Cesarean delivery on maternal request and childhood intelligence： a cohort study

Background Cesarean section births have been steadily increasing over the past decade and have become an epidemic in China. Cesarean delivery on maternal request is a major contributor to this upward trend, and there has been of much concern about its impact on maternal and child health. Most of mothers believe that cesarean delivery on maternal request can improve the child＇s intelligence, but direct evidence is sparse. In this cohort study, we aimed to directly assess the impact of cesarean delivery on maternal request on childhood intelligence. Methods Intelligence quotient （IQ） of 4144 preschool children from 21 cities/counties of Zhejiang and Jiangsu province whose mothers were registered in a population-based perinatal surveillance program during 1993-1996 was assessed with Chinese Wechsler Young Children Scale of Intelligence （C-WYCSI） in 2000. The outcomes were full-scale IQ, verbal IQ, and performance IQ of C-WYCSI. Mode of delivery and covariates were obtained from the surveillance program. We estimated unadjusted and adjusted effects of cesarean delivery on maternal request and assisted vaginal delivery on IQ scores compared with spontaneous vaginal delivery using regression analysis. Results The mean full-scale, verbal, and performance IQ for all children was 99.3_＋16.1,93.6_＋17.7, and 105.3_＋14.3. In crude analysis, cesarean delivery on maternal request versus spontaneous vaginal delivery was associated with an increase of 3.9 （95% confidence interval, 0.6 to 7.2） points in full-scale IQ, 4.8 （1.2 to 8.4） points in verbal IQ, and 2.4 （-0.6 to 5.3） points in performance IQ. After adjusting for maternal education, occupation, and IQ, the advantage was reduced to 1.6 （-1.3 to 4.5）, 2.3 （-0.8 to 5.5）, and 0.6 （-2.0 to 3.3） points for full-scale, verbal, and performance IQ, respectively. Clinical application of Bushen Jianpi Gutai Decoction in threatened abortion

Objective:To discuss the clinical application of the"seven,five and three"odd-numbered law theory and analyze the effect on serum sex hormone ***:A total of 100 patients with early threatened abortion admitted from January 2021 to October 2021 were randomly divided into study group and control group,with 50 patients in each *** in the control group were treated with dydrogesterone tablets,while patients in the study group were treated with Bushen JianpiGutai Decoction combined with dydrogesterone *** efficacy and progesterone level before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups,as well as clinical symptom relief time of the two groups,including hemostasis time,abdominal pain relief time and lumbar acid relief time,and sex hormone level of the two groups were observed and ***:The clinical efficacy was significantly better than control patients(P0.05),significantly better than control patients(P<0.05),hemostasis,abdominal pain remission and waist acid remission were significantly shorter than control patients(P<0.05),and both significantly better sex hormone levels after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine has certain advantages in the treatment of threatened abortion,odd-numbered law theoryguidesthe regulation of Yin and Yang in the female menstrual cycle and reproductive function is mainly the regular change of Yin and *** the guidance of"seven,five,three"odd-numbered law theoryof Traditional Chinese medicine master Xia Guicheng,master the key date and the best time of its transformation,regulate Yin and Yang in the female body,to prevent the occurrence and development of menstrual diseases and adverse *** Jianpi Gutai decoction can effectively treat threatened abortion,significantly improve the clinical symptoms,improve the level of serum sex hormone,worthy of cli

Auricular acupoint application combined with Fujing prescription treatment for patients with premature ovarian failure

Background:To study the efficacy of Fujing prescription combined with auricular acupoint application in premature ovarian failure and its effect on hormone ***:From March 2018 to March 2020,100 patients with premature ovarian failure treated in our outpatient clinic were selected and randomly divided into a control group of 50 cases and a treatment group of 50 *** control group was treated with Femoston for 28 consecutive days,and the treatment group was treated with not only Femoston,but also Fujing prescription and auricular acupoint *** patients in the two groups were treated with a 3-month course of *** clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine integral,serum hormone level,immune index and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two ***:After treatment,the indexes of IgG,IgM and IgA in the treatment group were all increased(P<0.05 for all);compared with the control group,the incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Fujing prescription and auricular acupoint application in the treatment of premature ovarian failure can improve patients'clinical symptoms significantly,resulting in a decrease in follicle-stimulating hormone levels and an increase in estrogen *** combination of Fujing prescription and acupoint application has provided a clinical basis for the TCM treatment of premature ovarian failure.

The Janus fabrics designed for personal moisture/thermal regulation have garnered significant attention for their potential to enhance human ***,the development of smart and dynamic fabrics capable of managing personal moisture/thermal comfort in response to changing external environments remains a ***,a smart cellulose-based Janus fabric was designed to dynamically manage personal moisture/*** cotton fabric was grafted with N-isopropylacrylamide to construct a temperature-stimulated transport ***,hydrophobic ethyl cellulose and hydrophilic cellulose nanofiber were sprayed on the bottom and top sides of the fabric to obtain wettability *** fabric exhibits anti-gravity directional liquid transportation from hydrophobic side to hydrophilic side,and can dynamically and continuously control the transportation time in a wide range of 3–66 s as the temperature increases from 10 to 40℃.This smart fabric can quickly dissipate heat at high temperatures,while at low temperatures,it can slow down the heat dissipation rate and prevent the human from becoming too *** addition,the fabric has UV shielding and photodynamic antibacterial properties through depositing graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets on the hydrophilic *** smart fabric offers an innovative approach to maximizing personal comfort in environments with significant temperature variations.

Observation of topological charge transformations in acoustic vortex using passive periodic systems

Vortex transmutation utilizes a periodic system, which not only enables the alteration of the topological charge(TC) of unstable input vortices but also facilitates their transformation into stable structures. This approach is crucial for investigating the characteristics of vortices in various wave systems. Here, we achieve acoustic vortex TC transmutation by employing a welldesigned dual-structured plate external system(DPES). The interactions between the acoustic vortex and the finite-order discrete rotational symmetry lead to the transformation of its topological charge when complete rotational symmetry is broken to Nthorder discrete symmetry. Our results experimentally demonstrate the acoustic vortex TC transmutation based on passive artificial structures, enabling numerous applications in particle manipulation and information multiplexing as well as advancing our understanding and control over free-space acoustic vortices.

Solar-driven interface evaporation with high solar-to-steam conversion efficiency has shown great potential in seawater ***,due to the influence of latent heat and condensation efficiency,the water yield from solar-driven interface evaporation remains insufficient,posing a significant challenge that requires *** this work,we designed a dual-mode high-flux seawater desalination device that combines solar-driven interface evaporation and capacitive *** utilizing coupled desalination materials exhibiting both photothermal conversion and capacitance activity,the device demonstrated photothermal evaporation rates of 1.41 and 0.97 kg m-2h-1for condensate water yield under one-sun ***,the device exhibited a salt adsorption capacity of up to48 mg g-1and a salt adsorption rate of 2.1 mg *** addition,the salt adsorption capacity increased by approximately 32% under one-sun ***,photo-enhanced capacitive desalination performance was explored through numerical simulations and theoretical *** calculations and characterizations confirmed that the defect energy levels formed by the introduction of sulfur vacancies can effectively widen the light absorption range,improve photothermal conversion performance,and stimulate more photoelectrons to participate in capacitive ***,the electron distribution state of molybdenum disulfide with sulfur vacancies and surface defect sites contributes to ion/electron transport at the solid-liquid *** work provides a novel pathway for integrating solar vapor generation with other low-energy desalination technologies.

Herein, the de novo synthesis of atropisomeric benzofurans through the Cu/spirocyclic-pyrrolidine-oxazoline(SPDO) complex catalyze asymmetric formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition between quinones and ynamides is explored, producing a range of structurally diverse axially chiral benzofurans in satisfactory yields with good to excellent enantioselectivities. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations were applied to explain the possible reaction mechanism.
