Partition-coordinated control of soil and water loss for chestnut forests in the Yanshan Mountain Region, China

Soil erosion from chestnut forests is one of the most important factors causing land degradation in the Yanshan Mountain Region. A 2-year field study was done to compare the effects on erosion of a control plot(CP), a repaired and maintained horizontal ditch built with an engineering baffle every 6 m(MP 1),and a repaired and maintained horizontal ditch built with an engineering baffle every 8 m(MP 2). The results showed that the slope runoff of chestnut forests was influenced by rainfall characteristic *** single rainfall characteristic factor showed dominance for hill slope runoff. The runoff reduction effect of the partition-coordinated erosion control measures(MP 1 and MP 2) was substantial for chestnut forests under high rainfall intensity conditions. However, the runoff reduction efficiency was higher under the conditions of heavy rainfall and low average rainfall intensity than for storms with higher intensity and lower total rainfall. The reduction effect of the partition-coordinated erosion control measures on the runoff and sediment yield of chestnut forest slopes was MP 2 > MP 1 > CP. The runoff reduction rate and erosion reduction rate of MP 2 reached 61.70% and 97.41%, respectively, and that for MP 1 was 54.15% and 85.31%, respectively. Therefore, after a comprehensive comparison, MP 2 was determined to be more effective for soil erosion control for a sloping chestnut forest.

A spatial orthogonal allocation method is devised for multirobot tasks allocation.A 3D space model is adopted to describe exploration mission;meanwhile spatial orthogonal tentative technology is utilized to update the attractor position for load *** interactive cultural hybrid architecture is proposed to solve a robot route planning problem;it utilizes good-point-set to initialize population spaces,redefine novel evolution model and particle evolution ability,and introduce near-neighbor local search strategy in order to enhance search ***,spatial orthogonal allocation and heterogeneous cultural hybrid algorithm (SOAHCHA) are verified by simulation analysis and MORCS2 planning experiments;those results show that the proposed algorithm is efficient because of its successful performance and balanced allocation.

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi in Wetland Habitats and Their Application in Constructed Wetland: A Review

Over the last three decades, the presence and functional roles of arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM) fungi in wetland habitats have received increasing attention. This review summarized the mycorrhizal status in wetlands and the effect of flooding on AM fungal colonization. Plants of 99 families living in 31 different habitats have been found to be associated with AM fungi, even including submerged aquatic plants and several plant species that were thought to be nonmycorrhizal(Cyperaceae, Chenopodiaceae, and Plumbaginaceae). The functions of AM fungi in wetland ecological systems could be concluded as their influences on the composition,succession, and diversity of the wetland plant community, and the growth and nutrition of wetland plants. Affecting the composition,succession, and diversity of the wetland plant community, AM fungi have positive, negative, or neutral effects on the performance of different wetland species under different conditions. The factors that affect the application effect of AM fungi in constructed wetland(CW) include flooding, phosphorus, plant species, aerenchyma, salinity, CW types, operation modes of CW, and wastewater *** generalist AM fungi strains can be established spontaneously, rapidly, and extensively in wastewater bioremediation technical installations; therefore, AM fungi can be considered ideal inhabitants of technical installations for the plant-based bioremediation of groundwater contaminated by organic pollutants or other contaminants. In the future, roles of AM fungi and factors that affect the purifying capacity of AM-CW system must be understood to optimize CW ecosystem.

Dispersion of double-slot in optical microring resonators buffer

In the optical packet switching network, optical buffer is an important device. Microring resonator optical buffers provide good delay performance and flexibility in design. By cascading multiple microring resonators, higher delay-bandwidth product is obtained, but the requirements of high integration and low dispersion are hard to satisfy simultaneously. Double-slot waveguide was proposed to construct highly integrated racetrack microring resonators in this study. Based on dispersion analysis of the thickness of each layer of a waveguide, the structure ofwaveguide was optimized to reach flat and low dispersion. Average dispersions of straight and 3 μm bend waveguides were 5.1 ps/（nm·km） and 4.4 ps/（nm· km）, respectively. Besides, the additional loss from coupling was greatly reduced when applying proper relative displacement between straight and bend waveguides. Theoretical and design basis provided in this paper will help to develop multi-microring optical buffers in the future.

Influence of complex topography on global solar radiation in the Yangtze River Basin

Global solar radiation（GSR） is the most direct source and form of global energy, and calculation of its quantity is highly complex due to influences of local topography and terrain inter-shielding. Digital elevation model（DEM） data as a representation of the complex terrain and multiplicity condition produces a series of topographic factors（e.g. slope, aspect, etc.）. Based on 1 km resolution DEM data, meteorological observations and NOAA-AVHRR remote sensing data, a distributed model for the calculation of GSR over rugged terrain within the Yangtze River Basin has been developed. The overarching model permits calculation of astronomical solar radiation for rugged topography and comprises a distributed direct solar radiation model, a distributed diffuse radiation model and a distributed terrain reflectance radiation model. Using the developed model, a quantitative simulation of the GSR space distribution and visualization has been undertaken, with results subsequently analyzed with respect to locality and terrain. Analyses suggest that GSR magnitude is seasonally affected, while the degree of influence was found to increase in concurrence with increasing altitude. Moreover, GSR magnitude exhibited clear spatial variation with respect to the dominant local aspect; GSR values associated with the sunny southern slopes were significantly greater than those associated with shaded slopes. Error analysis indicates a mean absolute error of 12.983 MJm-2 and a mean relative error of 3.608%, while the results based on a site authentication procedure display an absolute error of 22.621 MJm-2 and a relative error of 4.626%.

Metabolite acetyl-L-carnitine participates in Bifidobacterium animalis F1-7 to ameliorate atherosclerotic inflammation by downregulating theTLR4/NF-κB pathway

This study aimed to explore the effect of Bifidobacterium animalis F1-7 on the improvement of atherosclerotic *** model ApoE^(-/-)mice were orally administered with *** F1-7 for 12 *** probiotic intervention reduced the plaque areas in aorta and the accumulation of macrophages,and downregulated the expression of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)pathway to reduce the levels of inflammatory *** widely-targeted metabolomics analysis showed that acetyl-L-carnitine(ALC)in the intestine of atherosclerotic mice was significantly increased after *** F1-7 *** analysis proved that ALC was associated with atherosclerotic inflammatory *** using oxidized low density lipoprotein induced macrophage foam cells,we further verified that ALC could reduce lipid accumulation and inflammatory response in foam cells by downregulating the TLR4/NF-κB ***,our results revealed that *** F1-7 upregulated the metabolite ALC to downregulate the inflammatory responses,leading to the reduction of plaque accumulation of atherosclerosis.

Endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress occurs when ER homeostasis is perturbed with accumulation of unfolded/misfolded protein or calcium *** unfolded protein response(UPR),comprising of inositol-requiring enzyme 1 a(IRE1 a),double-stranded RNA-dependent protein kinase(PKR)-like ER kinase(PERK)and activating transcription factor 6(ATF6)signaling pathways,is a protective cellular response activated by ER ***,UPR activation can also induce cell death upon persistent ER *** liver is susceptible to ER stress given its synthetic and other biological *** studies from human liver samples and animal disease models have indicated a crucial role of ER stress and the UPR signaling pathways in the pathogenesis of liver diseases,including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),alcoholic liver disease(ALD),alpha-1 antitrypsin(AAT)deficiency(AATD),cholestatic liver disease,drug-induced liver injury,ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)injury,viral hepatitis and hepatocel-lular carcinoma(HCC).Extensive investigations have demonstrated the potential underlying mechanisms of the induction of ER stress and the contribution of the UPR pathways during the development of the ***,ER stress and the UPR proteins and genes have become emerging therapeutic targets to treat liver diseases.

Predictive modeling in sediment transportation across multiple spatial scales in the Jialing River Basin of China

This research models soil erosion and sediment transportation in the Jialing River Basin based on the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation(RUSLE) with Geographic Information System(G1S) *** have shown that,the improved method based on the RUSLE model was effective in calculating and predicting the annual sediment transport rate in Jialing River Basin in consideration of the hydrological conditions causing the annual variability of soil loss and the changes in the underlying surface resulting from land management *** the observed and simulated sediment loads in the period of 1989 and 1998,the simulation values showed a consistent trend with the observed values,and the relative errors were controlled at 20%or *** shows that the model can be used to identify hotspot watersheds with different degree of sediment yield and help to make corresponding land use planning and soil and water conservation strategy,and thus help to reduce soil erosion in areas surrounding the Three Gorges Project and other reservoirs in other rivers.

Due to the easily controllable interlayer anions, metal cation composition proportion and thickness, which is beneficial to modify surface chemical state and tune bandgap, layered double hydroxides(LDHs) have great promising potential for photocatalytic applications. In this study,we have successfully synthesized the ZnAl–LDH intercalated the single anion between ZnAl cationic interlayer without anionic impurities by using a facile calcining and reconstructing routes. The electron structure and surface chemical state of the prepared products have been investigated by combining the DFT calculation and experimental characterization methods. UV–vis DRS was used to certify the light absorption of the prepared products, and we performed the DFT calculation to demonstrate the density of state and activation of reactant. These results suggested that the ZnAl–LDH–CO3 possessed the more proper band structure and superior ability to activate NO and O2 for accelerating the photocatalytic NO oxidation activity. Moreover, the in situ DRIFTS with dynamically monitoring intermediates and products over the ZnAl–LDH–CO3 was adopted to declare the photocatalytic NO oxidized process during the photocatalytic reaction process. This work illustrated the influence of different interlayer anions to the electron structure and surface chemical state of ZnAl–LDH structure through the experimental verification combined DFT calculation and the photocatalytic NO oxidized process via in situ DRIFTS analyzing, which would provide a novel way to design and fabricate the efficient photocatalysis, and understand the reaction process.

关节炎是发生于关节及关节周围组织的慢性炎症性疾病,为一种常见病,严重影响患者生活质量。目前关节炎的治疗主要通过药物、物理、手术等手段缓解患者症状,改善患者的关节功能。治疗关节炎的药物主要为非甾体抗炎药,但此类药物有一定的不良反应,影响长期使用。姜黄素具有降血脂、抗炎、抗氧化、镇痛、抗肿瘤等作用,大量药理研究表明,姜黄素在治疗关节炎方面具有极大潜力。但姜黄素存在水溶性差、稳定性差、生物利用度低等缺点,严重限制了其治疗关节炎的疗效和临床应用。研究表明,纳米制剂可有效解决以上问题,大大提高姜黄素的疗效。本研究从姜黄素治疗关节炎的作用机制、姜黄素生物利用度、姜黄素纳米制剂治疗关节炎等方面,对姜黄素、姜黄素纳米制剂治疗关节炎的最新研究进行综述,以期为姜黄素及其纳米制剂治疗关节炎,以及其他中药材的进一步开发提供借鉴。
