By adjusting the waveguide length ratio, we study the extraordinary characteristics of electromagnetic waves propagating in one-dimensional(1D) parity-time-symmetric(PT-symmetric) two-segment-connected triangular optical waveguide networks with perfect and broken integer waveguide length ratios respectively. It is found that the number and the corresponding frequencies of the extremum spontaneous PT-symmetric breaking points are dependent on the waveguide length ratio. Near the extremum breaking points, ultrastrong extraordinary transmissions are created and the maximal can arrive at, respectively, 2.4079 × 10^14 and 4.3555 × 10^13 in both kinds of networks. However, bidirectional invisibility can only be produced by the networks with broken integer waveguide length ratio, whose mechanism is explained in detail from the perspective of photonic band structure. The findings of this work can be useful optical characteristic control in the fabrication of PT-symmetric optical waveguide networks, which possesses great potential in designing optical amplifiers,optical energy saver devices, and special optical filters.

Bioresorbable electronics technology can potentially lead to revolutionary applications in healthcare, consumer electronics, and data security. This technology has been demonstrated by various functional devices. However, majority of these devices are realized by CMOS fabrication approaches involving complex and time-consuming processes that are high in cost and low in yield. Printing electronics technology represents a series of printing and post processing techniques that hold promise to make high performance bioresorbable electronics devices. But investigation of printing approaches for bioresorbable electronics is very limited. Here we demonstrate fabrication of conductive bioresorbable patterns using aerosol printing and photonic sintering approaches. Experimental results and simulation reveals that ink compositions, photonic energy, film thickness, and ventilation conditions may influence the effect of photonic sintering. A maximum conductivity of 22321.3 S/m can be achieved using 1 flash with energy of 25.88 J/cm~2 with duration of 2 ms. By combining two cascaded sintering procedures using flash light and laser further improve the conductivity to 34722.2 S/m. The results indicate that aerosol printing and photonic sintering can potentially yield mass fabrication of bioresorbable electronics, leading to prevalence of printable bioresorbable technology in consumer electronics and biomedical devices.

The construction of lateral p-n junctions is very important and challenging in two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor manufacturing *** researches have demonstrated that vertical p-n junction can be prepared simply by vertical stacking of 2D ***,interface pollution and large area scalability are challenges that are difficult to overcome with vertical stacking *** 2D lateral p-n homojunction is an effective strategy to address these *** selective p-type doping of 2D semiconductors is expected to construct lateral p-n *** this work,we have developed a low-energy ion implantation system that reduces the implanted energy to 300 ***-energy implantation can form a shallow implantation depth,which is more suitable for modulating the electrical and optical properties of 2D ***,we utilize low-energy ion implantation to directly dope nitrogen ions into few-layer WS_(2) and successfully realize a precise regulation for WS_(2) with its conductivity type transforming from n-type to bipolar or even p-type ***,the universality of this method is demonstrated by extending it to other 2D semiconductors,including WSe_(2),SnS_(2) and MoS_(2).Based on this method,a lateral WS_(2) p-n homojunction is fabricated,which exhibits significant rectification characteristics.A photodetector based on p-n junction with photovoltaic effect is also prepared,and the open circuit voltage can reach to 0.39 *** work provides an effective way for controllable doping of 2D semiconductors.

Identifying the real fracture of rock hidden in acoustic emission(AE)source clusters(AE-depicted microcrack zone)remains challenging and *** we revealed the AE energy(representing dissipated energy)distribution rule in the rock microcrack zone and proposed an AE-energy-based method for identifying the real fracture.(1)A set of fracture experiments were performed on granite using wedgeloading,and the fracture process was detected and recorded by *** microcrack zone associated with the energy dissipation was characterized by AE sources and energy distribution,utilizing our selfdeveloped AE analysis program(RockAE).(2)The accumulated AE energy,an index representing energy dissipation,across the AE-depicted microcrack zone followed the normal distribution model(the mean and variance relate to the real fracture path and the microcrack zone width).This result implies that the nucleation and coalescence of massive cracks(i.e.,real fracture generation process)are supposed to follow a normal distribution.(3)Then,we obtained the real fracture extension path by joining the peak positions of the AE energy normal distribution curve at different cross-sections of the microcrack ***,we distinguished between the microcrack zone and the concealed real fracture within *** deviation was validated as slight as 1–3 mm.

Motivated by the fast-developing spin dynamics in ferromagnetic/piezoelectric structures, this study attempts to manipulate magnons (spin-wave excitations) by the converse magnetoelectric (ME) coupling. Herein, electric field (E-field) tuning magnetism, especially the surface spin wave, is accomplished in Ni/0.7Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_(3)-0.3PbTiO_(3) (PMN-PT) multiferroic heterostructures. The Kerr signal (directly proportional to magnetization) changes of Ni film are observed when direct current (DC) or alternative current (AC) voltage is applied to PMN-PT substrate, where the signal can be modulated breezily even without extra magnetic field (H-field) in AC-mode measurement. Deserved to be mentioned, a surface spin wave switch of “1” (i.e., “on”) and “0” (i.e., “off”) has been created at room temperature upon applying an E-field. In addition, the magnetic anisotropy of heterostructures has been investigated by E-field-induced ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) shift, and a large 490 Oe shift of FMR is determined at the angle of 45° between H-field and heterostructure plane.

To accurately launch laser, a fast-steering mirror(FSM) with flexure hinge is designed. First, actuators, angle sensors and flexure hinge were designed or selected respectively according to requirements of vehicle track-launch system. Then, the servo control system with two closed loops was projected after fine manufacturing and assembling. Finally, the pointing precisions of FSM on the static and vibrancy platforms were tested. The results show that the designed FSM with pointing error range on the static platform is less than 0.9″, and less than 44.5″ on the vibrancy shaker, which can meet the requirements of vehicle track-launch system application.
