The extraction of lithium from salt lake brine in the Chinese Qaidam Basin is challenging due to its high Mg/Li and Na/Li ratios. Herein, we utilized a reaction-coupled separation technology to separate sodium and lithium ions from a high Na/Li ratio brine(Na/Li = 48.7, w/w) and extracted lithium with Li Al-layered double hydroxides(Li Al-LDHs). The Li Al-LDHs act as lithium-ion-selective capturing materials from multication brines. That is, the lithium ions selectively enter the solid phase to form Li Al-LDHs, and the sodium ions are still retained in the liquid phase. This is because the lithium ions can be incorporated into the structural vacancies of LiAl-LDHs, whereas the sodium ions cannot. The effects of reaction conditions on lithium loss and separation efficiency were investigated at both the nucleation and the crystallization stage, e.g., the nucleation rotating speed, the Li/Al molar ratio, the crystallization temperature and time, and co-existing cations. The lithium loss is as low as 3.93% under optimal separation *** sodium ions remained in the solution. Consequently, an excellent Na/Li separation efficiency was achieved by this reaction-coupled separation technology. These findings confirm that LiAl-LDHs play a critical function in selectively capturing lithium ions from brines with a high Na/Li ratio, which is useful for the extraction of lithium ions from the abundant salt lake brine resources in China.

To survive under cold temperatures plants must be able to perceive a cold signal and transduce it into downstream components that induce appropriate defense mechanisms. In addition to inducing adaptive defenses, such as the production of osmotic factors to prevent freezing and the reprogramming of transcriptional pathways, cold temperatures induce changes in plant growth and development which can affect the plant life cycle. In this review, we summarize recent progress in characterizing cold-related genes and the pathways that allow transduction of the cold signal in plants, focusing primarily on studies in Arabidopsis tbaliana and rice （Oryza sativa）. We summarize cold perception and signal transduction from the plasma membrane to the nucleus, which involves cold sensors, calcium signals, calciumbinding proteins, mitogen-activated protein kinase cascades, and the C-repeat binding factor/dehydrationresponsive element binding pathways, as well as trehalose metabolism. Finally, we describe the balance between plant organogenesis and cold tolerance mechanisms in rice. This review encapsulates the known cold signaling factors in plants and provides perspectives for ongoing cold signaling research.

In order to evaluate the impact of reclaimed water on the ecology of bacterial communities in the Typha angustifolia L. rhizosphere soil, bacterial community structure was investigated using a combination of terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism and 16S rRNA gene clone library. The results revealed significant spatial variation of bacterial communities along the river from upstream and downstream. For example, a higher relative abundance of γ-Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, Chloroflexi and a lower proportion of β-Proteobacteria and ε-Proteobacteria was detected at the downstream site compared to the upstream site. Additionally, with an increase of the reclaimed water interference intensity, the rhizosphere bacterial community showed a decrease in taxon richness, evenness and diversity. The relative abundance of bacteria closely related to the resistant of heavy-metal was markedly increased, while the bacteria related for carbon/nitrogen/phosphorus/sulfur cycling wasn＇t strikingly changed. Besides that, the pathogenic bacteria markedly increased in the downstream rhizosphere soil since reclaimed water supplement, while the possible plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria obviously reduced in the downstream sediment. Together these data suggest cause and effect between reclaimed water input into the wetland, shift in bacterial communities through habitat change, and alteration of capacity for biogeochemical cycling of contaminants.

The eastern Tibetan plateau has been getting more and more attention because it combines active faults,uplifting, and large earthquakes together in a high-population region. Based on the previous researches, the most of Cenozoic tectonic activities were related to the regional structure of the local blocks within the crustal scale. Thus,a better understanding of the crustal structure of the regional tectonic blocks is an important topic for further study. In this paper, we combined the simple Bouguer gravity anomaly with the Moho depths from previous studies to investigate the crustal structure in this area. To highlight the crustal structures, the gravity anomaly caused by the Moho relief has been reduced by forward modeling calculations. A total horizontal derivative（THD） had been applied on the gravity residuals. The results indicated that the crustal gravity residual is compatible with the topography and the geological settings of the regional blocks,including the Sichuan basin, the Chuxiong basin, the Xiaojiang fault, and the Jinhe fault, as well as the Longmenshan fault zone. The THD emphasized the west margin of Yangtze block, i.e., the Longriba fault zone and the Xiaojiang fault cut through the Yangtze block. The checkboard pattern of the gravity residual in the SongpanGarze fold belt and Chuandian fragment shows that the crust is undergoing a southward and SE-directed extrusion,which is coincident with the flowing direction indicatedfrom the GPS measurements. By integrating the interpretations, the stepwise extensional mechanism of the eastern Tibetan plateau is supported by the southeastward crustal deformation, and the extrusion of Chuandian fragment is achieved by Xianshuihe fault.

Bleachers play a crucial role in practical engineering applications, and any damage incurred during their operationposes a significant threat to the safety of both life and property. Consequently, it becomes imperative to conductdamage diagnosis and health monitoring of bleachers. The intricate structure of bleachers, the varied types ofpotential damage, and the presence of similar vibration data in adjacent locations make it challenging to achievesatisfactory diagnosis accuracy through traditional time-frequency analysis methods. Furthermore, field environmentalnoise can adversely impact the accuracy of bleacher damage diagnosis. To enhance the accuracy and antinoisecapabilities of bleacher damage diagnosis, this paper proposes improvements to the existing ConvolutionalNeural Network with Training Interference (TICNN). The result is an advanced Convolutional Neural Networkmodel with superior accuracy and robust anti-noise capabilities, referred to as Enhanced TICNN (ETICNN).ETICNN autonomously extracts optimal damage-sensitive features from the original vibration data. To validatethe superiority of the proposed ETICNN, experiments are conducted using the bleacher model from Qatar Universityas the subject. Comparative studies under identical experimental conditions involve TICNN, Deep ConvolutionalNeural Networks with wide first-layer kernels (WDCNN), and One-Dimensional ConvolutionalNeural Network (1DCNN). The experimental findings demonstrate that the ETICNN model achieves the highestaccuracy, approximately 99%, and exhibits robust classification abilities in both Phases I and II of the damagediagnosis experiments. Simultaneously, the ETICNN model demonstrates strong anti-noise capabilities, outperformingTICNN by 3% to 4% and surpassing other models in performance.

Four new phenolic glycosides,including two flavonoid glycosides(1 and 2) and two lignan glycosides(3 and 4),were isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine formula,Baoyuan *** structures were established by detailed analysis of the NMR and HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic data and their absolute configurations were determined by the experimental electronic circular dichroism data as well as chemical ***,the sources of the four new compounds were determined by the UPLC-Qtrap-MS method,which proved that 1 and 2 are originated from Glycyrrhiza uralensis,and 3 and4 are from Cinnamomum cassia.

Electronic modulation on the inert basal plane of transition-metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)through vacancy defect excitation,although extremely challenging,is urgent for understanding the factors that impact the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalytic ***,ultrathin WS2 nanosheets with precise quantitative single atomic S-vacancy on the inert basal plane were flexible prepared through hydrogen peroxide etching *** as-synthesized single atomic S-vacancy defect WS2(SVD-WS2)nanoflake with the activated basal plane exhibited an impressive overpotential of 137 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 53.9 mV dec^(-1).Furthermore,anchoring on the defect graphene matrix,the assembled two-dimensional(2D)stacking heterojunction exhibits further enhanced HER catalytic activity(an overpotential of 108 mV vs.10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 48.3 mV·dec^(-1))and stability(〜10%decline after 9,000 cycles),which attributed to the electronic structure modulation from the synergetic interactions between SVD-WS_(2) and defect *** finding provides a smart defects introduce strategy to trigger high-efficiency hydrogen evolution over WS_(2) nanosheets and a general 2D heterojunctions fabricated inspiration based on strong interaction interface.

With ageing and pathological factors,dentine exposure becomes more and more commonplace in the *** mechanical properties of dentine are far less than those of *** exposed,dentine exhibits a weak wear-resistance and then results in many oral ***,it is necessary to study effective measures to improve the wearresistance of *** this study,the effect of remineralisation on the mechanical properties and tribological behaviour of human dentine was studied in vitro using nano-indentation/scratch *** treatment was conducted by immersing dentine specimens in casein phosphopeptides-amorphous calcium phosphate-asparagine-serine-serine solution for 7 days after 24 h pre-treatment in polydopamine *** show that after the remineralisation treatment,dentine surface is covered with a layer of dense hydroxyapatite(HA)crystals with high crystallinity and preferential orientation,and dentinal tubules are *** hardness and elastic modulus of dentine increase by 35 and 78%,respectively,and the wear volume decreases by 86%.The crystals that occlude the dentine tubules do not fall off on the worn *** sum,remineralisation enhances the mechanical properties and anti-wear performance of dentine surface by forming a hard covering consisting of dense HA crystals,which is a potential measure to prevent excessive tooth wear by dentine exposure.

The problem of disturbance attenuation and rejection for discrete systems with unknown nonlinear and missing measurement is studied in this ***,two types of disturbance are *** of them is matched unknown disturbance generated by an exogenous systems,the other belongs to norm-bounded *** matched unknown disturbance is estimated by disturbance observer(DOB),and it is compensated by the composited *** norm-bounded disturbance is attenuation under the condition of H *** matched unknown disturbance and state are estimated separately based on missing measurement which is described by a binary switching *** augmented systems,which consist of result closed-loop systems and error dynamic of disturbance are exponentially mean-square stable for zeros additional disturbance,and the systems also satisfy prescribed H performance requirement.A sufficient condition is derived to find DOB gain matrix,controller gain matrix in terms of Lyapunov approach.A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of proposed method.

The Songliao basin is a complex successor basin that was initiated in the Mesozoic and experienced multiple periods of reactivation. Based on seismic and drilling data, as well as regional geologic research, we suggest that the Songliao basin contains several different successor basins resting on top of Carboniferous-Permian folded strata forming the basement to the Songliao basin. These basins include the Triassic-Mid Jurassic Paleo-foreland basin, the Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous downfaulted basin, and an early Cretaceous depressed basin （since the Denglouku Group）. This paper presents a systematic study of the basin-mountain interactions, and reveals that there are different types of prototype basin at different geologic times. These prototype basins sequentially superimposed and formed the large Songliao basin. Discovery of the Triassic-early Middle Jurassic paleo-foreland basin fills a Triassic-early Middle Jurassic gap in the geologic history of the Songliao basin. The paleo- foreland basin, downfaulted basin, and depressed thermal subsidence basin all together represent the whole Mesozoic-Cenozoic geologic history and deformation of the Songliao basin. Discovery of the Triassic-early Middle Jurassic paleo-foreland basin plays an important role both for deep natural gas exploration and the study of basin-mountain coupling in north China and eastern China in general. This example gives dramatic evidence that we should give much more attention to the polyphase tectonic evolution of related basins for the next phase of exploration and study.
