A remote control system has been developed to deliver stimuli into the rat brain through a wireless micro-stimulator for animal behavior training. The system consists of the following main components： an integrated PC control program, a transmitter and a receiver based on Bluetooth （BT） modules, a stimulator controlled by C8051 microprocessor, as well as an operant chamber and an eight-arm radial maze. The micro-stimulator is featured with its changeable amplitude of pulse output for both constant-voltage and constant-current mode, which provides an easy way to set the proper suitable stimulation intensity for different training. The system has been used in behavior experiments for monitoring and recording bar-pressing in the operant chamber, controlling rat roaming in the eight-arm maze, as well as navigating rats through a 3D obstacle route. The results indicated that the system worked stably and that the stimulation was effective for different types of rat behavior controls. In addition, the results showed that stimulation in the whisker barrel region of rat primary somatosensory cortex （SI） acted like a cue. The animals can be trained to take different desired turns upon the association between the SI cue stimulation and the reward stimulation in the medial forehrain bundle （MFB）.

Photometric observations of AH Cnc, a W UMa-type system in the open cluster M67, were car- fled out by using the 50BIN telescope. About 100h of time-series/3- and V-band data were taken, based on which eight new times of light minima were determined. By applying the Wilson-Devinney method, the light curves were modeled and a revised photometric solution of the binary system was derived. We con- firmed that AH Cnc is a deep contact （f = 51%）, low mass-ratio （q - 0.156） system. Adopting the distance modulus derived from study of the host cluster, we have re-calculated the physical parameters of the binary system, namely the masses and radii. The masses and radii of the two components were estimated to be respectively 1.188（4-0.061） Me, 1.332（4-0.063） RQ for the primary component and 0.185（4-0.032） Me, 0.592（4-0.051） Re for the secondary. By adding the newly derived minimum timings to all the available data, the period variations of AH Cnc were studied. This shows that the orbital period of the binary is con- tinuously increasing at a rate of dp/dt = 4.29 x 10-10 d yr-1. In addition to the long-term period increase, a cyclic variation with a period of 35.26 yr was determined, which could be attributed to an unresolved tertiary component of the system.

BACKGROUND The incidence of proximal gastric cancer(GC)is increasing,and methods for the prediction of the long-term survival of proximal GC patients have not been well *** To develop nomograms for the prediction of long-term survival among proximal GC *** Between January 2007 and june 2013,we prospectively collected and retrospectively analyzed the medical records of 746 patients with proximal GC,who were divided into a training set(n=560,75%)and a validation set(n=186,25%).A Cox regression analysis was used to identify the preoperative and postoperative risk factors for overall survival(OS).RESULTS Among the 746 patients examined,the 3-and 5-year OS rates were 66.1%and 58.4%,*** the training set,preoperative T stage(cT),N stage(cN),CA19-9,tumor size,ASA core,and 3-to 6-mo weight loss were incorporated into the preoperative nomogram to predict the *** addition to these variables,lymphatic vascular infiltration(LVI),postoperative tumor size,T stage,N stage,blood transfusions,and complications were incorporated into the postoperative *** calibration curves used to determine the OS probability fit *** the training set,the preoperative nomogram achieved a C-index of 0.751[95%confidence interval(CI):0.732-0.770]in predicting OS and accurately stratified the patients into four prognostic subgroups(5-year OS rates:86.8%,73.0%,43.72%,and 20.9%,Phe postoperative nomogram had a C-index of 0.758 in predicting OS and accurately stratified the patients into four prognostic subgroups(5-year OS rates:82.6%,74.3%,45.9%,and 18.9%,Phe nomograms accurately predicted the pre-and postoperative long-term survival of proximal GC patients.

Charge density wave(CDW)strongly affects the electronic properties of two-dimensional(2D)materials and can be tuned by phase *** 2D transitional metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),VTe_(2)was predicted to require small energy for its phase transition and shows unexpected CDW states in its ***,the CDW state of H-VTe_(2)has been barely ***,we investigate the CDW states in monolayer(ML)H-VTe_(2),induced by phase-engineering from T-phase VTe_(2).The phase transition between T-and H-VTe_(2)is revealed with x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM)*** H-VTe_(2),scanning tunneling microscope(STM)and low-energy electron diffraction(LEED)results show a robust 2√3×2√3CDW superlattice with a transition temperature above 450 *** findings provide a promising way for manipulating the CDWs in 2D materials and show great potential in its application of nanoelectronics.

Mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR) inhibitor as an attractive drug target with promising antitumor effects has been widely investigated. High quality clinical trial has been conducted in liver transplant(LT) recipients in Western countries. However, the pertinent studies in Eastern world are paucity. Therefore, we designed a clinical trial to test whether sirolimus can improve recurrence-free survival(RFS) in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients beyond the Milan criteria after LT. This is an open-labeled, single-arm, prospective, multicenter, and real-world study aiming to evaluate the clinical outcomes of early switch to sirolimus-based regimens in HCC patients after LT. Patients with a histologically proven HCC and beyond the Milan criteria will be enrolled. The initial immunosuppressant regimens are center-specifc for the frst 4-6 weeks. The following regimens integrated sirolimus into the regimens as a combination therapy with reduced calcineurin inhibitors based on the condition of patients and centers. The study is planned for 4 years in total with a 2-year enrollment period and a 2-year follow-up. We predict that sirolimus conversion regimen will provide survival benefts for patients particular in the key indicator RFS as well as better quality of life. If the trial is conducted successfully, we will have a continued monitoring over a longer follow-up time to estimate indicator of overall survival. We hope that the outcome will provide better evidence for clinical decision-making and revising treatment guidelines based on Chinese population data.

Interleukin-37b(hereafter called IL-37)was identified as fundamental inhibitor of natural and acquired *** molecular mechanism and function of IL-37 in colorectal cancer(CRC)has been ***,we found that IL-37 transgenic(IL-37tg)mice were highly susceptible to colitis-associated colorectal cancer(CAC)and suffered from dramatically increased tumor burdens in ***,IL-37 is dispensable for intestinal mutagenesis,and CRC cell proliferation,apoptosis,and ***,IL-37 dampened protective cytotoxic T cell-mediated immunity in CAC and B16-OVA ***8^(+)T cell dysfunction is defined by reduced retention and activation as well as failure to proliferate and produce cytotoxic cytokines in IL-37tg mice,enabling tumor evasion of immune *** dysfunction led by IL-37 antagonizes IL-18–induced proliferation and effector function of CD8+T cells,which was dependent on SIGIRR(single immunoglobulin interleukin-1 receptor-related protein).Finally,we observed that IL-37 levels were significantly increased in CRC patients,and positively correlated with serum CRC biomarker CEA levels,but negatively correlated with the CD8+T cell infiltration in CRC *** findings highlight the role of IL-37 in harnessing antitumor immunity by inactivation of cytotoxic T cells and establish a new defined inhibitory factor IL-37/SIGIRR in cancerimmunity cycle as therapeutic targets in CRC.

Fission fragments yields and average total kinetic energy are fundamental nuclear data for nuclear energy applications and the study of nuclear *** fission products,such as ^(95)Zr,^(99)Mo,^(140)Ba,^(144)Ce,and ^(147)Nd,serve as burnup monitors,assessing the number of fissions induced by neutrons on ^(235)***,current experimental data for these fission products worldwide are inconsistent,introducing significant uncertainty into related scientific *** this study,we employed the Potential-driving Model to calculate the independent yields of ^(235)U and evaluate its advantages in such ***,we investigated the energy dependence of independent yields to select important ***,we calculated the cumulative yields of ^(95)Zr,^(99)Mo,^(140)Ba,^(144)Ce,and ^(147)Nd,and compared them with existing literature data to explore the energy dependence of fission products for ^(235)*** the lack of fission product yield data above 14.8 MeV,we extended our calculated incident neutron energy to 20 MeV,aiming to support future scientific *** Geant4 physical model does not consider the influence of incident neutron energy on the average total kinetic energy of fission fragments;thus,we introduced the excitation function of the total kinetic energy of fission fragments recommended by Madland et al.,which effectively describes the experimental data of the average total kinetic energy of fragments formed in ^(235)U *** this paper,we comprehensively discuss the energy dependence of fission product yields and average total kinetic energy.
