Integrated geophysical technology is a necessary and effective means for geothermal ***,integration of geophysical technology for large‐scale surveys with those for geothermal reservoir localization is still in *** study used the controlled source audio‐frequency magnetotelluric method technology for large‐scale exploration to obtain underground electrical structure information and micromotion detection technology to obtain underground wave velocity structure *** combination of two detection technologies was used for local identification of geothermal ***,auxiliary correction and inversion constraint were implemented through the audio magnetotelluric sounding technology for maximum authenticity restoration of the near‐and transition‐field *** these technology improvements,a geothermal geological model was established for the Binhai County of Jiangsu Province in China and potential geothermal well locations were *** this basis,a geothermal well was drilled nearly 3000m deep,with a daily water volume of over 2000m3/day and a geothermal water temperature of 51°C at the well *** is found that predictions using the above integrated geophysical exploration technology are in good agreement with the well geological formation *** integrated geophysical technology can be effectively applied for geothermal exploration with high precision and reliability.

Resource recycling from waste-water and sludge is an important part of the 14th Five-Year Plan in *** emerging titanium-based coagulants have drawn growing attentions due to their strong coagulation capability in water purification and value-added Ti-loaded sludge *** and recovery of the high value-added sludge into functional nanomaterials is highly significant for both sludge reduction and environmental *** present study was carried out to investigate the recycle of the coagulated Ti-loaded sludge to produce functional C/TiO_(2)composites as the anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).It is the first time that the application of the Ti-loaded wastewater sludge derived C/TiO_(2)was evaluated for *** experimental results showed that the carbon coating through in-situ carbonization of the sludge produced the C/TiO_(2)composites with a high specific surface area,stable structural integrity,and excellent electrochemical properties that would facilitate Li+diffusion in long-term LIBs *** C/TiO_(2)composites calcinated from the polytitanium sulfate-coagulated sludge at 800℃(N_(2))exhibited the best electrochemical performance during the cycling tests(601 m Ah/g at 100 m A/g after 200 cycles).The research work demonstrates the promising prospect of the recycle and value-added utilization of the Ti-loaded sludge in the production of high-performance C/TiO_(2)composites for energy storage *** study provides a new way for the management and reuse of Ti-loaded waste-sludge.

Marginalization and abandonment of paddy terraces are widespread,but their effects on the sustainability of subsequent agricultural production are still *** Paddy Terraces,included in Globally Important Agriculture Heritage Systems,are threatened by paddy fields ***,changes in terrace structure,the productivity of topsoil(0-20 cm),and soil water holding capacity at 0-70 cm depth were determined in a case study of Hani Paddy Terraces in Amengkong River Basin in Yuanyang County in Southwestern China,which had been converted into dryland terraces for 2-14 *** results showed that:(1)The degree of terrace structures degradation exhibited a U-shaped curve with increasing time since draining,with those drained for 5-9 years having the best structure;(2)soil productivity index decreased first and then increased with time after conversion;(3)Maximum water holding capacity at 0-70 cm soil depth dramatically decreased after conversion and such trend became increasingly obvious with increasing time since *** study revealed that drainage of paddy terraces along with associated changes in crop and field management led to an increase in soil productivity,but degradation of terrace structures and a decrease in water holding capacity will inhibit restoration to paddy *** findings enhance the understanding of the biophysical changes due to marginalization in paddy terraces.

With the development of agricultural technology to meet the growing demands of a rapidly increasing population and economic development,intensive agriculture practices have been widely adopted globally. However,this intensification has resulted in adverse consequences for soil structure due to intensified farming activities and increased usage of heavy farm *** particular concern is soil compaction, which leads to the degradation of physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. soil compaction negatively impacts crop growth, reduces yields and poses a significant threat to food security and the overall sustainability of agricultural *** these challenges, this review aims to deepen understanding of the factors contributing to soil compaction and to develop effective mitigation strategies. By doing so, it is intended to attenuate the adverse impacts of soil compaction, improve soil structure, increase crop yield and ultimately enhance the sustainability of agricultural practices.

Trace elements in atmospheric particulate matter play a significant role in air quality,human health,and biogeochemical *** this study,the trace elements(Ca,Al,K,Fe,Na,Mg,Zn,Pb,Mn,Ti,Cu,Cr,Sr,Ni)in PM2.5samples collected at the summit of *** were analyzed to quantify their abundance,source,transport,and health *** the whole sampling period,the major trace elements was Ca,Al,and *** the trace metals with the lowest concentrations were Sr,Ni,Rb,and *** trace elements were influenced by air mass transport routes,exhibiting an increasing trend of crustal elements in the northwesterly airmass and anthropogenic elements(Zn,Mn,Cu,and Ni)in the easterly air *** dust,coal+biomass burning,vehicle emission,urban nitrate-rich+urban waste incineration emissions,and soil dust+industry emissions were common sources of PM2.5on *** air mass transport routes had various source contribution *** results indicate that trace elements at *** are influenced by regional anthropogenic emissions and monsoon-dominated trace element *** total resulting cancer risk value that these elements posed were below the acceptable risk value of 1×10^(-6),while the non-carcinogenic risk value(1.72)was higher than the safety level,suggesting that non-carcinogenic effects due to these trace elements inhalation were likely to *** emission and coal+biomass burning were the common dominant sources of non-cancer risks posed by trace elements at ***.

This is a bief analysis of the natural conditions of the the grassland resources in China, thespecial features of sylvo—pastoral systems, and the prospects for the development of both. The feed valueof woody plants, and the state of their utilization for sylvo—pastoral systems is specified in the present productionalmodel in China. The discussion is mainly concerned with the characteristics and significance ofshrub forest for forage. This paper stresses the all —round development of agriculture, forestry and animalhusbandry, and discusses the concrete forms of sylvo — pastoral systems including utilization of branchesand leaves, grazing and grass sowing in forestland, development of shrub forests for forage and cultivationof arbor—tree species in the form of shrub.

The actively heated fiber-optic(AHFO)technology has become emerged as a research focus due to its advantages of distributed,real-time measurement and good *** attributes have led to the gradual application of AHFO technology to the water content measurement of in situ ***,all existing in situ applications of AHFO technology fail to consider the effect of soilesensor contact quality on water content measurements,limiting potential for the wider application of AHFO *** address this issue,the authors propose a method for determining the soilesensor thermal contact resistance based on the principle of an infinite cylindrical heat *** is then used to establish an AHFO water content measurement technology that considers the thermal contact *** reliability and validity of the new measurement technology are explored through a laboratory test and a field case study,and the spatial-temporal evolution of the soil water content in the case is *** results demonstrate that method for determining the soilesensor thermal contact resistance is highly effective and applicable to all types of *** method requires only the moisture content,dry density,and thermal response of the in situ soil to be *** the field case,the measurement error of soil water content between the AHFO method,which takes into account the thermal contact resistance,and the neutron scattering method is only *** water content of in situ soil exhibits a seasonal variation,with an increase in spring and autumn and a decrease in summer and ***,the response of shallow soils to precipitation and evaporation is *** findings contribute to the enhancement of the accuracy of the AHFO technology in the measurement of the water content of in situ soils,thereby facilitating the dissemination and utilization of this technology.

Additives could improve composting performance and reduce gaseous emission,but few studies have explored the synergistic of additives on H_(2)S emission and compost *** research aims to make an investigation about the effects of chemical additives and mature compost on H_(2)S emission and compost maturity of kitchen waste *** results showed that additives increased the germination index value and H_(2)S emission reduction over 15 days and the treatment with both chemical additives and mature compost achieved highest germination index value and H_(2)S emission reduction(85%).Except for the treatment with only chemical additives,the total sulfur content increased during the kitchen waste *** proportion of effective sulfur was higher with the addition of chemical additives,compared with other *** relative abundance of H_(2)S-formation bacterial(Desulfovibrio)was reduced and the relative abundance of bacterial(Pseudomonas and Paracoccus),which could convert sulfur-containing substances and H_(2)S to sulfate was improved with *** the composting process with both chemical additives and mature compost,the relative abundance of Desulfovibrio was lowest,while the relative abundance of Pseudomonas and Paracoccus was *** together,the chemical additives and mature compost achieved H_(2)S emission reduction by regulating the dynamics of microbial community.

Vegetation canopies intercept and redistribute rainfall into throughfall and stemflow,which transfer substantial amounts of elements into the soil,influencing soil microbial community,plant survival,and plant community *** advancements in ecohydrological research,the implication of nutrient enrichment resulting from this redistribution of rainfall by canopies remains largely *** address this gap,we conducted a systematic review of 1020 papers published between 2000 and 2022,gathering data on nutrient concentration and enrichment for critical ions(including K^(+),Na^(+),Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),NH_(4)^(+),Cl^(-),NO_(3)^(-)and SO_(4)^(2-))from the Web of Science and Chinese Knowledge Infrastructure *** aimed to synthesize the mechanisms,quantify the enrichments,and identify global patterns of nutrient enrichment in stemflow and throughfall across climate zones,and vegetation types and *** results of this study indicate that stemflow exhibits,on average,2.1times greater ion concentration(6.13 mg L^(-1))compared to *** particular,among the investigated ions,SO_(4)^(2-)(12.45and 6.32 mg L^(-1))for stemflow and throughfall,respectively,and Cl^(-)(9.21 and 4.81 mg L^(-1))exhibit the highest concentrations in both rainfall redistribution components,while K^(+)(13.7 and 5.8)and Mg^(2+)(5.6 and 2.8)have the highest enrichment *** climate zones,throughfall and stemflow show the lowest ion concentrations but the highest enrichment factors in extremely humid *** the temperature gradient,ion concentrations are the highest in cold climates with no clear patterns observed for enrichment factors with increasing *** addition,shrubs,conifers,mixed forests,and artificial ecosystems demonstrate enrichment factors 1.1 to 3.0 times greater than those of trees,broad-leaved plants,pure forests,and natural *** findings emphasize the need for increased attentions to artificial ecosystems,such as urban
