TabHLH27 orchestrates root growth and drought tolerance to enhance water use efficiency in wheat

Cultivating high-yield wheat under limited water resources is crucial for sustainable agriculture in semiarid *** water scarcity,plants activate drought response signaling,yet the delicate balance between drought tolerance and development remains *** genome-wide association studies and transcriptome profiling,we identified a wheat atypical basic helix-loop-helix(b HLH)transcription factor(TF),Tab HLH27-A1,as a promising quantitative trait locus candidate for both relative root dry weight and spikelet number per spike in *** HLH27-A1/B1/D1 knockout reduced wheat drought tolerance,yield,and water use efficiency(WUE).Tab HLH27-A1 exhibited rapid induction with polyethylene glycol(PEG)treatment,gradually declining over *** activated stress response genes such as Ta CBL8-B1 and Ta CPI2-A1 while inhibiting root growth genes like Ta SH15-B1 and Ta WRKY70-B1 under short-term PEG *** distinct transcriptional regulation of Tab HLH27-A1 involved diverse interacting factors such as Ta ABI3-D1 and Tab *** variations of Tab HLH27-A1influence its transcriptional responses to drought stress,with Tab HLH27-A1^(Hap-II)associated with stronger drought tolerance,larger root system,more spikelets,and higher WUE in ***,the excellent Tab HLH27-A1^(Hap-II)was selected during the breeding process in China,and introgression of Tab HLH27-A1^(Hap-II)allele improved drought tolerance and grain yield,especially under water-limited *** study highlights Tab HLH27-A1's role in balancing root growth and drought tolerance,providing a genetic manipulation locus for enhancing WUE in wheat.

以往对新媒体情境下品牌传播与沟通的研究,主要体现在单个品牌与消费者在线互动方面,而较少关注如何通过两个及以上品牌间的不同调侃形式来建构它们在网络上的自我形象。鉴于此,本文围绕调侃发起形式与粉丝性别身份间的匹配对主动调侃品牌评价的影响展开分析。通过三个实验设计,结果发现:在一对多(vs.一对一)品牌调侃中,男性身份消费者对主动发起调侃品牌的评价更高,支配地位感知起中介作用。在一对一(vs.一对多)品牌调侃中,女性身份消费者对主动发起调侃品牌的评价更高,平等地位感知起中介作用。研究结论不仅拉开了品牌调侃实证研究的序幕,对其相关理论也做出了有益补充,还为品牌调侃实践操作提供了相应建议和指导。

Alfalfa(Medicago sativa)is one of the most important forage crops in the world;however,its molecular genetics and breeding research are hindered due to the lack of a high-quality reference ***,we report a de novo assembled 816-Mb high-quality,chromosome-level haploid genome sequence for‘Zhongmu No.1’alfalfa,a heterozygous *** contig N50 is 3.92 Mb,and 49165 genes are annotated in the *** alfalfa genome is estimated to have diverged from *** approximately 8 million years *** population analysis of 162 alfalfa accessions revealed high genetic diversity,weak population structure,and extensive gene flow from wild to cultivated ***-wide association studies identified many candidate genes associated with important agronomic ***,we showed that MsFTa2,a Flowering Locus T homolog,whose expression is upregulated in salt-resistant germplasms,may be associated with fall dormancy and salt *** together,these genomic resources will facilitate alfalfa genetic research and agronomic improvement.

Tartary buckwheat （Fagopyrum tataricum） is an important pseudocereal crop that is strongly adapted to growth in adverse environments. Its gluten-free grain contains complete proteins with a well-balanced composition of essential amino acids and is a rich source of beneficial phytochemicals that provide significant health benefits. Here, we report a high-quality, chromosome-scale Tartary buckwheat genome sequence of- 489.3 Mb that is assembled by combining whole-genome shotgun sequencing of both Illumina short reads and single-molecule real-time long reads, sequence tags of a large DNA insert fosmid library, Hi-C sequencing data, and BioNano genome maps. We annotated 33 366 high-confidence protein-coding genes based on expression evidence. Comparisons of the intra-genome with the sugar beet genome revealed an independent whole-genome duplication that occurred in the buckwheat lineage after they diverged from the common ancestor, which was not shared with rosids or asterids. The reference genome facilitated the identification of many new genes predicted to be involved in rutin biosynthesis and regulation, aluminum stress resistance, and in drought and cold stress responses. Our data suggest that Tartary buckwheat＇s ability to tolerate high levels of abiotic stress is attributed to the expansion of several gene families involved in signal transduction, gene regulation, and membrane transport. The availability of these genomic resources will facilitate the discovery of agronomically and nutritionally important genes and genetic improvement of Tartary buckwheat.

Genotyping and phenotyping large natural populations provide opportunities for population genomic analysis and genome-wide association studies(GWAS). Several rice populations have been re-sequenced in the past decade;however, many major Chinese rice cultivars were not included in these studies. Here, we report large-scale genomic and phenotypic datasets for a collection mainly comprised of 1,275 rice accessions of widely planted cultivars and parental hybrid rice lines from China. The population was divided into three indica/Xian and three japonica/Geng phylogenetic subgroups that correlate strongly with their geographic or breeding origins. We acquired a total of 146 phenotypic datasets for 29 agronomic traits under multi-environments for different subpopulations. With GWAS, we identified a total of 143 significant association loci, including three newly identified candidate genes or alleles that control heading date or amylose content. Our genotypic analysis of agronomically important genes in the population revealed that many favorable alleles are underused in elite accessions, suggesting they may be used to provide improvements in future breeding efforts. Our study provides useful resources for rice genetics research and breeding.

Study on High-frequency Callus Induction From Aseptic Plantlets of Anthuium andraeanum

[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve the efficiency of callus induction and redifferentiation,and construct high-frequency plant regeneration techniques of tissue culture in Anthuium andraeanum.[Methods]The effects of different genotypes,explant types and hormonal conditions on callus induction and re-differentiation of *** were studied by using the aseptic *** test-tube plantlets as test materials.[Results]Among the four kinds of aseptic *** plantlets,the callus induction using stem segments with leaves was the best,followed by stem segments and leaves,and the petioles were the worst;among the six *** varieties tested,the callus production rates of four varieties reached 100%;and the callus differentiation rate reached 93.3%-100%through the organogenesis pathway,and the suitable differentiation medium was 1/2MS+ZT 0.5 mg/L+2,4-D 0.1 mg/L.[Conclusions]The research results provide a new experimental basis for optimizing the technical system of *** rapid propagation.
