Silicon carbide fiber reinforced silicon carbide matrix(SiC_(f)/SiC)composite is the key cladding material of nuclear fuel,which determines the safety and reliability of nuclear fuel storage and *** replacement of its storage and transportation scenario needs to be completed by the manipulator,but the application of SiC_(f)/SiC wear,fracture,and nuclear leakage in the snatching process of brittle-flexible-rigid contact in the irradiation environment has been seriously restricted due to unclear understanding of the damage ***,the effects of irradiation dose and clamping load on the friction characteristics of the contact interface between SiC_(f)/SiC clad tube are studied in this paper,and the effects of irradiation parameters and clamping force on the static friction coefficient of the contact interface between the clad tube and flexible nitrile are *** on the Greenwood-Williamson tribological model,a numerical model of the shape and structure of the contact micro-convex at the micro-scale of the clamping interface is constructed by introducing the multi-surface integral,and finally verified by *** research results show that there is a unique“Irradiation suppression zone”under the clamping condition of SiC_(f)/SiC cladding tube under the nuclear irradiation environment,and the growth of static friction coefficient slows down until stagnates after irradiation reaches a certain extent(600 kGy),and there will be a decline when the irradiation dose continues to increase,among which the clamping force of 15.2 N within the irradiation interval of 1,000 kGy can meet the safety of nuclear environment *** results of this paper can provide an important theoretical basis and application guidance for the safe operation of SiC_(f)/SiC cladding tubes in the storage and transportation clamping process.

Because robotic milling has become an important means for machining significant large parts,obtaining the structural frequency response function(FRF)of a milling robot is an important basis for machining process ***,because of its articulated serial structure,a milling robot has an enormous number of operating postures,and its dynamics are affected by the motion *** accurately obtain the FRF in the operating state of a milling robot,this paper proposes a method based on the structural modification *** the traditional excitation method,the proposed method uses robot joint motion excitation instead of hammering excitation to realize *** address the problem of the lack of information brought by motion excitation,which leads to inaccurate FRF amplitudes,this paper derives the milling robot regularization theory based on the sensitivity of structural modification,establishes the modal regularization factor,and calibrates the FRF *** to the commonly used manual hammering experiments,the proposed method has high accuracy and reliability when the milling robot is in different *** the measurement can be performed directly and automatically in the operation state,and the problem of inaccurate amplitudes is solved,the proposed method provides a basis for optimizing the machining posture of a milling robot and improving machining efficiency.

On the low cycle fatigue behaviour of an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy processed via non-isothermal ageing

The low cycle fatigue behaviour of an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy processed via non-isothermal ageing(NIA)was examined at different strain *** showed that NIA improved the low cycle fatigue life(more than 7000 cycles)by optimising the precipitate configuration within 5.5 h while maintaining comparable mechanical properties(570 MPa for tensile strength)and conductivity(nearly 39%IACS)to conventional isothermal ageing,*** observation combined with molecular dynamic simula-tion revealed that precipitation configuration manipulated by NIA had a crucial effect on fatigue resis-tance.A great number of repeatedly sheared and locally destructed GP zones enhanced co-planar slip and slip localisation in the under-aged alloy during the early stage of NIA,responsible for the dramatic displacement steps on the surface and resultant poor fatigue *** the NIA further proceeded,moderately coarsened precipitates with an average dimension of 6.0 nm and elevated number density ef-fectively impeded the dislocation movement and weaken the slip localisation to a great extent,improving the fatigue performance within a few hours.

Atomically-dispersed iron-based electrocatalysts are promising substitutes for noble metal electrocatalysts because of excellent performance in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Rationally modulating the local coordination environment of the Fe site and optimizing the binding energy of oxygen reduction intermediates are effective strategies to optimize ORR ***,we report a new method in which Ni is introduced to construct NiFe dual single atoms and iron nanoclusters loaded on the nitrogen-doped carbon with a highly porous *** design plays a synergistic role of dual single atoms and clusters,optimizes the 3d orbital and Fermi level of Fe,breaks the symmetrical structure of Fe-N_(4),and effectively improves the adsorption/desorption behavior of the oxygen-containing *** tests show FeNCs/NiFeSAs-NC has an excellent intrinsic *** calculations show the oxygen-containing species on the Ni active site will move to the middle of NiFe(bridge site connection)after optimization and that the key step is OH desorption,with a reaction energy of 0.27 *** electron exchange between NiFe-N6 and Fe-cluster is very strong,further indicating the introduction of Ni species and Fe clusters has a regulatory effect on the electronic structure of Fe-N_(4).

In-situ sludge reduction based on Mn^(2+)-catalytic ozonation conditioning:Feasibility study and microbial mechanisms

To improve the sludge conditioning efficiency without increasing the ozone dose,an in-situ sludge reduction process based on Mn^(2+)-catalytic ozonation conditioning was *** ozone conditioning alone as a control,a lab-scale sequencing batch reactor coupled with ozonated sludge recycle was evaluated for its operating performance at an ozone dose of 75 mg O_(3)/g VSS and 1.5 mmol/L Mn^(2+)*** results showed a 39.4%reduction in MLSS and an observed sludge yield of 0.236 kg MLSS/kg COD for the O_(3)+Mn^(2+)group compared to the O_(3)group (15.3%and 0.292 kg MLSS/kg COD),accompanied by better COD,NH_(4)^(+)-N,TN and TP removal,improved effluent SS and limited impact on excess sludge ***,activity tests,BIOLOG ECO microplates and 16S rRNA sequencing were applied to elucidate the changing mechanisms of Mn^(2+)-catalytic ozonation related to microbial action:(1) Dehydrogenase activity reached a higher peak.(2) Microbial utilization of total carbon sources had an elevated effect,up to approximately 18%,and metabolic levels of six carbon sources were also increased,especially for sugars and amino acids most pronounced.(3) The abundance of Defluviicoccus under the phylum Proteobacteria was enhanced to 12.0%and dominated in the sludge,they had strong hydrolytic activity and metabolic *** bacteria of the genus Ferruginibacter also showed an abundance of 7.6%,they contributed to the solubilization and reduction of sludge *** results could guide researchers to further reduce ozonation conditioning costs,improve sludge management and provide theoretical support.

As some of the greatest natural disasters in the cryosphere,ice avalanches(IAs)seriously threaten lives and cause catastrophic damage to the resource environment,but a comprehensive overview of the state of knowledge on IAs remains *** summarized 63 IAs on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)since the 20th century,of which,over 20 IAs occurred after the 21st *** distributions of IAs are mainly concentrated in the southeastern and northwestern TP,and the occurrence time of IAs is mostly concentrated from July to *** highlight recent advances in mechanical properties and genetic mechanisms of IAs and emphasize that temperature,rainfall,and seismicity are the inducing *** failure modes of IAs are summarized into 6 categories by examples:slip pulling type,slip toppling type,slip breaking type,water level collapse type,cave roof collapse type,and wedge failure ***,we deliver recommendations concerning the risk assessment and prediction of *** results provide important scientific value for addressing climate change and resisting glacier-related hazards.

Wide‑field swept‑source OCT angiography of the periarterial capillary‑free zone before and after anti‑VEGF therapy for branch retinal vein occlusion

Background:The aim of the study was to investigate the changes in the periarterial capillary-free zone(paCFZ)after anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)therapy in patients with branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO)by widefield swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography(SS-OCTA)and assess their associations with clinical ***:In this retrospective observational study of 54 treatment-naive BRVO patients with macular edema,we reviewed the findings of 12×12 mm^(2)SS-OCTA at baseline,3,6,and 12 months after intravitreal ranibizumab *** paCFZ and major retinal artery areas were measured on SS-OCTA *** paCFZ area to artery area(P/A)ratio was ***:The paCFZ areas and P/A ratios of first-and second-order arteries were significantly greater in BRVO eyes than in contralateral eyes(all P<0.01),but there were no differences in the first-and second-order artery areas(P=0.20 and 0.25,respectively).The paCFZ areas and P/A ratios decreased significantly at 3,6,and 12 months after anti-VEGF therapy(all P<0.01).The baseline P/A ratio was significantly correlated with the baseline best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),central retinal thickness,and their improvements at 3,6,and 12 months(all P<0.05).Baseline BCVA and P/A ratios of first-and second-order arteries were independently associated with the final BCVA in multivariate linear ***:Wide-field SS-OCTA shows that anti-VEGF therapy can lead to a significant improvement in the paCFZ parameters in *** baseline P/A ratios on SS-OCTA tend to predict better visual outcomes at 12 months after anti-VEGF therapy.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),a malignant tumor originating from the nasopharynx,is one of the common malignant tumors of the head and *** are significant geographical differences in the incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma,with a high incidence in China and Southeast Asian ***,we designed and synthesized a novel near-infrared fluorescent(NIRF)probe to detect glutathione(GSH)in cellular and tumor environments using semi-naphthofluorescein(SNAFL)as the fluorescent molecular backbone and 2-fluoro-4-nitrobenzenesulfonate as the recognition *** reaction with GSH,SNAFL-GSH emitted a fluorescence signal,and its emission wavelength at 650 nm was remarkably *** results of selectivity experiments indicated that SNAFL-GSH was able to discriminate GSH from Cys,Hcy,and H_(2) ***,SNAFL-GSH could image both endogenous and exogenous GSH and distinguish normal and cancer cells by fluorescence signal *** the cellular level,cisplatin(DDP)-induced ferroptosis and inhibition of proliferation of various NPC cell lines(CNE2,CNE1,5-8F cells)by erastin combined with DDP were visualized with the help of *** a mouse tumor xenograft model,we successfully employed SNAFL-GSH for the evaluation of the efficacy of erastin combined with DDP in the treatment of *** importantly,the probe could image cancerous tissue sections from NPC patients with an imaging depth of approximately 80µ*** was foreseen that SNAFL-GSH offered great potential for application in the diagnosis and evaluation of the therapeutic efficacy of NPC,and these results would also provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of NPC.

A chorismate mutase from Radopholus similis plays an essential role in pathogenicity

In the process of infecting plants, plant parasitic nematodes release a series of proteins that play an essential role in the successful infection and pathogenesis of plant cells and tissues through stylets or body walls. In this study,based on transcriptome data, a chorismate mutase gene of Radopholus similis(RsCM) was identified and cloned,which is a single copy gene specifically expressed in the oesophageal gland and highly expressed in juveniles and females. Transient expression of RsCM in tobacco leaves showed that it was localised in the cytoplasm and nucleus of tobacco leaf cells, which inhibited the pattern-triggered immunity(PTI) induced by flg22, including callose deposition and defence gene expression, and cell death induced by immune elicitors BAX, but could not inhibit cell death induced by immune elicitors Gpa2/RBP-1. The RNA interference(RNAi) transgenic tomato of RsCM obviously inhibited the infection, pathogenicity, and reproduction of R. similis. However, the resistance of the overexpression transgenic tomato of RsCM to R. similis infection was significantly reduced, and the expression levels of two salicylic acid(SA) pathway genes(PR1 and PR5) in roots infected by the nematode were significantly down-regulated,which indicated that RsCM might be involved in the inhibition of SA pathway. The results of this study demonstrate that RsCM suppresses the host immune system and might be a new target for the control of R. similis, which also provides new data for the function and mechanism of CM genes of migratory parasitic plant nematodes.
