Background:Sepsis is a serious disease caused by *** has anti-asthma and anti-inflammatory *** aimed to explore the safety and effect of aminophylline in ***:We conducted a clinical randomized controlled trial involving 100 patients diagnosed with sepsis within 48 h after intensive care unit(ICU)admission in two *** patients were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive standard therapy with or without *** primary clinical outcome was all-cause mortality at 28 ***:From September 27,2018 to February 12,2020,we screened 277 septic patients and eventually enrolled 100 patients,with 50 assigned to the aminophylline group and 50 to the usual-care *** 28 days,7 of 50 patients(14.0%)in the aminophylline group had died,compared with 16 of 50(32.0%)in the usual-care group(P=0.032).Cox regression showed that the aminophylline group had a lower hazard of death(hazard ratio=0.312,95%confidence interval:0.129–0.753).Compared with the usual-care group,patients in the aminophylline group had a longer survival time(P=0.039 by the log-rank test).The effects of aminophylline on vasopressor dose,oxygenation index,and sequential organ failure assessment score were timedependent with *** were no significant differences in total hospitalization days,ICU hospitalization days,and rates of serious adverse events(all P>0.05).No adverse events were observed in the ***:Aminophylline as an adjunct therapy could significantly reduce the risk of death and prolong the survival time of patients with *** registration:***,ChiCTR1800019173.

Sixteen new dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins(1-16)featuring diverse structural variations in the side chain at C-17,along with twenty-one known analogues(17-37),have been isolated from the rhizomes of Gynostemma longipes ***,a plant renowned for its medicinal and edible *** structural elucidation of these compounds was accomplished through comprehensive analyses of 1D and 2D NMR and HRMS spectroscopic data,supplemented by comparison with previously reported *** assays on the isolates for their protective effects against hypoxia-induced damage in pheochromocytoma cells(PC12 cells)revealed that nine saponins exhibited significant anti-hypoxic *** investigation into the anti-hypoxia mechanisms of the representative saponins demonstrated that compounds 22 and 36 markedly reduced the levels of hypoxia-induced ***,these compounds were found to decrease the release of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and malondialdehyde(MDA),while increasing the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD),thereby indicating that the saponins could mitigate hypoxia-induced injuries by ameliorating apoptosis and oxidative *** findings offer substantial evidence for the future utilization and development of ***,identifying dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins as its active anti-hypoxic constituents.

Interannual evolution of the chemical composition,sources and processes of PM_(2.5)in Chengdu,China:Insights from observations in four winters

The air quality in China has improved significantly in the last decade and,correspondingly,the characteristics of PM_(2.5)have also *** studied the interannual variation of PM_(2.5)in Chengdu,one of the most heavily polluted megacities in southwest China,during the most polluted season(winter).Our results show that the mass concentrations of PM_(2.5)decreased significantly year-by-year,from 195.8±91.0μg/m~3in winter 2016 to 96.1±39.3μg/m^(3)in winter *** mass concentrations of organic matter(OM),SO_()4^(2-),NH_(4)^(+)and NO_(3)^(-)decreased by 49.6%,57.1%,49.7% and 28.7%,*** differential reduction in the concentrations of chemical components increased the contributions from secondary organic carbon and NO_(3)^(-)and there was a larger contribution from mobile *** contribution of OM and NO_(3)^(-)not only increased with increasing levels of pollution,but also increased year-by-year at the same level of *** sources of PM_(2.5)were identified:combustion sources,vehicular emissions,dust and secondary *** aerosols made the highest contribution and increased year-by-year,from 40.6%in winter 2016 to 46.3% in winter *** contrast,the contribution from combustion sources decreased from 14.4% to 8.7%.Our results show the effectiveness of earlier pollution reduction policies and emphasizes that priority should be given to key pollutants(e.g.,OM and NO_(3)^(-))and sources(secondary aerosols and vehicular emissions)in future policies for the reduction of pollution in Chengdu during the winter months.

Exogenous calcium enhances the physiological status and photosynthetic capacity of rose under drought stress

Drought(water shortage)can substantially limit the yield and economic value of rose plants(Rosa spp.).Here,we characterized the effect of exogenous calcium(Ca^(2+))on the antioxidant system and photosynthesis-related properties of rose under polyethylene glycol 6000(PEG6000)-induced drought *** levels,as well as leaf and root biomass,were significantly reduced by drought;drought also had a major effect on the enzymatic antioxidant system and increased concentrations of reactive oxygen *** of exogenous Ca^(2+)increased the net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance of leaves,enhanced water-use efficiency,and increased the length and width of stomata following exposure to ***-specific physiological responses were observed under different concentrations of Ca^(2+).Application of 5 mmol·L^(-1)Ca^(2+)promoted photosynthesis and antioxidant activity in the leaves,and application of 10 mmol·L^(-1)Ca^(2+)promoted antioxidant activity in the *** of exogenous Ca^(2+)greatly enhanced the phenotype and photosynthetic capacity of potted rose plants following exposure to drought ***,our findings indicate that the application of exogenous Ca^(2+)enhances the drought resistance of roses by promoting physiological adaptation and that it could be used to aid the cultivation of rose plants.

Neural differentiation of human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells following neural cell co-culture

We induced human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells （hPMSCs） to differentiate into neural cells by adding chemical reagents, despite the fact that toxic chemicals induce cell shrinkage or cytoskeletal formation, which does not represent a proper cell differentiation process. The present study established a co-culture system with hPMSCs and neural cells and analyzed the influence of neural cells on hPMSC differentiation in a co-culture system, hPMSCs were isolated and purified from human full-term placenta using collagenase digestion. Fetal neural cells were co-cultured with hPMSCs for 48 hours using the Transwell co-culture system, hPMSCs co-cultured with neural cells exhibited a slender morphology with a filament. After 96 hours, hPMSCs expressed neuron-specific enolase, which suggested that co-culture of hPMSCs and neural cells induced neural differentiation of hPMSCs.

晋粱112号是山西农业大学高粱研究所以河北承德市农林科学院(原河北承德地区农科所)引进的不育系承16A为母本,以通过组培育种技术选育的优良恢复系R111为父本,在山西农业大学高粱研究所东白试验基地选育而成,2023年通过农业农村部非主要农作物品种登记,登记编号为 GPD 高粱(2023)140102。2021-2022年晋粱112号2年适应性试验平均产量达9583.6kg/hm2,比对照晋杂34号平均增产11.7%;生育期128.8d,幼苗绿色,芽鞘绿色,株高169.7cm,穗长30.9cm,穗纺锤形,中紧穗型,红壳褐粒,穗粒重85.5g,千粒重27.8g。该品种具有淀粉含量高、抗旱、抗丝黑穗病、丰产性好等优点,适宜在无霜期130d以上中晚熟地区(山西太原、晋中、长治,山东及新疆昌吉等)种植。

目的探讨丁螺环酮联合阿戈美拉汀治疗伴焦虑症状抑郁症的临床效果及安全性。方法选取2019年1月~2021年1月开滦精神卫生中心收治的862例伴焦虑症状抑郁症患者,符合《精神障碍诊断与统计手册(第五版)》伴有焦虑症状抑郁症诊断标准,按随机数字表法分两组,各431例。排除脱落病例,研究组389例、对照组382例。研究组给予丁螺环酮口服治疗,同时联合阿戈美拉汀口服治疗;对照组仅给予阿戈美拉汀口服治疗,比较两组治疗效果。治疗前和治疗8周后采用17项汉密尔顿抑郁量表(HAMD-17)、汉密尔顿焦虑量表(HAMA)评价患者情绪状态,采用多导睡眠图评价患者睡眠质量,采用血清肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、白细胞介素-6(IL-6)评价患者机体炎症状态,并统计两组不良反应。结果治疗后,研究组总有效率为90.23%,高于对照组的80.63%,差异有统计学意义(χ^(2)=14.315,P5 min的觉醒次数为(2.24±0.53)次,少于对照组的(2.72±0.71)次,差异有统计学意义(t=10.650,P<0.05);血清TNF-α、IL-6水平分别为(46.52±10.17)pg/mL、(35.64±9.62)pg/mL,均低于对照组的(55.43±13.48)pg/mL、(44.56±11.08)pg/mL,差异有统计学意义(t=10.373、11.943,P<0.05)。结论丁螺环酮联合阿戈美拉汀能更好地改善患者抑郁和焦虑情绪及睡眠质量,降低机体炎症反应,并不一定会增加药物不良反应的发生率。
