Development and validation of a new prognostic model for patients with acute-on-chronic liver failure in intensive care unit

Genetic Analysis of Two Novel GPI Variants Disrupting H Bonds and Localization Characteristics of 55 Gene Variants Associated with Glucose-6-phosphate Isomerase Deficiency

Objective:Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase(GPI)deficiency is a rare hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia caused by GPI gene *** disorder exhibits wide heterogeneity in its clinical manifestations and molecular characteristics,often posing challenges for precise diagnoses using conventional *** this end,this study aimed to identify the novel variants responsible for GPI deficiency in a Chinese ***:The clinical manifestations of the patient were summarized and analyzed for GPI deficiency phenotype *** compound heterozygous variants of the GPI gene,c.174C>A(***58Lys)and c.1538G>T(***513Leu),were identified using whole-exome and Sanger *** AlphaFold program and Chimera software were used to analyze the effects of compound heterozygous variants on GPI ***:By characterizing 53 GPI missense/nonsense variants from previous literature and two novel missense variants identified in this study,we found that most variants were located in exons 3,4,12,and 18,with a few localized in exons 8,9,and *** study identified novel compound heterozygous variants associated with GPI *** pathogenic variants disrupt hydrogen bonds formed by highly conserved GPI amino ***:Early family-based sequencing analyses,especially for patients with congenital anemia,can help increase diagnostic accuracy for GPI deficiency,improve child healthcare,and enable genetic counseling.

A Power Data Anomaly Detection Model Based on Deep Learning with Adaptive Feature Fusion

With the popularisation of intelligent power,power devices have different shapes,numbers and *** means that the power data has distributional variability,the model learning process cannot achieve sufficient extraction of data features,which seriously affects the accuracy and performance of anomaly ***,this paper proposes a deep learning-based anomaly detection model for power data,which integrates a data alignment enhancement technique based on random sampling and an adaptive feature fusion method leveraging dimension *** at the distribution variability of power data,this paper developed a sliding window-based data adjustment method for this model,which solves the problem of high-dimensional feature noise and low-dimensional missing *** address the problem of insufficient feature fusion,an adaptive feature fusion method based on feature dimension reduction and dictionary learning is proposed to improve the anomaly data detection accuracy of the *** order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,we conducted effectiveness comparisons through elimination *** experimental results show that compared with the traditional anomaly detection methods,the method proposed in this paper not only has an advantage in model accuracy,but also reduces the amount of parameter calculation of the model in the process of feature matching and improves the detection speed.

Objective:Premature rupture of membranes(PROM)is a common pregnancy disorder that is closely associated with structural weakening of fetal *** have found that formyl peptide receptor 1(FPR1)activates inflammatory pathways and amniotic epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT),stimulates collagen degradation,and leads to membrane weakening and membrane *** purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-inflammatory and EMT inhibitory effects of FPR1 antagonist(BOC-MLF)to provide a basis for clinical prevention of ***:The relationship between PROM,FPR1,and EMT was analyzed in human fetal membrane tissue and plasma samples using Western blotting,PCR,Masson staining,and ELISA ***(LPS)was used to establish a fetal membrane inflammation model in pregnant rats,and BOC-MLF was used to treat the LPS rat *** detected interleukin(IL)-6 in blood from the rat hearts to determine whether the inflammatory model was successful and whether the anti-inflammatory treatment was *** used electron microscopy to analyze the structure and collagen expression of rat fetal ***:Western blotting,PCR and Masson staining indicated that the expression of FPR1 was significantly increased,the expression of collagen was decreased,and EMT appeared in *** rat model indicated that LPS caused the collapse of fetal membrane epithelial cells,increased intercellular gaps,and decreased ***-MLF promoted an increase in fetal membrane collagen,inhibited EMT,and reduced the weakening of fetal ***:The expression of FPR1 in the fetal membrane of PROM was significantly increased,and EMT of the amniotic membrane was ***-MLF can treat inflammation and inhibit amniotic EMT.

Antimony-based materials with high capacities and moderate potentials are promising anodes for lithium-/-sodium-ion ***,their tremendous volume expansion and inferior conductivity lead to poor structural stability and sluggish reaction ***,a doubleconfined nanoheterostructure Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@C has been fabricated through a solvothermal method followed by low-temperature heat *** dual protection of“MXene”and“carbon”can better accommodate the volume expansion of Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3).The strong covalent bond(Ti-S,Ti-O-Sb,C-O-Sb)can firmly integrate Sb-based material with Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and carbon,which significantly improves the structure *** addition,the carbon layer can restrain the oxidation of MXenes,and the nano-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)can facilitate electron/ion transport and suppress the restacking of *** heterogeneous interface between Sb and Sb_(2)S_(3)can further promote interfacial charge *** MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1 with the optimal Sb content shows high specific capacities,comparable rate properties and ultra-stable cycling performances(250 m Ah·g^(-1)after 2500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1)for sodium-ion batteries).Ex situ X-ray diffractometer(XRD)test reveals the storage mechanism including the conversion and alloying process of MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@*** voltammetry(CV)test results demonstrate that the pseudocapacitance behavior is dominant in MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1,especially at large *** design paves the way for exploring high-performance alloy-based/conversion-type anode for energy storage devices.

To the Editor:Air pollution can lead to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases(CVDs),and its impact on human health is very *** particles less than 0.1µm can pass through the blood brain barrier,reach the brain,and enter the central nervous system,causing physiological and pathological changes.A study shows that long-term exposure to fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))will increase the risk of CVDs among Chinese residents.^([1])Another study found that a short time exposure to low concentrations of air pollutants may also lead to the onset of acute coronary syndrome within one hour.^([2])A meta-analysis based on seven databases showed that environmental air pollution was positively correlated with elevated blood pressure and hypertension.^([3])Mounting evidence indicates that air pollution can cause cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and affect human health furtherly.

Highly adaptive triboelectric tactile sensor on the foot of autonomous wall-climbing robots for detecting the adhesion state and avoiding the hazard

Due to the excellent maneuverability and obstacle crossing of legged robots,it is possible for an autonomous legged wallclimbing robots to replace manual inspection of ship exterior ***,when the magnetic adsorption legged wallclimbing robot steps on the convex point or convex line of the wall,or even when the robot missteps,the robot is likely to detach from the ferromagnetic ***,this paper proposes a tactile sensor for the legged magnetic adsorption wall-climbing robot to detect the magnetic adsorption state and improve the safety of the autonomous crawling of the *** tactile sensor mainly comprises a three-dimensional(3D)-printed shell,a tactile slider,and three isometric sensing units,with an optimized *** experiment shows that the triboelectric tactile sensor can monitor the sliding depth of the tactile slider and control the light-emitting device(LED)signal *** addition,in the demonstration experiment of detecting the adsorption state of the robot's foot,the triboelectric tactile sensor has strong adaptability to various ferromagnetic wall ***,this study establishes a robot gait control system to verify the feedback control ability of the triboelectric tactile *** results show that the robot equipped with the triboelectric tactile sensor can recognize the dangerous area on the crawling wall and autonomously avoid the ***,the proposed triboelectric tactile sensor has great potential in realizing the tactile sensing ability of robots and enhancing the safety and intelligent inspection of ultra-large vessels.

Serum 25-Hydroxyvitamin D Level Might Be a Useful Indicator of Disease Severity in Obese Children With Atopic Dermatitis:A Case-Control Study

Objective:To assess the relationship between the severity of atopic dermatitis(AD)in children of varying weight categories and their serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D[25(OH)D]***:The study population comprised 899 patients with AD and 854 age-and sex-matched *** Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H tests were used to assess differences between groups,and Spearman correlation analysis was used to test ***:The 25(OH)D level in the AD group was M(Q_(25),Q_(75)),24.0(19.7,28.4)ng/mL,which was significantly lower than the control group(26.4[23.6,29.9]ng/mL;Z=-3.34,P=0.001).25(OH)D levels in children with AD were negatively correlated with body mass index(r=-0.30,P<0.001),Severity scoring of Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD;r=-0.14,P<0.001),total immunoglobulin E(r=-0.13,P<0.001),and eosinophil(r=-0.08,P=0.017).There were statistically significant differences in 25(OH)D(H=18.46,P<0.001),total immunoglobulin E(H=9.13,P=0.010),eosinophil(H=67.17,P<0.001),and SCORAD(H=10.49,P=0.005)among groups with different body mass index *** 25(OH)D levels were 22.3(17.5,27.1)ng/mL in the overweight AD group and 22.3(17.6,25.7)ng/mL in the obese AD group,which were significantly lower than those in the normal-weight AD group(24.7[20.4,25.5]ng/mL;P=0.003,P=0.004).25(OH)D levels were negatively correlated with SCORAD in obese AD patients(r=-0.25,P=0.010).Conclusion:Vitamin D insufficient or deficient is obvious in children AD *** 25(OH)D levels in the overweight/obese AD group are significantly lower than those in the normal-weight AD *** D level is negatively correlated with SCORAD in obese children with AD.

Gapless Genome Assembly of ZH8015 and Preliminary Multi-Omics Analysis to Investigate ZH8015's Responses Against Brown Planthopper Infestation

Accurate genomic information is essential for advancing genetic breeding research in specific rice *** study presented a gapless genome assembly of the indica rice cultivar Zhonghui 8015(ZH8015)using Pac Bio HiFi,Hi-C,and ONT(Oxford Nanopore Technologies)ultra-long sequencing technologies,annotating 43037 gene ***,utilizing this genome along with transcriptomic and metabolomic techniques,we explored ZH8015's response to brown planthopper(BPH)*** transcriptomic sampling indicated significant changes in gene expression levels around 48 h after BPH *** analysis revealed particularly significant alterations in genes related to reactive oxygen species scavenging and cell wall *** results demonstrated marked increases in levels of several monosaccharides,which are components of the cell wall and dramatic changes in flavonoid *** association analysis identified differentially expressed genes associated with key metabolites,shedding light on ZH8015's response to BPH *** summary,this study constructed a reliable genome sequence resource for ZH8015,and the preliminary multi-omics results will guide future insect-resistant breeding research.

Large-Area Gravure-Printed AgNWs Electrode on Water/Oxygen Barrier Substrate for Long-Term Stable Large-Area Flexible Organic Solar Cells

Large-area AgNWs electrodes(25 cm×10 cm)were fabricated through roll-to-roll printing on the polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)modified water and oxygen barrier *** modification of the barrier film with PVA improved the wettability of silver nanowires on the barrier films and led to the formation of homogenous large-area AgNWs *** mechanical flexibility,especially the adhesion force between the silver electrode and the barrier film substrate was dramatically improved through PVA *** efficiency of 13.51%for the flexible OSCs with an area of 0.64 cm2 was achieved based on the PET/barrier film/PVA/AgNWs *** long-term stability showed the flexible OSCs based on the PET/barrier film/PVA/AgNWs electrode have a significantly improved stability relative to the device on PET/AgNWs electrode,and comparable air stability as the rigid device with glass/ITO *** unencapsulated devices maintained nearly 50%of the original efficiency after storage for 600 h in *** a simple top encapsulation,the flexible devices remained at 60%of the initial efficiency after 2000 h in the ***,the flexible AgNWs electrode based on the barrier film would have the potential to improve the air storage stability of organic flexible solar cells.
