Aiming to achieve simultaneous good performances of in-situ sludge reduction and effluent quality,an integrated repeatedly coupling aerobic and anaerobic and oxic-setting-anaerobic system( r CAA + OSA) is developed to reduce sludge production and enhance nutrient removal. Considering the mechanism of in-situ sludge reduction in this r CAA +OSA system,the combined effect of energy uncoupling metabolism and sludge cryptic growth maybe attributed to the higher reduction of biomass. Results show that the maximal sludge reduction in this r CAA + OSA system is obtained when the hydraulic retention time( HRT) is controlled at6. 5 h,which an increase in 16. 67% reduction in excess sludge is achieved compared with OSA system( HRT of 6. 5 h). When compared the performances of effluent qualities,the enhanced nutrient removal efficiencies also can be observed in this r CAA + OSA system. Three-dimensional excitation emission matrix( 3D-EEM)fluorescence spectroscopy is applied to characterize the effluent organic matters( Ef OM) under different HRTs in the OSA and the r CAA+OSA systems. Analyses of 3D-EEM spectra show that more refractory humic-like and fulvic-like components are observed in the effluent of the OSA system. On the basis of these results,simultaneous enhanced in-situ sludge reduction and improved nutrient removal can be obtained in the r CAA +OSA systems.

Tuberculosis(TB)is a chronic infectious disease,which is caused by the pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb)and reemerged as a global health risk with a significant proportion of multi-drug resistant and extensively drug resistant TB *** is very urgent to find some novel high-confidence drug targets in Mtb for discovering the effective anti-TB *** reductase(TrxR)has been identified to be a highly viable target for anti-TB drugs for its important role in protecting the pathogen from thiol-specific oxidizing stress,regulating intracellular dithiol/disulfide homeostasis and DNA replication and *** the present work,a near-infrared(NIR)fluorescent probe DDAT was developed for the detection of TrxR activity and used to high-throughput screen the TrxR inhibitors from natural *** screened TrxR inhibitors from Sappan Lignum and microbial metabolites that were further used to inhibit Mycobacterium *** the results indicate that DDAT is a practical fluorescent molecular tool for the discovery of potential anti-TB drugs.

Data-driven approaches that make timely predictions about pollutant concentrations in the effluent of constructed wetlands are essential for improving the treatment performance of constructed ***,the effect of the meteorological condition and flow changes in a real scenario are generally neglected in water quality *** address this problem,in this study,we propose an approach based on multi-source data fusion that considers the following indicators:water quality indicators,water quantity indicators,and meteorological *** this study,we establish four representative methods to simultaneously predict the concentrations of three representative pollutants in the effluent of a practical large-scale constructed wetland:(1)multiple linear regression;(2)backpropagation neural network(BPNN);(3)genetic algorithm combined with the BPNN to solve the local minima problem;and(4)long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network to consider the influence of past results on the *** results suggest that the LSTM-predicting model performed considerably better than the other deep neural network-based model or linear method,with a satisfactory R^(2).Additionally,given the huge fluctuation of different pollutant concentrations in the effluent,we used a moving average method to smooth the original data,which successfully improved the accuracy of traditional neural networks and hybrid neural *** results of this study indicate that the hybrid modeling concept that combines intelligent and scientific data preprocessing methods with deep learning algorithms is a feasible approach for forecasting water quality in the effluent of actual engineering.

代谢解偶联剂是一类能抑制细胞体内能量偶联磷酸化的化合物,其存在可打破细胞内分解代谢与合成代谢之间的能量偶联,呼吸链中电子传递所产生的能量不能完全用于二磷酸腺苷(ADP)的磷酸化,抑制细菌体内三磷酸腺苷(ATP)的合成。在污水处理领域中,代谢解偶联剂最早被用于污泥过程减量方向的研究,而近些年发现其可以控制膜生物反应器(MBR)内信号分子的浓度并抑制膜污染的形成。概述了代谢解偶联剂的研究历程,阐述了代谢解偶联剂抑制细菌体内ATP合成的作用机制,综述了代谢解偶联剂在污泥减量,膜污染控制及其对污染物去除和活性污泥性质影响等方面的研究进展,指出了代谢解偶联剂在污水处理领域未来的研究方向。

Vanin-1 is an amidohydrolase that catalyses the conversion of pantetheine into the aminothiol cysteamine and pantothenic acid(coenzyme A precursor), which plays a vital role in multiple physiological and pathological processes. In this study, an enzyme-activated near-infrared(NIR) fluorescent probe(DDAV) has been constructed for sensitively detecting Vanin-1 activity in complicated biosamples on the basis of its catalytic characteristics. DDAV exhibited a high selectivity and sensitivity toward Vanin-1 and was successfully applied to the early diagnosis of kidney injury in cisplatin-induced kidney injury model. In addition, DDAV could serve as a visual tool for in situ imaging endogenous Vanin-1 in vivo. More importantly, Enterococcus faecalis 20247 which possessed high expression of Vanin-1 was screened out from intestinal bacteria using DDAV, provided useful guidance for the rational use of NSAIDs in clinic. Finally, oleuropein as a potent natural inhibitor for Vanin-1 was discovered fromherbal medicines library using a high-throughput screening method using DDAV, which held great promise for clinical therapy of inflammatory bowel disease.

In order to clarify regions of production and to discriminate processing methods, quantitative and qualitative analyses for saccharides and terpenes in 35 batches of Alismatis Rhizoma were *** included HPLC–PDA, HPLC–VWD and UHPLC–MSn, combined with principal component analysis(PCA) and partial least squares regression techniques(PLSR). The inhibitory effects of triterpenes and Alismatis Rhizoma extracts on lipase activity were evaluated in vitro. PLSR analysis revealed significant positive correlations(R2= 0.5795) between the contents of triterpenes 10, 14, 15, 18 and 22 and the inhibitory effects of Alismatis Rhizoma. The present study establishes an effective method for simultaneous determination of multiple components, and identifies key bioactive triterpenes. These results can be used for systematic and novel analytical strategies for the quality control of Alismatis Rhizoma production.
