Cryptochrome 1(CRY1)functions as a light-responsive photoreceptor,which is crucial for circadian *** identity and function of CRY1 in Plutella xylostella remain *** this study,cryl was cloned and identified in P ***,a cry1-knockout strain(Cry1-KO)of P xylostella with a 2-bp deletion was established from the strain Geneva 88(G88)using the CRISPR/Cas9 *** daily temporal os-cillation of cryl was observed in G88 and Cry1-KO,and cryl mean daily transcription of Cry1-KO was lower than that of *** G88 and Cry1-KO demonstrated rhythmic locomotion under the light/dark condition with Cryl-KO being more active than G88 in the daytime,whereas Cry1-KO completely lost rhythmicity under constant *** developmental period of pre-adult of Cry1-KO was longer than that of G88;the lifespan of the Cry1-KO male adult was shorter than that of G88;the fecundity of Cry1-KO was lower than that of G88;and Cry1-KO showed lower intrinsic rate of increase(r),net repro-duction rate(Ro),finite increase rate(a),and longer mean generation time(T)than *** results indicate that cryl is involved in the regulation of locomotor circadian rhythm and development in P xylostella,providing a potential target gene for controlling the pest and a basis for further investigation on circadian rhythms in lepidopterans.

Tight gas exploration plays an important part in China’s unconventional energy *** tight gas reservoirs in the Jurassic Shaximiao Formation in the Qiulin and Jinhua Gas Fields of central Sichuan Basin are characterized by shallow burial depths and large *** evolution of the fluid phases is a key element in understanding the accumulation of hydrocarbons in tight gas *** study investigates the fluid accumulation mechanisms and the indicators of reservoir properties preservation and degradation in a tight gas *** on petrographic observations and micro-Raman spectroscopy,pure CH4 inclusions,pure CO2 inclusions,hybrid CH4–CO2 gas inclusions,and N2-rich gas inclusions were studied in quartz *** pressure–volume–temperature–composition properties(PVT-x)of the CH4 and CO2 bearing inclusions were determined using quantitative Raman analysis and thermodynamic models,while the density of pure CO2 inclusions was calculated based on the separation of Fermi *** stages of CO2 fluid accumulation were observed:primary CO2 inclusions,characterized by higher densities(0.874–1.020 g/cm3)and higher homogenization temperatures(>210°C)and secondary CO2 inclusions,characterized by lower densities(0.514–0.715 g/cm3)and lower homogenization temperatures:~180–200°C).CO2 inclusions with abnormally high homogenization temperatures are thought to be the result of deep hydrothermal fluid *** pore fluid pressure(44.0–58.5 MPa)calculated from the Raman shift of C–H symmetric stretching(v1)band of methane inclusions is key to understanding the development of *** entrapment conditions and simulation of burial history can be used to constrain the timing of paleo-fluid *** accumulated in the late Cretaceous(~75–65 Ma),close to the maximum burial depth during the early stages of the Himalayan tectonic event while maximum overpressure occurred at~70 Ma,just before ***,hydrocarbon gas migrated through the fa

Construction and Resource Locating of Semantic P2P Grid Based on Description Logics

This paper proposes an algorithm applied in se mantic P2P network based on the description logics with the purpose for realizing the concepts distribution of resources, which makes the resources semantic locating easy. With the idea of the consistent hashing in the Chord, our algorithm stores the addresses and resources with the values of the same type to select instance. In addition, each peer has its own ontology, which will be completed by the knowledge distributed over the network during the exchange of CHGs （classification hierarchy graphs）. The hierarchy classification of concepts allows to find matching resource by querying to the upper level concept because the all concepts described in the CHG have the same root.

Preparation of Platinum Implanted Glassy Carbon Electrode and Electro-oxidation of Formic Acid and Formaldehyde

The glassy carbon substrates were bombarded with 5 X 10(17) ions/cm(2) of platinum. The surface composition of implanted electrode and concentration-depth profiles of various elements were measured by AES. The chemical state of Pt in glassy carbon electrode implanted with platinum (Pt/GC) was detected by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). The electro-oxidation of HCOOH and HCHO have been investigated on Pt/CC and smooth Pt electrodes. The results show that the platinum implanted into glassy carbon is much more active than the smooth platinum metal for electro-oxidation of HCOOH and HCHO.

Sum Frequency Spectroscopy Studies on Cell Membrane Fusion Induced by Divalent Cations

Cell membrane fusion is a fundamental biological process involved in a number of cellular living functions. Regarding this, divalent cations can induce fusion of the lipid bilayers through binding and bridging of divalent cations to the charged lipids, thus leading to the cell membrane fusion. However, the elaborate mechanism of cell membrane fusion induced by divalent cations is still needed to be ***, surface/interface sensitive sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy(SFG-VS) and dynamic light scattering(DLS) were applied in this research to study the responses of phospholipid monolayer to the exposure of divalent metal ions ***^(2+)and Mg^(2+). According to the particle size distribution results measured by DLS experiments, it was found that Ca^(2+)could induce inter-vesicular fusion while Mg^(2+)could not. An octadecyltrichlorosilane self-assembled monolayer(OTS SAM)-lipid monolayer system was designed to model the cell membrane for the SFG-VS experiment. Ca^(2+)could interact with the lipid POO_(2)^(-)head groups more strongly, resulting in cell membrane fusion more easily, in comparison with Mg^(2+). No specific interaction between the two metal cations and the C=O groups was observed. However, the C=O orientations changed more after Ca^(2+)-PO2-binding than Mg^(2+)mediation on lipid monolayer. Meanwhile, Ca^(2+)could induce dehydration of the lipids(which should be related to the strong Ca^(2+)-PO_(2)^(-)interaction), leading to the reduced hindrance for cell membrane fusion.

Numerical Study of Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Shell-and-Tube Molten Salt Electric Heater with Circularly Perforated Baffles

Numerical simulations of the flow and heat transfer characteristics of four shell-and-tube molten salt electric heaters with different perforation rates was ***-and-tube electric heaters have the same geometry and tube arrangement,and all of them use single segmental baffles,but there exist four different baffle openings（φ）,i.e.,0%,2.52%,4.06%,and 6.31%.The results indicated that the reasonable baffle opening could significantly reduce the shell-side pressure drop,effectively decreasing the shell-side flow dead zone *** can eliminate the local high-temperature phenomenon on the surface of electric heating tubes,but the heat transfer coefficient is slightly *** perforated schemes significantly reduce shell-side pressure drop compared to the baseline solution without open *** particular,the φ=6.31% scheme exhibits the optimal performance among all the schemes,with a maximum reduction of up to 50.50% in shell-side pressure drop relative to the unopened holes *** heat transfer coefficient is the highest for φ=0%,exhibiting a range of5.26% to 5.73%,5.14% to 5.99%,and 7.31% to 8.54% higher than φ=2.52%,4.06%,and 6.31%,respectively,within the calculated *** composite index h/（Δp）1/3was higher for all open-hole solutions than that for the unopened-hole *** best overall performance was for φ=6.31%,which improved the composite index by15.29% to 17.18% over the unopened-hole solution.

High-dense nanocrystalline W-based alloy prepared by hot isostatic pressing with uniform microstructure, ultrahigh hardness and good thermal stability

High-density uniform microstructure nanocrystalline W-10wt.% Cr-5wt.% Y（W-10Cr-5Y） alloy with an average grain size of 85 nm and a relative density of 99.8% was successfully prepared.W-Cr-Y alloys with different amounts of second-phase particles were prepared by high-energy ball milling and hot isostatic pressing *** effects of composition design,ball milling parameters,and sintering parameters on the microstructure of W-Cr-Y alloys were studied.A feasible technology for controlling the synthesis of high-density nanocrystalline W-based alloys has been *** microstructure analysis of nanocrystalline W-10Cr-5Y alloy shows that there are two types of doping in the second phase:intergranular doping and intragranular *** "uniform distribution YOx-rich particles" effectively suppresses the grain growth of W and leads to the formation of nanocrystalline W-10Cr-5Y alloy.W-10Cr-5Y has an ultra-high hardness,with a Vickers hardness of 1312±12 kgf·***-temperature annealing treatment shows that W-10Cr-5Y has good thermal stability at 1000 and1100℃,as demonstrated by the comparison of Vickers hardness and grain size between annealed and unannealed alloys.
