Nuciferine alleviates collagen-induced arthritic in rats by inhibiting the proliferation and invasion of human arthritis-derived fibroblast-like synoviocytes and rectifying Th17/Treg imbalance

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic autoimmune disorder marked by persistent synovial inflammation and joint degradation,posing challenges in the development of effective ***,an alkaloid found in lotus leaf,has shown promising anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects,yet its efficacy in RA treatment remains *** study investigated the antiproliferative effects of nuciferine on the MH7A cell line,a human RA-derived fibroblast-like synoviocyte,revealing its ability to inhibit cell proliferation,promote apoptosis,induce apoptosis,and cause G1/S phase ***,nuciferine significantly reduced the migration and invasion capabilities of MH7A *** therapeutic potential of nuciferine was further evaluated in a collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)rat model,where it markedly alleviated joint swelling,synovial hyperplasia,cartilage injury,and inflammatory *** also improved collagen-induced bone erosion,decreased pro-inflammatory cytokines and serum immunoglobulins(IgG,IgG1,IgG2a),and restored the balance between T helper(Th)17 and regulatory T cells in the spleen of CIA *** results indicate that nuciferine may offer therapeutic advantages for RA by decreasing the proliferation and invasiveness of FLS cells and correcting the Th17/Treg cell imbalance in CIA rats.

Mitochondrial transplantation confers protection against the effects of ischemic stroke by repressing microglial pyroptosis and promoting neurogenesis

Transferring healthy and functional mitochondria to the lateral ventricles confers neuroprotection in a rat model of ischemia-reperfusion injury. Autologous mitochondrial transplantation is also beneficial in pediatric patients with cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury. Thus, transplantation of functional exogenous mitochondria may be a promising therapeutic approach for ischemic disease. To explore the neuroprotective effect of mitochondria transplantation and determine the underlying mechanism in ischemic stroke, in this study we established a photo-thrombosis-induced mouse model of focal ischemia and administered freshly isolated mitochondria via the tail vein or to the injury site(in situ). Animal behavior tests, immunofluorescence staining, 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC) staining, mRNA-seq, and western blotting were used to assess mouse anxiety and memory, cortical infarct area, pyroptosis, and neurogenesis, respectively. Using bioinformatics analysis, western blotting, co-immunoprecipitation, and mass spectroscopy, we identified S100 calcium binding protein A9(S100A9) as a potential regulator of mitochondrial function and determined its possible interacting proteins. Interactions between exogenous and endogenous mitochondria, as well as the effect of exogenous mitochondria on recipient microglia, were assessed in vitro. Our data showed that:(1) mitochondrial transplantation markedly reduced mortality and improved emotional and cognitive function, as well as reducing infarct area, inhibiting pyroptosis, and promoting cortical neurogenesis;(2) microglial expression of S100A9 was markedly increased by ischemic injury and regulated mitochondrial function;(3) in vitro, exogenous mitochondria enhanced mitochondrial function, reduced redox stress, and regulated microglial polarization and pyroptosis by fusing with endogenous mitochondria; and(4) S100A9 promoted internalization of exogenous mitochondria by the microglia, thereby amplifying their pro-prolifera

Chitosan-collagen/organomontmorillonite scaffold for bone tissue engineering

A novel composite scaffold based on chitosan-collagenlorganomontmo- rillonite （CS-COL/OMMT） was prepared to improve swelling ratio, biodegradation ratio, biomineralization and mechanical properties for use in tissue engineering applications. In order to expend the basal spacing, montmorillonite （MMT） was modified with sodium dodecyl sulfate （SDS） and was characterized by XRD, TGA and FTIR. The results indicated that the anionic surfactants entered into interlayer of MMT and the basal spacing of MMT was expanded to 3.85 nm. The prepared composite scaffolds were characterized by FTIR, XRD and SEM. The swelling ratio, biodegradation ratio and mechanical properties of composite scaffolds were also studied. The results demonstrated that the scaffold decreased swelling ratio, degradation ratio and improved mechanical and biomineralization properties because of OMMT.

《海洋环境保护法》第89条第2款规定了海洋环境监管部门代表国家排他性提起损害赔偿的诉讼制度,为海洋环境公益提供了特殊的诉讼保护方式。因该项制度设计的粗疏以及关联政策、立法回应不足,造成对该条款规定的理论解释困惑和制度适用障碍,导致提起海洋环境公益诉讼的主体类型受限、海洋环境公益保护诉讼程序衔接不畅、海洋环境监管部门"两种角色"手段配合不当的突出问题,直接限制了环境公益诉讼制度在海洋环境保护领域的功能发挥。破解这一问题的关键在于阐明海洋环境公益保护背后的诉讼法律关系和应用法理,完善海洋环境公益保护诉讼制度体系,实现海洋环境保护的诉权利益调整和诉讼秩序优化。重点是打破现有研究的思维定式,避免将《海洋环境保护法》第89条第2款规定的诉讼类型推演为海洋环境公益诉讼并作为讨论前提,明确该条款规定为带有维护海洋环境公益特点的"准环境公益诉讼",将其与"私益诉讼""国益诉讼""环境公益诉讼"进行合理界分,为海洋环境公益诉讼的发展提供制度空间,理顺各类型诉讼和保护机制之间的关系。在此之下,完善海洋环境监管部门"两种角色"作用发挥的制度设计,保障环境行政手段与诉讼保护手段之间的衔接配合,理顺海洋环境公益保护各类型诉讼提起的顺位与程序,促进各类诉讼手段各归其位,形成与行政保护机制的合力,最终实现对海洋生态环境的整体性保护。

Impact of Temperature on Absorption Coefficient of Pure Seawater in the Blue Wavelengths Inferred from Satellite and In Situ Measurements

There has been a long history of interest on how(if)the absorption coefficient of“pure”fresh water(a_(fw)(λ))and“pure”seawater(a_(sw)(λ))changes with temperature(T),yet the impact of T reported in the literature differs significantly in the blue *** the previous studies based on laboratory measurements,we took an approach based on~18 years(2002–2020)of MODIS ocean color and temperature measurements in the oligotrophic oceans,along with field measured chlorophyll concentration and phytoplankton absorption coefficient,to examine the relationship between T and the total absorption coefficient(a(λ))at 412 and 443 *** found that the values of a(412)and a(443)in the summer are nearly flat(slightly decreasing)for the observed T range of~19–27℃.Since there are no detectable changes of chlorophyll during this period,the results suggest that T has a negligible impact on a_(sw)(412) and a_(sw)(443)in this T *** a complement,the impact of salinity on a_(fw)(λ) was also evaluated using three independent determinations of a_(sw)(λ) and a_(fw)(λ),where good agreements were found from these observations.

Let ζ be a class of finite groups. A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be ζs-quasinormal in G if there exists a normal subgroup T of G such that HT is s-permutable in G and (H ∩T )HG /HG is contained in the ζ-hypercenter ZF∞ (G/H G ) of G/H G . In this paper, we use ζs-quasinormal subgroups to study the structure of finite groups. Some new results are obtained.

Metal sulphide electrocatalyst is considered as one of the most promising low-cost candidates for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).In this work,we report a novel free-standing Cu2S branch array via a facile TiO2-induced electrodeposition-sulfurization ***,cross-linked Cu2S nanoflake branch is strongly anchored on the TiO2 backbone forming high-quality Cu2S/TiO2/Cu2S core-branch *** branch formation mechanism is also *** compared to the pure Cu2S nanowire arrays,the asprepared Cu2S/TiO2/Cu2S core-branch arrays show much better alkaline OER performance with lower overpotential(284 mV at 10 mA cm^-2)and smaller Tafel slope(72 dec-1)as well as enhanced longterm durability mainly due to larger exposed area and more active electrocatalytic *** work provides a new way for construction of advanced metal sulphide electrocatalysts for electrochemical energy conversion.

Gene expression profiling and mechanism study of neural stem cells response to surface chemistry

To declare the mechanisms of neural stem cells(NSCs)in response to material surface chemistry,NSCs were exposed to the self-assemble monolayers of alkanethiolates on gold surfaces terminated with amine(NH2),hydroxyl(OH)and methyl(CH3)for *** morphological responses of NSCs were recorded;the gene expression profilings were detected by genechips;the gene expressions data of NSCs responded to different chemical groups were declared through the gene ontology term and pathway *** showed that cells behaved dissimilar on the three chemical groups,the adhesion,proliferation and migration were easier on the NH2 and OH groups;the gene expressions of NSCs were induced differently,either,involved in several functional processes and signaling ***3 group induced genes enriched much in chemistry reactions and death processes,whereas many genes of cellular nucleotide metabolism were ***2 group induced NSCs to express many genes of receptors on membrane,and participated in cellular signal transduction of cell adhesion and interactions,or associated with axon *** group was similar to NH2 group to induce the membrane response,but it also down regulated metabolism of ***,it declared the chemical groups affected NSCs through inner way and the NH2,OH and CH3 groups triggered the cellular gene expression in different signaling pathways.

2SWUNet: small window SWin UNet based on tansformer for building extraction from high-resolution remote sensing images

Models dedicated to building long-range dependencies often exhibit degraded performance when transferred to remote sensing images. Vision transformer(Vi T) is a new paradigm in computer vision that uses multi-head self-attention(MSA) rather than convolution as the main computational module, with global modeling capabilities. However, its performance on small datasets is usually far inferior to that of convolutional neural networks(CNNs). In this work, we propose a small window SWin UNet(2SWUNet) for building extraction from high-resolution remote sensing images. Firstly, the 2SWUNet is trained based on swin transformer by designing a fully symmetric encoder-decoder U-shaped architecture. Secondly, to construct a reasonable U-shaped architecture for building extraction from high-resolution remote sensing images, different forms of patch expansion are explored to simulate up-sampling operations and recover feature map resolution. Then, the small window-based multi-head self-attention(W-MSA) is designed to reduce the computational and memory burden, which is more appropriate for the features of remote sensing images. Meanwhile, the pre-training mechanism is advanced to make up for the lack of decoder parameters. Finally, comparison experiments with other mainstream CNNs and Vi Ts validate the superiority of the proposed model.
