Efficacy of Pudilan xiaoyan Oral Liquid in the treatment of pneumonia induced by drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Background:Pudilan xiaoyan Oral Liquid(PDL)is a Chinese patent medicine with notable pharmacological properties,including anti-inflammatory and antibacterial ***-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection is a common and refractory bacterial infection in clinical *** to its high drug resistance,it brings great challenges to *** study aimed to assess the therapeutic efficacy of PDL in a murine model of pneumonia induced by drug-resistant Pseudomonas ***:Three different doses of PDL(11 mL/kg/d,5.5 mL/kg/d,2.75 mL/kg/d)were used to observe lung tissue pathology and inflammatory cytokine levels in pneumonia mouse models induced by multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa(MDR-PA).Additionally,the protective efficacy of PDL against mortality in infected mice was evaluated using a death model caused by *** sub-MIC concentration of levofloxacin was used to induce drug-resistant mice pneumonia model to evaluate the role of PDL in reversing drug *** data are expressed as mean±standard *** significance was determined by one-way analysis of variance followed by Tukey’s multiple-comparisons ***:Treatment effect of PDL on MDR-PA pneumonia:the medium and small doses of PDL can significantly reduce the lung index of multi-drug resistant bacteria infected pneumonia model mice(P<0.05),the lung index inhibition rates for these groups were 55.09%and 58.43%,and improve the degree of lung tissue lesions of mice;The expression of serum cytokines keratinocyte chemoattractant,tumor necrosis factor-αand monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 could be decreased in the three dosage groups of PDL(P<0.01).PDL treatment not only lowered the mortality but also extended the survival duration in mice infected with *** was found after sub-MIC concentration of levofloxacin induced resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to pneumonia in *** with the model group,the lung index of mice in high

All-optical Quantitative Framework for Bioluminescence Tomography with Non-contact Measurement

In this contribution, we present an all-optical quantitative framework for bioluminescence tomography with non-contact measurement. The framework is comprised of four indispensable steps： extraction of the geometrical structures of the subject, light flux reconstruction on arbitrary surface, calibration and quantification of the surface light flux and internal bioluminescence reconstruction. In particular, the geometrical structures are retrieved using a completely optical method and captured under identical viewing conditions with the bioluminescent images. As a result, the proposed framework avoids the utilization of computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging to provide the geometrical structures. On the basis of experimental measurements, we evaluate the performance of the proposed all-optical quantitative framework using a mouse shaped phantom. Preliminary result reveals the potential and feasibility of the proposed framework for bioluminescence tomography.

Nonlocal coherence harvesting from quantum vacuum

It is well known that nonlocal coherence reflects nonclassical correlations better than quantum entanglement. Here, we analyze nonlocal coherence harvesting from the quantum vacuum to particle detectors adiabatically interacting with a quantum scalar field in Minkowski *** find that the harvesting-achievable separation range of nonlocal coherence is larger than that of quantum entanglement. As the energy gap grows sufficiently large, the detectors harvest less quantum coherence, while the detectors could extract more quantum entanglement from the vacuum state. Compared with the linear configuration and the scalene configuration, we should choose the model of equilateral triangle configuration to harvest tripartite coherence from the vacuum. Finally, we find a monogamous relationship, which means that tripartite l_(1)-norm of coherence is essentially bipartite types.

Towards green asphalt materials with lower emission of volatile organic compounds: A review on the release characteristics and its emission reduction additives

Recently, researchers in the road field are focusing on the development of green asphalt materials with loweremission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The characterization methodology of asphalt VOCs and theinfluencing factors on VOCs release have always been the basic issue of asphalt VOCs emission reduction *** have proposed a variety of asphalt VOCs characterization methodologies, which also have mutuallyirreplaceable characteristics. Asphalt VOCs volatilization is affected by many factors. In this study, asphalt VOCscharacterization methodologies were summarized, including their advantages, disadvantages, characteristics andapplicable requirements. Subsequently, the influencing factors of VOCs release, such as asphalt types and environment conditions, are summarized to provide theoretical support for the emission reduction research. Theclassification and mechanism of newly-development asphalt VOCs emission reduction materials are reviewed. Thereduction efficiencies are also compared to select better materials and put forward the improvement objective ofnew materials and new processes. In addition, the prospects about development of VOCs release mechanism ofasphalt materials during the full life cycle and feasibility research of high-efficiency composite emission reductionmaterials in the future were put forward.

Electronic Structure and Chemical Bond of Titanium Diboride
