Construction of algal-bacterial consortia using green microalgae Chlorella vulgaris and As(Ⅲ)-oxidizing bacteria:As tolerance and metabolomic profiling

Bioremediation became a promising technology to resolve arsenic(As)contamination in aquatic environment.Since monoculture such as microalgae or bacteria was sensitive to environmental disturbance and vulnerable to contamination,green microalgae Chlorella vulgaris and arsenite(As(Ⅲ))-oxidizing bacteria Pseudomonas sp.SMS11 were co-cultured to construct algal-bacterial consortia in the current study.The effects of algae-bacteria(A:B)ratio and exposure As(Ⅲ)concentration on algal growth,As speciation and metabolomic profile were investigated.Algal growth arrested when treated with 100 mg/L As(Ⅲ)without the co-cultured bacteria.By contrast,co-cultured with strain SMS11 significantly enhanced As tolerance in C.vulgaris especially with A:B ratio of 1:10.All the As(Ⅲ)in culture media of the consortia were oxidized into As(Ⅴ)on day 7.Methylation of As was observed on day 14.Over 1% and 0.5% of total As were converted into dimethylarsinic acid(DMA)after 21days cultivation when the initial concentrations of As(Ⅲ)were 1 and 10 mg/L,respectively.Metabolomic analysis was further performed to reveal the response of consortia metabolites to external As(Ⅲ).The enriched metabolomic pathways were associated with carbohydrate,amino acid and energy metabolisms.Tricarboxylic acid cycle and glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism were upregulated under As stress due to their biological functions on alleviating oxidative stress and protecting cells.Both carbohydrate and amino acid metabolisms provided precursors and potential substrates for energy production and cell protection under abiotic stress.Alterations of the pathways relevant to carbohydrate or amino acid metabolism were triggered by energy requirement.

Ionome profiling and arsenic speciation provide evidence of arsenite detoxification in rice by phosphate and arsenite-oxidizing bacteria

Arsenite(As(III))as the most toxic and mobile form is the dominant arsenic(As)species in flooded paddy fields,resulting in higher accumulation of As in paddy rice than other terrestrial crops.Mitigation of As toxicity to rice plant is an important way to safeguard food production and safety.In the current study,As(III)-oxidizing bacteria Pseudomonas sp.strain SMS11 was inoculated with rice plants to accelerate conversion of As(III)into lower toxic arsenate(As(V)).Meanwhile,additional phosphate was supplemented to restrict As(V)uptake by the rice plants.Growth of rice plant was significantly inhibited under As(III)stress.The inhibition was alleviated by the introduction of additional P and SMS11.Arsenic speciation showed that additional P restricted As accumulation in the rice roots via competing common uptake pathways,while inoculation with SMS11 limited As translocation from root to shoot.Ionomic profiling revealed specific characteristics of the rice tissue samples from different treatment groups.Compared to the roots,ionomes of the rice shoots were more sensitive to environmental perturbations.Both extraneous P and As(III)-oxidizing bacteria SMS11 could alleviate As(III)stress to the rice plants through promoting growth and regulating ionome homeostasis.

[目的/意义]针对已有在线健康社区用户隐私披露意愿影响因素研究结果间的差异问题,对该领域相关实证研究进行系统定量分析得出更为客观、普适的结论。[方法/过程]采用元分析方法,对搜集的30篇实证研究中所提取的数据进行量化综述。[结果/结论]互惠规范、自我效能感、信任、感知收益、信息支持、情感支持对在线健康社区用户隐私披露意愿具有显著正向影响;感知风险和隐私关注对在线健康社区用户隐私披露意愿具有显著负向影响。同时,本研究识别出不同研究之间存在异质性部分可能与被试对象文化背景、年龄的差异有关。

以国内2003—2023年中国知网(China National Knowledge Infrastructure,CNKI)数据库中有关教师信息素养研究的403篇核心期刊文献为数据来源,借助可视化软件CiteSpace6.2.R5绘制科学知识图谱,分别对研究趋势、研究热点及演进过程进行分析。结果表明:国内教师信息素养研究整体呈现先快速增长后波动式下降趋势,且大致可划为快速增长和稳步发展两个阶段;研究热点主要围绕教师信息素养、大学英语教师、信息化、培养策略等主题展开;演进过程则大致可分为起步、发展、聚焦3个阶段。

碳源补充型高级氧化法工艺净化水中磺胺类抗生素研究进展与趋势

磺胺类抗生素(SAs)是自然水环境和污水处理系统中检出频次与残留浓度最高的抗生素之一。过氧乙酸(PAA)作为广谱性杀菌剂,因其氧化性强、环境友好等优势,其用于有机污染物降解成为研究热点之一。与传统H2O2基芬顿法等无机氧化法相比,PAA氧化反应生成乙酸,经中和后转化的乙酸钠可为后续生化工艺段提供优质碳源,有效降低含SAs废水的处理成本。该文对PAA基碳源补充型高级氧化法的研究进展与趋势进行了系统总结。以SAs作为典型水环境污染物,对近年来PAA基碳源补充型高级氧化工艺进行了系统总结分析,比较分析了其对各类水质背景中SAs的去除效能,并对过渡金属、碳基材料等多种PAA活化方式,工艺运行参数、活性氧物种(ROS)的交联作用机理以及SAs降解机制进行了剖析。研究发现,乙酰氧基自由基和乙酰过氧基自由基为PAA基高级氧化工艺中的基础活性物质,pH、PAA含量、共存物质等会不同程度上影响体系中ROS的生成路径。此外,磺胺类抗生素主要包括五元磺胺和六元磺胺,二者降解机理存在一定差异。五元磺胺降解主要依靠苯胺环上氨基氧化、羟基取代、S–N/S–C键断裂、N中心自由基偶联反应等4种途径;六元磺胺降解过程还包括SO_(2)脱除、斯迈尔斯重排等机制。在PAA基碳源补充型高级氧化工艺研究领域,新型高性能非均相PAA活化方式开发、实际工况的运行调控与成本控制等将成为未来研究热点。该文可为PAA基碳源补充型高级氧化工艺治理水环境新污染物的研究与应用方向提供参考。

Effect of dietary supplement of inactivated Lactobacillus plantarum Ep-M 17 on growth performance,immune response,disease resistance,and intestinal microbiota in Penaeus vannamei

Our previous study found that feeding with Lactobacillus plantarum Ep-M17 could effectively affect the growth performance,immune response,and gut microbiota of Penaeus vannamei.However,high temperature and pressure during feed pelletizing is the main problem that can lead to a decrease in the activity of probiotics or cause their inactivation.Further investigation needs to investigate whether inactivated Ep-M17 can exert similar effects as live Ep-M17.Therefore,we evaluated the effects of inactivated L.plantarum Ep-M17 on growth performance,immune response,disease resistance,and gut microbiota in P.vannamei.Results show that adding inactivated Ep-M17 to the feed also promoted body weight gain and increased relative immune protection in shrimp.Also,histological examination revealed that the administration of inactivated Ep-M17 led to improvements in the density and distribution of microvilli in the intestines and enhancements in the abundance of B and R cells in the hepatopancreas.Additionally,the inactivated Ep-M17 supplementation resulted in increased activity levels of nutrient immune-related enzymes in both the shrimp hepatopancreas and intestines.Moreover,it stimulated the expression of Lvlec,PEN-3a,Crustin,LGBP,Lysozyme,and proPo genes in both the hepatopancreas and intestines.Furthermore,the inactivated Ep-M17 also increased bacterial diversity in the gut of shrimp and promoted the abundance of specific flora,facilitating the host organism’s metabolism and immunity to improve the disease resistance of shrimp.Therefore,supplementation of inactivated L.plantarum Ep-M17 in shrimp diets can exert similar effects as live L.plantarum Ep-M17 effectively improving growth performance,gut microbiota,immune response,and disease resistance in P.vannamei.

Robust,self-adhesive,and low-contact impedance polyvinyl alcohol/polyacrylamide dual-network hydrogel semidry electrode for biopotential signal acquisition

herein,we fabricated a flexible semidry electrode with excellent mechanical performance,satisfactory self-adhesiveness,and low-contact impedance using physical/chemical crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol/polyacrylamide dual-network hydrogels(PVA/PAM DNHs)as an efficient saline reservoir.The resultant PVA/PAM DNHs showed admirable adhesive and compliance to the hairy scalp,facilitating the establishment of a robust electrode/skin interface for biopotential signal transmission.Moreover,the PVA/PAM DNHs steadily released trace saline onto the scalp to achieve the minimized potential drift(1.47±0.39 mV/min)and low electrode–scalp impedance(18.2±8.9 kΩ@10 Hz).More importantly,the application feasibility of real-world brain−computer interfaces(BCIs)was preliminarily validated by 10 participants using two classic BCI paradigms.The mean temporal cross-correlation coefficients between the semidry and wet electrodes in the eyes open/closed and the N200 speller paradigms are 0.919±0.054 and 0.912±0.050,respectively.Both electrodes demonstrate anticipated neuroelectrophysiological responses with similar patterns.This semidry electrode could also effectively capture robust P-QRS-T peaks during electrocardiogram recording.Considering their outstanding advantages of fast setup,user-friendliness,and robust signals,the proposed PVA/PAM DNH-based electrode is a promising alternative to wet electrodes in biopotential signal acquisition.

There are few tumor cell subpopulations with stem cell characteristics in tumor tis-sue,defined as cancer stem cells(CSCs)or cancer stem-like cells(CSLCs),which can recon-struct neoplasms with malignant biological behaviors such as invasiveness via self-renewal and unlimited generation.The microenvironment that CsCs depend on consists of various cellular components and corresponding medium components.Among these factors existing at a variety of levels and forms,cytokine networks and numerous signal pathways play an important role in signaling transduction.These factors promote or maintain cancer cell stem-ness,and participate in cancer recurrence,metastasis,and resistance.This review aims to summarize the recent molecular data concerning the multilayered relationship between CsCs and CsC-favorable microenvironments.We also discuss the therapeutic implications of target-ing this synergistic interplay,hoping to give an insight into targeting cancer cell stemness for tumortherapyandprognosis.
