Investigation on the vortical structures by the liutex method in turbulent channels at Re_(τ)=180 with scalloped and triangular riblet control

Riblets are a series of small protrusions formed along the flow direction,which have been extensively studied as a passive turbulent drag reduction *** and numerical simulations have shown that well-designed riblets can significantly reduce drag in turbulent flows,making them highly promising and valuable for various *** this study,we focus on a scalloped riblet,which is designed by smoothly connecting two third-order polynomials,and thus the sharpness of the tip and the curvature of the valley can be well *** conduct direct numerical simulations of turbulent channel with smooth plate,scalloped riblet-mounted and triangular riblet-mounted *** in wall units of W^(+)=20 and height-width ratio ofγ=0.5 are selected for both riblet *** with the smooth plate case,the scalloped riblet case achieves an 8.68%drag reduction,while the triangular riblet case achieves a 4.79%drag *** obtained drag reduction rate of the triangular riblet is consistent with previous experiments and simulations,and the results indicate that the scalloped riblet is more effective in reducing drag and deserves further *** compare turbulent statistics of the scalloped riblet case with those of the triangular riblet *** mean velocity profiles of riblets are similar,but both the Reynolds shear stress and second-order statistics of velocity fluctuations and liutex are significantly reduced in the scalloped riblets controlled turbulent channel,indicating that the scalloped riblet can more effectively suppress the spanwise and wall-normal turbulent intensity near the *** also compare the pre-multiplied spectra of streamwise velocity and streamwise liutex component for the three cases to investigate the energy distribution and characteristics of liutex *** liutex vortex identification method is also utilized to analyze the instantaneous flow field,which provides insights into the flow field and could be bene

Emerging two-dimensional(2D)layered metal carbide and nitride materials,commonly termed MXenes,are increasingly recognized for their applications across diverse fields such as energy,environment,and *** the past few years,MXenes/carbon nanotubes(CNTs)-based hybrids have attracted extensive attention as an important catalyst in energy and environmental fields,due to their superior multifunctions and mechanical *** review aims to address the fabrication strategies,the identification of the enhancement mechanisms,and recent progress regarding the design and modification of MXenes/CNTs-based hybrids.A myriad of fabrication techniques have been systematically summarized,including mechanical mixing,spray drying,three-dimensional(3D)printing,self-assembly/in-situ growth,freeze drying,templating,hydrothermal methods,chemical vapor deposition(CVD),and ***,the identification of the enhancement mechanisms was thoroughly discussed from the two dimensions of theoretical simulations and in-situ ***,the recent advancements in profound applications of MXenes/CNTs-based hybrids have also been carefully revealed,including energy storage devices,sensors,water purification systems,and microwave *** also underscore anticipated challenges related to their fabrication,structure,underlying mechanisms,modification approaches,and emergent ***,this review offers insights into prospective directions and the future trajectory for these promising *** is expected that this review can inspire new ideas or provide new research methods for future studies.

Mobile telemedicine systems based on the next-generation communication will significantly enhance deep fusion of network automation and federated learning(FL), but data privacy is a paramount issue in sectors like healthcare. This work hence considers FL augments 5G-and-beyond networks by training deep learning(DL) models without the need to exchange raw data. The substantial communication loads imposed on by extensive parameters involved in DL models are managed through adaptive scheduling mechanisms effectively. To address the opaque nature of DL models and to improve the interpretability of FL models, we introduce a convolutional fuzzy rough neural network specifically designed for medical image processing. We also develop a multiobjective memetic evolutionary algorithm to streamline and optimize the neural network architectures. Our comprehensive FL framework integrates smart scheduling, interpretable fuzzy rough logic,and neuroevolution. This framework is shown to improve communication efficiency, increase interpretability of diagnosis with protected privacy, and generate low-complexity neural architectures.

Electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(e-NO_(3)RR)offers a promising alternative method for nitrogen cycling and ammonia(NH3)production under ambient ***,the method is still in the dilemma of lowering the reaction overpotential and increasing the reaction *** successfully developed the composition-adjustable Co_(6)Mo_(6)C/Co/N-doped carbon(NC)catalysts by in situ carbonization of Co-based metal-organic framework(MOF)with the constrained phosphomolybdic *** adjusting the ratio of Co0 and Co_(6)Mo_(6)C,Co_(6)Mo_(6)C/Co/NC-3 could satisfy both NO_(3)−conversion at low potential and NH_(x)hydrogenation,and synthesize ammonia efficiently through the synergistic effect of Co0 and Co_(6)Mo_(6)*** achieved an ammonia yield rate as 1233.2μg·h^(−1)·mgcat^(−1)and Faradaic efficiency of NH4+93.6%at−0.33 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE).Importantly,density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental results have demonstrated for the first time the excellent adsorption of nitrite(NO_(2)^(−))by the Mo sites of Co_(6)Mo_(6)C during e-NO_(3)RR,avoiding the undesirable accumulation of NO_(2)^(−).

This paper is concerned with the optimal threshold selection and resource allocation problems of quantized identification, whose aims are improving identification efficiency under limited resources. Firstly, the first-order asymptotically optimal quantized identification theory is extended to the weak persistent excitation condition. Secondly, the characteristics of time and space complexities are established based on the Cramér-Rao lower bound of quantized systems. On these basis, the optimal selection methods of fixed thresholds and adaptive thresholds are established under aperiodic signals, which answer how to achieve the best efficiency of quantized identification under the same time and space complexity. In addition, based on the principle of maximizing the identification efficiency under a given resource, the optimal resource allocation methods of quantized identification are given for the cases of fixed thresholds and adaptive thresholds, respectively, which show how to balance time and space complexity to realize the best identification efficiency of quantized identification.
