Localized high-concentration electrolytes(LHCE) have shown good compatibility with high-voltage lithium(li)-metal batteries, but their practicality is yet to be proved in terms of cost and safety. Here we develop a hybrid-LHCE with favorable integrated properties by combining the merits of two representative diluents, fluorobenzene(FB) and 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ether(TFE). Specifically,the extremely cheap and lightweight FB significantly reduces the cost and density of electrolyte, while the fire-retardant TFE circumvents the flammable nature of FB and thus greatly improves the safety of electrolyte. Moreover, the FB–TFE mixture enhances the thermodynamic stability of hybrid-LHCE and renders a controllable defluorination of FB, contributing to the formation of a thin and durable inorganic-rich solid electrolyte interphase(SEI) with rapid ion-transport kinetics. Benefiting from the designed hybridLHCE, a li|NCM523 battery demonstrates excellent cycling performance(215 cycles, 91% capacity retention) under challenging conditions of thin li-anode(30 μm) and high cathode loading(3.5 m Ah/cm^(2)).

Good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are the key factors for the application of biodegradable magnesium alloy wires as new medical implant *** study is aimed at investigating the influence of micros true tural evolution on mechanical and corrosion properties of Mg-2 Zn-0.5 Nd alloy(ZN20) during room-temperature *** decreases in the crosssectional area of ZN20 alloy during drawing refined the grains from 10 to 5 μm under the influence of cold deformation,the basal texture was rotated around radius direction,the basal texture became dominant,and the texture transformed from drawing direction(DD)// to a point between and parallel to *** ultimate tensile strength of the wire was increased by 44.7% compared with that of the extruded alloy due to grain boundary strengthening,hard orientation and work hardening during drawing process,while the elongation was decreased by 85% under the influence of work *** corrosion resistance of the alloy was improved after drawing due to grain refinement,while it was sensitive to prismatic texture.

We report a p24(HIV disease biomarker)detection assay using an MgO-based magnetic tunnel junction(MTJ)sensor and 20-nm magnetic *** MTJ array sensor with sensing area of 890×890μ2 possessing a sensitivity of 1.39%/Oe was used to detect p24 *** is demonstrated that the p24 antigens could be detected at a concentration of 0.01μg/*** development of bio-detection systems based on magnetic tunnel junction sensors with high-sensitivity will greatly benefit the early diagnosis of HIV.

Accessibility Comparison and Spatial Differentiation of Xi’an Scenic Spots with Different Modes Based on Baidu Real-time Travel

A study of the accessibility of a city’s scenic spots via different travel modes can contribute to optimization of tourism-related transportation while improving tourists’ travel-related satisfaction levels and advancing tourism. We systematically analyzed the accessibility of 56 scenic spots in Xi’an City, China, via car and public transport travel modes using the real-time travel function of the Baidu Maps API(Application Programming Interface) along with spatial analysis methods and the modal accessibility gap index of scenic spots. We obtained the following results. First, maximum and minimum travel times using public transport exceeded those using cars. Moreover, the accessibility of scenic spots via cars and public transport presented a circular spatial pattern of increasing travel time from the center to the periphery. Contrasting with travel by public transport, car travel showed a clear time-space compression effect. Second, accessibility of the scenic spots via cars and public transport showed some spatial heterogeneity, with no clear advantages of car accessibility in the central urban area. However, advantages of car accessibility were increasingly evident moving from the center to the periphery. Third, whereas the correlation of the modal accessibility gap index of scenic spots in Xi’an with global space was significantly positive, local spatial interdependence was only evident in some inner city areas and in marginal areas. Moreover, spatial heterogeneity was evident in two regions but was insignificant in other areas, indicating that the spatial interdependence of the modal accessibility gap index in most scenic spots was not apparent in terms of the overall effect of public transport routes, road networks, and the distribution of scenic spots. The improvement of public transport coverage in marginal areas and the optimization of public transport routes in central urban areas are essential tasks for improving travel using public transport in the futur

Rechargeable lithium/sodium-sulfur batteries working at room temperature(RT-li/S,RT-Na/S)appear to be a promising energy storage system in terms of high theoretical energy density,low cost,and abundant resources in *** are,thus,considered as highly attractive candidates for future application in energy storage ***,the solubility of sulfur species,sluggish kinetics of lithium/sodium sulfide compounds,and high reactivity of metallic anodes render these cells *** a consequence,metal-sulfur batteries present low reversible capacity and quick capacity loss,which hinder their practical *** to address these issues regarding S cathodes are critical to the increase of their performance and our fundamental understanding of RT-li/S and RT-Na/S battery ***-sulfur interactions,recently,have attracted considerable attention,and there have been new insights on pathways to high‐performance RT-li/Na sulfur batteries,due to the following factors:(1)deliberate construction of metal-sulfur interactions can enable a leap in capacity;(2)metal-sulfur interactions can confine S species,as well as sodium sulfide compounds,to stop shuttle effects;(3)traces of metal species can help to encapsulate a high loading mass of sulfur with high‐cost efficiency;and(4)metal components make electrodes more *** this review,we highlight the latest progress in sulfide immobilization via constructing metal bonding between various metals and S ***,we summarize the storage mechanisms of li/Na as well as the metal-sulfur interaction ***,the current challenges and future remedies in terms of intact confinement and optimization of the electrochemical performance of RT-li/Na sulfur systems are discussed in this review.

A composite conversion coating was prepared on magnesium alloy by the only one-step immersion treatment. The characteristics of the conversion coating were investigated by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）. The results indicate that the composite conversion coating consists of magnesium hydroxide, magnesium phosphate and man- ganese phosphate. The electrochemical behavior of the conversion coating was investigated systematically by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） and poten- tiodynamic polarization measurement in different NaC1 solutions. Polarization measurements and EIS results reveal that the magnesium alloy with the conversion coating have better corrosion resistance compared to the bare magnesium alloy in these conditions. And the corro- sion rate of the magnesium alloy with conversion coating increases consistently with the chloride ion concentration. In alkaline conditions, the magnesium alloy with conver- sion coating has superior corrosion resistance by the syn- ergistic effects between Mg（OH）2 film and conversion coating. Moreover, the electrochemical corrosion mechanism of the magnesium alloy was analyzed with respect to the conversion coating in a Cl^- containing environment.

The increase of total organic carbon content of the late Oligocene-early Miocene terrigenously-dominated marine shales in the shallower depth intervals was reported in the Ying-Qiong Basin,South China *** organic enriched lower Sanya Formation shales(early Miocene)have biomarker characteristics of tropical/subtropical plants,with abundant high molecular weight n-alkanes,angiosperm-derived oleanane,rearranged oleananesⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅱ,tricyclic/tetracyclic terpanes including des-A-oleanane,X,*,Y,Z,Z1 and bicadinanes W,T,T1,*** biomarker characteristics are suggestive of larger influx of the dominant tropical/subtropical angiosperms in flora under a warming and more humid climate during depositions of the lower Sanya Formation(early Miocene)than the older lingshui Formation(late Oligocene).The tropical/subtropical angiosperm input was thought as the prime control of terrigenous organic matter enrichment relative to the redox condition,and the coeval sea level changes and seafloor spreading in the South China *** of the terrigenous organic matter in the early Miocene shales is likely in association with the coeval peak East Asian summer monsoon intensity in the South China Sea.
