Optimal phase estimation with photon-number difference measurement using twin-Fock states of light

Quantum phase measurement with multiphoton twin-Fock states has been shown to be optimal for detecting equal numbers of photons at the output ports of a Mach–Zehnder interferometer(i.e., the so-called single-fringe detection), since the phase sensitivity can saturate the quantum Cramér–Rao lower bound at certain values of phase shift. Here we report a further step to achieve a global phase estimation at the Heisenberg limit by detecting the particle-number difference(i.e., the ?_z measurement). We show the role of experimental imperfections on the ultimate estimation precision with the six-photon twin-Fock state of light. Our results show that both the precision and the sensing region of the ?_z measurement are better than those of the single-fringe detection, due to combined contributions of the measurement outcomes. We numerically simulate the phase estimation protocol using an asymptotically unbiased maximum likelihood estimator.

Enzymatic hydrolysis of proteins can enhance their emulsifying properties and antioxidant ***,the problem related to the hydrolysis of proteins was the generation of the bitter ***,high hydrostatic pressure(HHP)treatment has attracted much interest and has been used in several studies on protein ***,the study aimed to investigate the effects of enzymatic hydrolysis by Corolase PP under different pressure treatments(0.1,100,200,and 300 MPa for 1-5 h at 50℃)on the emulsifying property,antioxidant activity,and bitterness of soybean protein isolate hydrolysate(SPIH).As observed,the hydrolysate obtained at 200 MPa for 4 h had the highest emulsifying activity index(47.49 m^(2)/g)and emulsifying stability index(92.98%),and it had higher antioxidant activities(44.77%DPPH free radical scavenging activity,31.12%superoxide anion radical scavenging activity,and 61.50%copper ion chelating activity).At the same time,the enhancement of emulsion stability was related to the increase of zeta potential and the decrease of mean particle *** addition,the hydrolysate obtained at 200 MPa for 4 h had a lower bitterness value and showed better *** study has a broad application prospect in developing food ingredients and healthy foods.

Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))is emerging as a promising visible-light photocatalyst while the low crystallinity with sluggish charge separation/migration dynamics signiﬁcantly restricts its practical ***,synthesizing highly crystalline g-C_(3)N_(4) with sufﬁcient surface activities still remains ***,different from using alkali molten salts which is commonly reported,we propose an approach for synthesis of highly crystalline g-C_(3)N_(4) with FeCl3/KCl rock/molten mixed *** rock salt can serve as the structure-directing template while molten salt provides the required liquid medium for ***,the synthesized photocatalyst showed further enhanced crystallinity and improved surface area along with high p/p*excitation compared with crystalline C_(3)N_(4) prepared from conventional molten-salt *** catalytically advantageous features lead to its superior photocatalytic and piezocatalytic activities with a high reactivity for overall water splitting that is not commonly reported for C_(3)N_(4).This work provides an effective strategy for structural optimization of organic semiconductor based materials and may inspire new ideas for the design of advanced photocatalysts.

The strong pyrocatalytic dye decomposition of the BaTiO_(3)/Pr_(2)O_(3) heterojunction catalyst under cold–hot alternation conditions has been demonstrated in this *** pure BaTiO_(3) nanofibers,~54%rhodamine B(RhB)dye is decomposed under the cold–hot alternation of 29–57℃.With the loading content of Pr_(2)O_(3) increases from 0 to 4 wt%,the pyrocatalytic decomposition ratio of RhB solution increases first and then decreases,eventually achieving a maximum of 91%at 3 wt%.The enhanced pyrocatalytic performance after loading Pr_(2)O_(3) can be attributed to an internal electric field of the heterojunction,which effectively separates positive and negative *** strongly pyrocatalytic performance of BaTiO_(3)/Pr_(2)O_(3) makes it hopeful for applications in the dye wastewater treatment through harvesting the environmental cold–hot temperature alternation thermal energy in future.

Despite decades of laboratory and clinical trials,breast cancer remains the main cause of cancer-related disease burden in *** the metabolism destruction effect of metformin(Met)and cancer cell starvation induced by glucose oxidase(GOx),after their efficient delivery to tumor sites,GOx and Met may consume a large amount of glucose and produce sufficient hydrogen peroxide in ***,a pH-responsive epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)-conjugated low-molecular-weight chitosan(LC-EGCG,LE)nanoparticle(Met–GOx/Fe@LE NPs)was *** coordination between iron ions(Fe3+)and EGCG in this nanoplatform can enhance the efficacy of chemodynamic therapy via the Fenton ***–GOx/Fe@LE NPs allow GOx to retain its enzymatic activity while simultaneously improving its ***,this pH-responsive nanoplatform presents controllable drug release *** in vivo biodistribution study showed that the intracranial accumulation of GOx delivered by this nanoplatform was 3.6-fold higher than that of the free *** in vivo anticancer results indicated that this metabolism destruction/starvation/chemodynamic triple-combination therapy could induce increased apoptosis/death of tumor cells and reduce their *** triple-combination therapy approach is promising for efficient and targeted cancer treatment.

IGF2BPs as novel m^(6)A readers:Diverse roles in regulating cancer cell biological functions,hypoxia adaptation,metabolism,and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment

AIM:To examine the associations between female menstrual or reproductive factors and the development of systemic sclerosis(SSc) in ***:In this hospital-based case-control study,for each subject,data on reproductive and menstrual factors such as number of births,abortions,and age at menarche were obtained by structured *** estimates,measured by the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(CI),were obtained by unconditional logistics ***,meta-analysis was performed and pooled OR with 95% CI for the number of pregnancies and abortions were ***:There were 166 SSc and 392 female controls seen during the study *** results showed women with late menarche age(≥17 years) were less likely than those with earlier age at menarche to develop SSc(OR 0.347,95% CI 0.174-0.693) and compared with women without abortion,women with abortion(1 time) were at reduced risk of developing SSc(P =.036).After adjusting for potential confounders such as occupation and body mass index(BMI),late age at menarche(≥17 years) was associated with a decreased risk of SSc(OR 0.187,95% CI 0.068-0.513),but abortions were not significantly related to *** meta-analysis revealed there was no association between SSc and abortions or number of *** significant publication bias was observed(P >.05).CONCLUSION:Late age at menarche was associated with a reduced risk of SSc but abortion may not be an independent risk factor for *** investigations are required to verify our findings.

m^(6)A methylation is the most frequent modification of mRNA in eukaryotes and plays a crucial role in cancer progression by regulating biological ***-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding proteins(IGF2BP)are newly identified m^(6)A‘readers’.They belong to a family of RNA-binding proteins,which bind to the m^(6)A sites on different RNA sequences and stabilize them to promote cancer *** this review,we summarize the mechanisms by which different upstream factors regulate IGF2BP in *** current literature analyzed here reveals that the IGF2BP family proteins promote cancer cell proliferation,survival,and chemoresistance,inhibit apoptosis,and are also associated with cancer glycolysis,angiogenesis,and the immune response in the tumor ***,with the discovery of their role as‘readers’of m^(6)A and the characteristic re-expression of IGF2BPs in cancers,it is important to elucidate their mechanism of action in the immunosuppressive tumor *** also describe in detail the regulatory and interaction network of the IGF2BP family in downstream target RNAs and discuss their potential clinical applications as diagnostic and prognostic markers,as well as recent advances in IGF2BP biology and associated therapeutic value.
