Enhancing capacitive deionization performance and cyclic stability of nitrogen-doped activated carbon by the electro-oxidation of anode materials

Electrode materials with high desalination capacity and long-term cyclic stability are the focus of capacitive deionization(CDI) community. Understanding the causes of performance decay in traditional carbons is crucial to design a high-performance material. Based on this, here, nitrogen-doped activated carbon(NAC) was prepared by pyrolyzing the blend of activated carbon powder(ACP) and melamine for the positive electrode of asymmetric CDI. By comparing the indicators changes such as conductivity, salt adsorption capacity, pH, and charge efficiency of the symmetrical ACP-ACP device to the asymmetric ACP-NAC device under different CDI cycles, as well as the changes of the electrochemical properties of anode and cathode materials after long-term operation, the reasons for the decline of the stability of the CDI performance were revealed. It was found that the carboxyl functional groups generated by the electro-oxidation of anode carbon materials make the anode zero-charge potential(E_(pzc)) shift positively,which results in the uneven distribution of potential windows of CDI units and affects the adsorption capacity. Furthermore, by understanding the electron density on C atoms surrounding the N atoms, we attribute the increased cyclic stability to the enhanced negativity of the charge of carbon atoms adjacent to quaternary-N and pyridinic-oxide-N.

An empirical method for joint inversion of wave and wind parameters based on SAR and wave spectrometer data

Synthetic aperture radar(SAR)and wave spectrometers,crucial in microwave remote sensing,play an essential role in monitoring sea surface wind and wave conditions.However,they face inherent limitations in observing sea surface phenomena.SAR systems,for instance,are hindered by an azimuth cut-off phenomenon in sea surface wind field observation.Wave spectrometers,while unaffected by the azimuth cutoff phenomenon,struggle with low azimuth resolution,impacting the capture of detailed wave and wind field data.This study utilizes SAR and surface wave investigation and monitoring(SWIM)data to initially extract key feature parameters,which are then prioritized using the extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)algorithm.The research further addresses feature collinearity through a combined analysis of feature importance and correlation,leading to the development of an inversion model for wave and wind parameters based on XGBoost.A comparative analysis of this model with ERA5 reanalysis and buoy data for of significant wave height,mean wave period,wind direction,and wind speed reveals root mean square errors of 0.212 m,0.525 s,27.446°,and 1.092 m/s,compared to 0.314 m,0.888 s,27.698°,and 1.315 m/s from buoy data,respectively.These results demonstrate the model’s effective retrieval of wave and wind parameters.Finally,the model,incorporating altimeter and scatterometer data,is evaluated against SAR/SWIM single and dual payload inversion methods across different wind speeds.This comparison highlights the model’s superior inversion accuracy over other methods.

Identification of tumorigenic risk genes in human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells treated with 3-methylcholanthrene

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)capable of tumour topotaxis have been served as cellular vehicles to deliver anti-tumour agents.As cellular components of the tumour microenvironment,MSCs also affect tumour progression.However,the tumour transformation-related genes of MSCs remain unclear since either tumorigenic or tumour suppressor effects within these cells have been researched.Hence,we aimed to identify potential biomarkers indicative of tumorigenic risk by RNA-seq analysis of human placenta tissue-derived MSCs(hPTMSCs)exposed to the carcinogenic agent,3-methylcholanthrene(3-MC).Twenty-nine tumour transformation-related genes and three pluripotency-related genes were appraised as differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in hPTMSCs.Overexpression of sfrp1 led to reduced cell viability,migration,and colony formation in A549.In contrast,the overexpression of ptgs2 exerted the opposite effect.These results indicate that A549 cells with high ptgs2 expression but low sfrp1 expression may have a more potential tumorigenic capacity.Taken together,this study suggests that ptgs2 and sfrp1 may be tumorigenic risk genes.

Hupo powder promotes autophagy of menstrual blood-derived stem cells from patients with endometriosis

Objective:To explore the effect of Hupo powder(HP)on autophagy in menstrual blood-derived stem cells(MenSCs)with endometriosis(EMT).Methods:EMT MenSCs(E-MenSCs)and healthy MenSCs(H-MenSCs)were isolated from the menstrual blood of patients with EMT and healthy female participants,respectively.We identified their stem cells’characteristics via adipogenic and osteogenic differentiation.Twelve male SpragueeDawley rats received 0.9% NaCl and HP-dispensing granules by gastric irrigation to prepare blank serum and medicated serum,respectively.We used serum concentrations of 5%,10%,and 20%,each at administered times of 12,24,and 48 h to select the best condition.These cells were divided into three groups:blank serum of the control group,blank serum of the model group,and medicated serum of the HP group.H-MenSCs were used in the control group,while E-MenSCs were used in the model and HP groups.We analyzed cell viability using a cell counting kit-8 assay,observed cell morphology,evaluated the amounts of auto-phagosomes and autolysosomes by transmission electron microscopy,and detected the protein expression of autophagy markers(LC3-II and Beclin1)by Western blot.Results:E-MenSCs and H-MenSCs became long fusiform with a diffuse radial pattern,forming lipid droplets and calcium nodules after adipogenic and osteogenic differentiation.We then used the best conditiond 20% serum and 48 hdfor the subsequent experiments.In contrast to the model group,the HP group exhibited lower cell viability(=0.007),larger amounts of autophagosomes and autolysosomes(P<0.001 and P=0.001,respectively),and higher expression of LC3-II and Beclin1(P=0.021 and P=0.019,respectively).Conclusion:Hupo powder can promote autophagy in E-MenSCs,which might be one of the mechanisms underlying its therapeutic effects.

针对现有齿轮箱故障诊断方法对数据长度敏感的缺陷,提出了一种基于增强层次多样性熵(EHDE)和野马算法(WHO)优化支持向量机(SVM)的齿轮箱故障诊断模型。首先,传统熵值特征提取方法在特征提取阶段对数据样本的长度比较敏感,为此提出了增强层次多样性熵,并将其作为特征提取指标用于提取齿轮箱的故障特征;其次,采用WHO算法对SVM模型的参数进行了优化,建立了参数最优的WHO-SVM分类器;最后,将故障特征样本输入至WHO-SVM分类器中进行了训练和识别,完成了样本的故障识别;利用齿轮箱数据集分别从数据长度敏感性、算法特征提取时间、模型诊断性能三种角度对EHDE、精细复合多尺度样本熵、精细复合多尺度模糊熵、精细复合多尺度排列熵、精细复合多尺度散布熵、精细复合多尺度波动散布熵进行了对比研究。研究结果表明:EHDE方法对数据长度的要求较低,在数据长度为512时即可以取得99.1%的平均识别准确率,在诊断稳定性和诊断精度方面均优于其他对比方法;在算法的泛化性实验中,EHDE方法能够以98%的准确率识别齿轮箱的不同故障类型,具有明显的泛化性和通用性。

Exploitation of methane in the hydrate by use of carbon dioxide in the presence of sodium chloride

The replacement process of CH4 from CH4 hydrate formed in NaCl solution by using pressurized CO2 was investigated with a self-designed device at temperatures of 271.05, 273.15 and 275.05 K and a constant pressure of 3.30 MPa. The mass fraction of the NaCl solution was either 0.5 wt% or 1.0 wt%. The effects of temperature and concentration of NaCl solution on the replacement process were investigated. Experimental results showed that high temperature was favorable to the replacement reaction but high NaCl concentration had a negative effect on the replacement process. Based on the experimental data, kinetic models of CH4 hydrate decomposition and CO2 hydrate formation in NaCl solution were established. The calculated activation energies suggested that both CH4 hydrate decomposition and CO2 hydrate formation are dominated by diffusion in the hydrate phase.

目的总结基于眶周形态及组织特点设计毛发移植治疗烧伤后眉缺损的经验。方法回顾性分析2011年1月至2023年9月于中国医学科学院整形外科医院毛发移植中心治疗的烧伤后眉缺损患者的临床资料。根据烧伤后患者眶周形态和组织特点对眉毛的位置和形态进行设计:以枕部靠近后发际线处或耳后发际处为供区, 使用头皮条切取法或毛囊单位切取术(FUE)获取毛囊, 有头皮瘢痕需要切除或曾行头皮扩张手术有"猫耳"畸形需要修整的头皮也可以作为供区, 将毛囊分为含单根毛发的毛囊单位(FUs);用规格为21或22 G针头在受区穿刺打孔直至皮下浅层, 然后用显微镊夹持毛干部, 将毛发移植到受区, 以修复眉毛形态。术后对患者眉毛密度、形态和方向以及供区瘢痕情况进行观察和随访。结果共纳入197例患者(282条眉毛), 其中男133例, 女64例;年龄9~62岁, 平均33.7岁;眉弓区皮片移植术后17例, 皮瓣及扩张皮瓣修复术后33例, 眼睑部皮片移植术后36例, 烧伤创面瘢痕愈合111例;双侧眉完全缺失51例、部分缺损34例, 单侧眉完全缺失65例、部分缺损47例。282条眉毛的植发量为53~600 FUs, 其中采用头皮条切取分离法75例, FUE法122例。术后随访9个月至10年, 有17例患者出现毛囊炎, 经75%乙醇涂擦后痊愈;9例眉毛密度不足, 1年后再次通过毛发移植进行加密;其余患者植入毛发生长良好, 接近正常眉毛的形态及方向, 效果满意。供区瘢痕不明显。结论采用毛发移植治疗烧伤后眉缺损时, 首先要根据眶周形态及组织特点设计眉形, 再考虑眉毛的整体位置和双侧的对称性。只有充分考虑烧伤后受区的特点, 才能获得理想的眉毛修复效果。

光子带隙光纤有着独特的结构形式、传输介质和导光机制,这使其具有传统光纤无法比拟的优点,是未来光纤陀螺的理想选择。但光子带隙光纤粗糙的纤芯内壁导致其产生强烈的背向散射次波,会使光子带隙光纤陀螺产生额外的非互易误差。为了定量分析光子带隙光纤背向散射次波强度大小,论文基于电偶极子辐射理论建立了一种简单的光子带隙光纤背向散射次波理论模型。通过聚焦离子束微纳加工法和原子力显微镜测量得到了准确的纤芯内壁表面形貌功率谱密度,进而计算得到HC-1550-02型光子带隙光纤背向散射系数理论值为2.61×10^(-9)/mm。通过光频域背向反射散射仪得到HC-1550-02型光子带隙光纤背向散射系数测量值为~1.82×10^(-9)/mm,初步验证了背向散射次波模型的正确性,为背向散射次波抑制技术研究奠定了基础。

Exploration of the potential mechanism of Danggui Shaoyao powder in the treatment of endometriosis based on bioinformatics

Background:Endometriosis is a hormone-and organ-dependent disease with unclear pathogenesis.Danggui Shaoyao powder(DSP)has been used for the treatment of endometriosis for many years and has been proven to be effective,but its underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear.In this study,we explored the molecular targets and pathways of DSP in the treatment of endometriosis mainly from the perspective of network pharmacology,and provided some novel ideas for managing this disease.Methods:In the present study,we focused on the underlying mechanisms between DPS and endometriosis,via oral bioavailability screening,drug similarity assessment,target identification,network analysis,drug relocation,and molecular docking using network pharmacology.Results:By bioinformatics,54 active components of DSP were predicted from the 534 components provided by the TCMSP database.We then found 85 validated targets and 6059 predicted targets for herbal components,and 2241 targets for endometriosis.After mapping,there were 255 targets in common.After that,network analysis was performed to screen key networks and core targets.Ninetynine indirect targets were collected from 14 direct ones.GO and KEGG analyses identified 63 enriched functions and 10 pathways(Pmanagement of endometriosis.

【目的】研究氮肥对饲用小黑麦生产性能和营养品质的影响,确定宁夏雨养区饲用小黑麦的最佳氮肥施用量,为饲用小黑麦的高效生产和可持续发展提供参考。【方法】2021-2022年,以‘晋饲草1号’饲用小黑麦为试验材料,在宁夏固原市原州区曹堡村进行大田试验,研究氮肥不同施用量(0 kg/hm ^(2)(F_(1),对照),75 kg/hm ^(2)(F_(2)),150 kg/hm ^(2)(F_(3))和225 kg/hm ^(2)(F_(4)))对饲用小黑麦生产性能和氮肥偏生产力以及营养品质的影响,并分析生产性能与营养品质间的相关性,最后采用主成分分析法对不同氮肥处理饲用小黑麦的农艺性状和营养品质进行综合评价。【结果】2021-2022年,施氮肥处理的饲用小黑麦株高、叶茎比、叶片数和叶面积均高于未施氮肥处理,其中F_(3)处理的上述所有指标均最高。2021年和2022年,随着氮肥施用量的增加,饲用小黑麦粗灰分含量呈先降低后升高的趋势,粗脂肪、中性洗涤纤维和酸性洗涤纤维含量均呈降低趋势,粗蛋白含量和相对饲喂价值均呈先增加后降低的趋势,其中F_(3)处理的中性洗涤纤维和酸性洗涤纤维含量均较低,粗蛋白含量和相对饲喂价值均最高。2021年和2022年,随着氮肥施用量的增加,饲用小黑麦干草产量和粗蛋白产量均呈先增加后降低的趋势,饲用小黑麦氮肥偏生产力呈降低趋势,其中F_(3)处理饲用小黑麦的干草产量和粗蛋白产量均显著高于其他处理。相关性分析结果显示,饲用小黑麦的干草产量与株高、叶片数、粗蛋白产量以及粗蛋白含量呈显著正相关(PF_(2)>F_(4)>F_(1)。【结论】当氮肥施用量为150 kg/hm ^(2)时,饲用小黑麦生长指标、生产性能及营养品质总体均较优,为宁夏雨养区饲用小黑麦的最佳氮肥施用量。
