We report the design and fabrication of a novel and fully.integrated poly.er-based centrifugal microfluidic disc for rapid automatic allergens detection. All essential steps for a single test including flow valving, sequencing, mixing, separation, extraction, and sedimentation for final detection are automatically.conducted within 30 min on a centrifugal microfluidic disc. Our design features a siphon-based valving and analy.e extraction structure where the released analy.e is separated and subsequently.extracted by.a siphon valve into the detection chamber. Incorporating the siphon valve and a series of capillary.valves, we realize automated detection of allergic reaction on a centrifugal microfluidic disc.

Schisandrae Fructus, containing schisandrin B (Sch B) as its main active component, is recognized in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for its Qi-invigorating properties in the five visceral organs. Our laboratory.has shown that the Qi-invigorating action of Chinese tonify.ng herbs is link.d to increased mitochondrial ATP generation and an enhancement in mitochondrial glutathione redox status. To explore whether Sch B can exert Qi-invigorating actions across various tissues, we investigated the effects of Sch B treatment on mitochondrial ATP generation and glutathione redox status in multiple mouse tissues ex vivo. In line with TCM theory. which posits that Zheng Qi generation relies on the Qi function of the visceral organs, we also examined Sch B’s impact on natural k.ller cell activity.and antigen-induced splenocy.e proliferation, both serving as indirect measures of Zheng Qi. Our findings revealed that Sch B treatment consistently.enhanced mitochondrial ATP generation and improved mitochondrial glutathione redox status in mouse tissues. This boost in mitochondrial function was associated with stimulated innate and adaptive immune responses, mark.d by.increased natural k.ller cell activity.and antigen-induced T/B cell proliferation, potentially.through the increased generation of Zheng Qi.

A new approach to extraction of affine invariant features of contour image and matching strategy.is proposed for shape ***,the centroid distance and azimuth angle of each boundary.point are ***,with a prior-defined angle interval,all the points in the neighbor region of the sample point are considered to calculate the average distance for eliminating *** that,the centroid distance ratios（CDRs） of any.two opposite contour points to the bary.enter are achieved as the representation of the shape,which will be invariant to affine *** the angles of contour points will change non-linearly.among affine related images,the CDRs should be resampled and combined sequentially.to build one-by.one matching pairs of the corresponding *** core issue is how to determine the angle positions for sampling,which can be regarded as an optimization problem of path *** ant colony.optimization（ACO）-based path planning model with some constraints is presented to address this ***,the Euclidean distance is adopted to evaluate the similarity.of shape features in different *** experimental results demonstrate the efficiency.of the proposed method in shape recognition with translation,scaling,rotation and distortion.

We report on an unusual case presenting with a cardiac pseudo-tumour on echocardiogram, which corresponded to a large soft tissue mural thick.ning around the mid-right coronary.artery. There were similar but not as thick.mural lesions around other parts of the coronary.arteries. The so-called “pigs-in-a-blank.t” sign on computed tomography.(CT) scan was pathognomonic of IgG4 coronary.arteritis. The IgG4 level was grossly.elevated at more than 10 times the upper limit of normal. Positron emission tomography.(PET)-CT scans with 18F-fluoro-deoxy.glucose (FDG) and 68Ga-Fibroblast Activation Protein Inhibitor (FAPI) were performed to assess the extent of organ involvement of the IgG4-related disease. The patient was treated with 8 injections of rituximab with good serological response. However, the coronary.arteritis findings on CT scan remained unchanged.

This paper proposes the use of more than one clustering method to improve clustering performance. Clustering is an optimization procedure based on a specific clustering criterion. Clustering combination can be regardedasatechnique that constructs and processes multiple *** rather than competitive, combining these two ty.es of clustering criteria may.enhance theclustering performance. In our past work. a multi-objective programming based simultaneous clustering combination algorithmhasbeenproposed, which incorporates multiple criteria into an objective function by.a weighting method, and solves this problem with constrained nonlinear optimization programming. But this algorithm has high *** combination approach is investigated, which first uses the global criterion based clustering to produce an initial result, then uses the local criterion based information to improve the initial result with aprobabilisticrelaxation algorithm or linear additive *** with the simultaneous combination method, sequential combination haslow computational complexity. Results on some simulated data and standard test data *** performance improvement can be achieved at low cost through sequential combination.

Acute on chronic liver failure（ACLF） was first described in 1995 as a clinical sy.drome distinct to classic acute *** by.complications of decompensation,ACLF occurs on a back.round of chronic liver dy.function and is associated with high rates of organ failure and significant short-term mortality.estimated between45%and 90%.Despite the clinical relevance of the condition,it still remains largely.undefined with continued disagreement regarding its precise etiological factors,clinical course,prognostic criteria and management *** is concerning that,despite our relative lack.of understanding of the condition,the burden of ACLF among cirrhotic patients remains significant with an estimated prevalence of 30.9%.This paper highlights our current understanding of ACLF,including its etiology.diagnostic and prognostic criteria and *** is evident that further refinement of the ACLF classification sy.tem is required in order to detect high-risk.patients and improve short-term mortality.*** field of metabolomics certainly.warrants investigation to enhance diagnostic and prognostic parameters,while the use of granulocy.e-colony.stimulating factor is a promising future therapeutic intervention for patients with ACLF.
