Given its intriguing band structure and unique tunable bandgap,AB-stacked bilayer graphene has great potentials in the applications of high-end electronics,optoelectronics and semiconductors.The epitaxial growth of AB-stacked single-crystal bilayer graphene films requires a strict AB-stacked lattice,identical orientations and seamless stitching of bilayer graphene islands.However,the particles inevitably present on the metal surface that produced during high temperature growth would induce random orientations,twisted stacking islands,and uncontrollable multilayers,which is a great challenge to overcome.Here,we propose a heat-resisting-box assisted strategy to produce nearly pure AB-stacked bilayer graphene single-crystal films on Cu/Ni(111)foils.With our technique,the particles on the Cu/Ni(111)surface are effectively eliminated,which greatly minimizes the occurrence of randomly twisted islands and uncontrollable multilayers.The as-grown AB-stacked bilayer graphene films show>99%alignment and>99%AB stacking order.Our work provides a promising method towards the growth of pure AB-stacked bilayer graphene single crystals and would accelerate its device applications.

BACKGROUND An increasing number of studies have begun to discuss the relationship between gut microbiota and diseases,yet there is currently a lack of corresponding articles describing the association between gut microbiota and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and biliary tract cancer(BTC).This study aims to explore the relationship between them using Mendelian randomization(MR)analysis method.AIM To assess the relationship between gut microbiota and HCC and BTC.METHODS We obtained Genome-wide association study(GWAS)data for the gut microbiome from the intestinal microbiota genomic library(MiBioGen,https://mibiogen.***.rug.nl/).Additionally,we accessed data pertaining to HCC and BTC from the IEU open GWAS platform(https://gwas.***.ac.uk/).Our analysis employed fundamental instrumental variable analysis methods,including inverse-variance weighted,MR and Egger.To ensure the dependability of the results,we subjected the results to tests for multiple biases and heterogeneity.RESULTS During our investigation,we discovered 11 gut microbiota linked to an increased risk to BTC and HCC.The former included the genus Eubacterium hallii group(P=0.017),Candidatus Soleaferrea(P=0.034),Flavonifractor(P=0.021),Lachnospiraceae FCS020(P=0.034),the order Victivallales(P=0.018),and the class Lentisphaeria(P=0.0.18).The latter included the genus Desulfovibrio(P=0.042),Oscillibacter(P=0.023),the family Coriobacteriaceae(P=0.048),the order Coriobacteriales(P=0.048),and the class Coriobacteriia(P=0.048).Furthermore,in BTC,we observed 2 protective gut microbiota namely the genus Dorea(P=0.041)and Lachnospiraceae ND3007 group(P=0.045).All results showed no evidence of multiplicity or heterogeneity.CONCLUSION This study explores a causal link between gut microbiota and HCC and BTC.These insights may enhance the mechanistic knowledge of microbiota-related HCC and BTC pathways,potentially informing therapeutic strategies.

Crossover recombination is a hallmark of meiosis that holds the paternal and maternal chromosomes(homologs) together for their faithful segregation, while promoting genetic diversity of the progeny. The pattern of crossover is mainly controlled by the architecture of the meiotic chromosomes. Environmental factors, especially temperature, also play an important role in modulating crossovers. However, it is unclear how temperature affects crossovers. Here, we examined the distribution of budding yeast axis components(Red1, Hop1, and Rec8)and the crossover-associated Zip3 foci in detail at different temperatures, and found that both increased and decreased temperatures result in shorter meiotic chromosome axes and more crossovers. Further investigations showed that temperature changes coordinately enhanced the hyperabundant accumulation of Hop1 and Red1 on chromosomes and the number of Zip3 foci. Most importantly, temperature-induced changes in the distribution of axis proteins and Zip3 foci depend on changes in DNA negative supercoils. These results suggest that yeast meiosis senses temperature changes by increasing the level of negative supercoils to increase crossovers and modulate chromosome organization. These findings provide a new perspective on understanding the effect and mechanism of temperature on meiotic recombination and chromosome organization, with important implications for evolution and breeding.

Cumulative evidence suggests that O-linkedβ-N-acetylglucosaminylation(OGlcNAcylation)plays an important regulatory role in pathophysiological processes.Although the regulatory mechanisms of O-GlcNAcylation in tumors have been gradually elucidated,the potential mechanisms of O-GlcNAcylation in bone metabolism,particularly,in the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs)remains unexplored.In this study,the literature related to O-GlcNAcylation and BMSC osteogenic differentiation was reviewed,assuming that it could trigger more scholars to focus on research related to OGlcNAcylation and bone metabolism and provide insights into the development of novel therapeutic targets for bone metabolism disorders such as osteoporosis.

Neuropeptides are widely distributed in vertebrates and invertebrates,regulating a variety of physiological activities in the organisms,such as metabolism,feeding and reproduction.In this study,to explore the function of neuropeptide LFRFamide in Sepia pharaonis,the full-length cDNA of LFRFamide-like gene(named SpLFRFL,MG869822.1)was identified with rapid amplification of cDNA ends(RACE)method.The sequence of SpLFRFL was 860 bp in length and encoded 188 amino acids containing 4 different mature peptides:1 copy of PHTPFRFamide,NSLFRFamide,TIFRFamide,and 3 copies of GNLFRFamide.Multiple alignment and phylogenetic analysis results showed that SpLFRFL shared high identity with LFRFamides of Sepia officinalis and Sepiella japonica and had the closest relationship with them.Through quantitative Real-time PCR(qRT-PCR),it was found that the SpLFRFL gene was highly expressed in the optic lobe and brain at three different stages during gonad development in both genders.Moreover,the four mature peptides at a concentration of 0.01μmol L^(−1) could inhibit the protein synthesis in the Chinese hamster ovary cell strain-K1(CHOK1)induced by SpGnRH.These data suggest that SpLFRFL might be involved in the development and reproduction of S.pharaonis.The results can contribute to future studies on neuropeptide evolution and function and benefit the cuttlefish farming.

Distributed quantum computation has gained extensive attention.In this paper,we consider a search problem that includes only one target item in the unordered database.After that,we propose a distributed exact Grover’s algorithm(DEGA),which decomposes the original search problem into■n/2■parts.Specifically,(i)our algorithm is as exact as the modified version of Grover’s algorithm by Long,which means the theoretical probability of finding the objective state is 100%;(ii)the actual depth of our circuit is 8(n mod 2)+9,which is less than the circuit depths of the original and modified Grover’s algorithms,1+8■π/4√2^(n)■and 9+8■π/4√2^(n)-1/2■,respectively.It only depends on the parity of n,and it is not deepened as n increases;(iii)we provide particular situations of the DEGA on MindQuantum(a quantum software)to demonstrate the practicality and validity of our method.Since our circuit is shallower,it will be more resistant to the depolarization channel noise.

Aerodynamic and structural characteristics of helicopter rotor in circling flight

To investigate the distinct properties of the helicopter rotors during circling flight,the aerodynamic and dynamic models for the main rotor are established considering the trim conditions and the flight parameters of helicopters.The free wake method is introduced to compute the unsteady aerodynamic loads of the rotor characterized by distortions of rotor wakes,and the modal superposition method is used to predict the overall structural loads of the rotor.The effectiveness of the aerodynamic and the structural methods is verified by comparison with the experimental results,whereby the influences of circling direction,radius,and velocity are evaluated in both aerodynamic and dynamic aspects.The results demonstrate that the circling condition makes a great difference to the performance of rotor vortex,as well as the unsteady aerodynamic loads.With the decrease of the circling radius or the increment of the circling velocity,the thrust of the main rotor increases apparently to balance the inertial force.Meanwhile,the harmonics of aerodynamic loads in rotor disc change severely and an evident aerodynamic load shock appears at high-order components,which further causes a shift-of-peak-phase bending moment in the flap dimension.Moreover,the advancing side of blade experiences second blade/vortex interaction,whose intensity has a distinct enhancement as the circling radius decreases with the motion of vortexes.

Dense microwave dielectric ceramics of Ce_(2)[Zr_(1−x)(Al_(1/2)Ta_(1/2))_(x)]_(3)(MoO_(4))_(9)(CZMAT) (x = 0.02–0.10) were prepared by the conventional solid-state route. The effects of (Al1/2Ta1/2)^(4+) on their microstructures, sintering behaviors, and microwave dielectric properties were systematically investigated. On the basis of the X-ray diffraction (XRD) results, all the samples were matched well with Pr_(2)Zr_(3)(MoO_(4))_(9) structures, which belonged to the space group R3¯c. The lattice parameters were obtained using the Rietveld refinement method. The correlations between the chemical bond parameters and microwave dielectric properties were calculated and analyzed by using the Phillips—Van Vechten—Levine (P—V—L) theory. Excellent dielectric properties of Ce_(2)[Zr_(0.94)(Al_(1/2)Ta_(1/2))_(0.06)]_(3)(MoO_(4))_(9) with a relative permittivity (ε_(r)) of 10.46, quality factor (Q × f) of 83,796 GHz, and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τ_(f)) of −11.50 ppm/℃ were achieved at 850 ℃.

Bio-immobilization and recovery of chromium using a denitrifying biofilm system: Identification of reaction zone, binding forms and end products

Chromium is an important resource in strategic metals.Different from most studies focusing on the bio-reduction of hexavalent chromium[Cr(VI)],this study aims to achieve the immobilization and recovery of chromium using a sequencing batch biofilm reactor.Results showed that Cr(VI) removal efficiency remained more than 99%,and 97%of reduced Cr(III) was immobilized in the biofilm.Immobilization zone,chromium forms and extracellular polymeric substances composition changes were combined to reveal the mechanism of Cr(VI) reduction and immobilization.The chromium distribution in biofilm demonstrated that intercellular layer was the main active zone with an immobilization amount of 891.70±126.32 mg/g-VSS.The reduced products analysis confirmed that trivalent chromium[Cr(III)]chelated with carboxyl,amino and other functional groups and immobilized in the form of organic Cr(III).The digestion method realized a chromium recovery efficiency of 74.59%.This study provides an alternative method for the bioremediation and resources recovery in chromium polluted wastewater.
