Two new iridium complexes, （dfppy）2Ir（L-alanine）（dfppy-2-（2,4-difluorophenyl）pyridine） and （piq）21r（L-alanine）（piq - 1-phenylisoquinoline） were prepared with L-alanine as ancillary ligand. The two complexes show bright greenish-blue and red emission respectively. Theoretic study demonstrated that the emission nature of these complexes is mainly determined by the main ligand. And their improved aqueous solubility and the retained quantum yield favor their application in cell imaging. Intracellular imaging suggested that these two complexes have fine cell membrane permeability and is mainly distributed in cytoplasm. This study displayed a new strategy to design aqueous soluble phosphorescent cyclometallated if（Ⅲ） complex via introducing amino acid as ancillary ligand.

Two pairs of Pt(Ⅱ) enantiomers((RR)/(SS)-Py Pt,((RR)/(SS)-Py: N,N’-(1,2-diphenylethane-1,2-diyl)dipicolinamide;(RR)-P/M-QPt,((RR)/(SS)-Q: N,N’-((1R,2R)-1,2-diphenylethane-1,2-diyl)bis(quinoline-2-carboxamide)) were synthesized, respectively, with good circularly polarized luminescence(CPL) and tunable dissymmetry factors(g) by molecular self-induction with(RR)/(SS)-1,2-diphenylethane-1,2-diamine as carbon chiral sources. In the(RR)-P-QPt and(SS)-M-QPt, specific P-and M-configurations were effectively induced from intrinsic chiral carbon centres(R or S), ingeniously avoiding the racemic mixture formation and chiral separation. Furthermore, the chirality originating from both chiral carbon centres and helicene-like structure improves the g factor significantly, which provides a new molecular design strategy for chiral Pt(II) enantiomers with good CPL properties.

The wave functions of the n1,3p (n=2, 3, 4) and the n 1,3D (n=3, 4, 5 ) low-lying states of the helium atom are expanded into the complete sets of the symmetrically adapted basis functions from hyperspherical harmonic functions in the angle part and of generalized Laguerre functions in the radial part respectively, and are then augmented by the simplest type of Jastrow correlation factor to incorporate electron-nucleus cusp only. The excellent agreement between the present nonrelativistic eigen-energies and those from the sophisticated configuration interaction (CI) method for the examined states indicates that the hyperspherical harmonic method can also be applied to the P and the D excited states of the helium atom.

Although it is usually latent on citrus, apple, and pear, apple stem grooving virus(ASGV) poses a great risk to many sensitive cultivars. Since severe leaf yellow mottle mosaic(LYMM) symptoms have been observed on Huangjinmiyou(HJY) pummelos(Citrus grandis cv. Huangjinmiyou), a commercial variety that is widely cultivated in South China, high throughput sequencing(HTS) was used to find potential pathogens and only three divergent ASGV variants were identified. The three ASGV variants shared 81.03–82.34% genome-wide pairwise identities with each other, and were separately closest to other ASGV variants from different hosts and/or geographical regions, as indicated by viral phylogenies. However, these new variants may have developed from viral interstrain interactions, based on the results of recombination analysis. A large-scale survey using reverse transcription-PCR(RT-PCR) protocols designed for the three ASGV variants revealed a high incidence(92.7–100%) of ASGV in symptomatic HJY trees from 11 major citrusproducing regions in China. None of ASGV were detected in asymptomatic trees. Temperature treatments applied to the symptomatic HJY plants showed that ASGV is sensitive to high temperatures(30–35°C), at which not only the plants recovered, but also the viruses were not detected by RT-PCR, while at low temperatures(20–24°C), both the symptoms and viruses remained detectable. These data show that ASGV is associated with the LYMM disease prevalent on HJY in China, and this is the significant basis especially of taking appropriate measures timely to manage the disease.
