The power conversion efficiency(PCE)of polymer solar cells(PSCs)has exceeded 19%due to the rapid progress of photoactive organic materials,including conjugated polymer donors and the matched non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs).Due to the high density of oxygen vacancies and the consequent photocatalytic reactivity of ZnO,structure inverted polymer solar cells with the ZnO electron transport layer(ETL)usually suffer poor device *** this work,the eco-friendly glucose(Glu)is found to simultaneously improve the efficiency and stability of polymer:NFA solar *** the optimal conditions,we achieved improved PCEs from 14.77%to 15.86%for the PM6:Y6 solar *** a PCE improvement was attributed to the improvement in J_(SC) and FF,which is ascribed to the smoother and more hydrophobic surface of the ZnO/Glu surface,thereby enhancing the charge extraction efficiency and inhibiting charge ***,UV-Vis absorption spectra analysis revealed that glucose modification could significantly inhibit the photodegradation of Y6,resulting in a significant improvement in the stability of the device with 92%of its initial PCE after aging for 1250 *** application of natural interface materials in this work brings hope for the commercial application of organic solar cells and provides new ideas for developing new interface materials.

Objective: To explore the ultrastructure characteristics of patients with dampness-heat of Pi(Spleen)-Wei(Stomach) syndrome(DHPW) and Pi-qi deficiency syndrome(PQD), both of which are Helicobacter pylori(Hp)-correlated gastric diseases(HPCG), and implicate a helpful hint for the clinical microcosmic syndrome differentiation. Methods: Fourteen gastric mucosa samples from 6 chronic gastritis(CG) and 6 active peptic ulcer(including 8 DHPW, 4 PQD) as well as 2 healthy volunteers were collected and tested for Hp infection. The ultrastructure of gastric mucosa was observed under the transmission electron microscope(TEM). Results: Among 14 gastric mucosa samples, 8 of them were Hp positive(6 DHPW and 2 PQD), which were all accordance with the results screened by supermicro-pathological method. Under TEM, the normal gastric mucosa, with tidy microvilli and abundant in mucus granules, mitochondria and rough endoplasmic reticulum distributed evenly, and with smooth nucleus membrane. But in those specimens of DHPW with Hp infection, microvilli were presented with burr shape. Especially, those samples from dampnessheat syndrome with predominant heat type(DHSH) patients were more obvious, with microvilli damaged, mitochondria concentrated and distributed in disorder, secretory tubule extended. In dampness-heat syndrome with predominant dampness type(DHSD) patients, mucus granules aggregated obviously, mitochondria swelled and blurred, and rough endoplasmic reticulum crowded. For 2 samples of DHPW without Hp infection, their microvilli were intact, with mitochondria increased and gathered but well-distributed, and secretory tubule extended mildly. In 2 PQD patients with Hp positive, the specimens of microvilli were sparse, and their mucus granules and mitochondria were decreased, with fractured crests and vacuole, secretory tubules extension to nucleus membrane, and rough endoplasmic reticulum extension in a pool-like way, and nucleus condensed. Synthesis of Novel Hydrophobic Media and Purification of Recombinant HBsAg

A novel hydrophobic medium with propyl as functional group and Sepharose 6B as matrix was designed and synthesized. The comparison of the hydrophobic medium synthesized with the commercial products was made by hydrophobic interaction chromatography(HIC) in isolating recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen(r HBsAg). r HBsAg was further purified to the final products by following a downstream procedure . The results indicate that the synthesized hydrophobic medium possesses a stable structure and desired physical and chemical properties. They were used to purify r HBsAg with a high yield and purity. Both the immunity and stability of hepatitis vaccine made by the r HBsAg products have reached the same level as other similar kinds of products.

碳量子点(CDs)具有特殊的光学性质和良好的生物相容性,是近几年科研领域一种热门的荧光纳米材料。该项目在科教融汇教学理念的指导下,将科研热点与本科实验教学相结合,探究了反应物配比、反应方式、反应时长、产物浓度、溶液pH等多项制备条件对碳点材料性能的影响。研究结果表明:采用尿素与柠檬酸为原材料,控制两者的配比为1∶3,微波高火反应2.5~4min或马弗炉200℃反应1.0h,均可获得荧光性能良好的碳点材料。在综合创新实验课堂中,学生在合成的碳点材料中引入淀粉基底,所得的淀粉基碳点荧光材料可应用于多场景的指纹提取。实验培养学生的创新与发散思维,增强学生在社会安全领域的参与感与社会责任感。

Prevalence and molecular characteristics of Listeria monocytogenes in cooked products and its comparison with isolates from listeriosis cases

This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and molecular characteristics ofListeria monocytogenes in cooked products in Zigong City, China. The overall occurrence of the L. monocytogenes in the ready-to-eat （RTE） shops and mutton restaurants surveyed was 16.2% （141/873）. An occurrence of 13.5% was observed in RTE pork, 6.5% in RTE vegetables, and more than 24.0% in either cooked mutton or cooked haggis. Serotype 1/2b （45.4%）, 1/2a （33.3%）, and 1/2c （14.2%） were the predominant types. By comparing the clonal complexes （CCs） based on multilocus sequence typing （MLST） of the L. monocytogenes from cooked foods in Zigong City and 33 listeriosis cases from different districts of China, CC87, CC9, CC8, and CC3 were showed to be prevalent in cooked products and CC87 and CC3 were the first two frequent types in the 33 clinic-source strains. All CC87 stains harbored the newly reported Listeria pathogenicity island 4 （LIPI-4） gene fragment ptsA, and all CC3 strains possessed the Listeria pathogenicity island 3 （LIPI-3） gene fragment llsX. These may increase the occurrence of the strains belonging to CC87 and CC3 in listeriosis cases in China and also underline the risk of infection owing to the consumption of the cooked products from Zigong. ST619 （serotype 1/2b） harbored both llsX and ptsA, indicating a potential hypervirulent sequence type in Zigong.

In this work,the air dielectric barrier discharge plasma was applied to a model of protein human serum albumin to explore plasma‐mediated protein damage from a biomolecular *** and side chain modifications of protein in solution were observed by Fourier transform infrared(FT‐IR)spectroscopy and mass spectrometry(MS).Protein backbone cleavage is proved by Bradford assay,sodium dodecyl sulphate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis,and *** fragments are in the range of 10–12 *** decrease inα‐helix and increase inβ‐sheet indicated by FT‐IR are major protein secondary structure ***,a whole map of protein oxidative damage and structural changes in response to the plasma was postulated.

Objective:To explore the effect of curcuminon the insulin receptor substrate1(IRS1)/phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K)/endometrial expression of glucose 4(GLUT4)signalling pathway and its regulator,phosphatase and tensin homolog(PTEN),in a rat model of polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS).Methods:PcoS model was induced by letrozole intragastric ***-Dawleyrats were randomized into 4groups according to a random number table:(1)control group;(2)PcoS group,which was subjected to PCOS and received vehicle;(3)curcumin group,which was subjected to PCoS and treated with curcumin(200 mg/kg for 2 weeks);and(4)curcumin+LY294002 group,which was subjected to PCOS,and treated with curcumin and LY294002(a specific PI3K inhibitor).Serum hormone levels(17β-estradiol,follicle stimulating hormone,luteinizinghormone,progesterone,and testosterone)were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbentassay,and insulin resistance(IR)was assessed using the homeostasismodel assessment of *** tissues were stained with haematoxylin and eosin for pathological and apoptosis *** levels of key transcriptional regulators and downstream targets,including IRS1,Pl3K,protein kinase B(AKT),GLUT4,and PTEN,were measured via reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Western blot,***:The Pcos group showed impaired ovarian morphology and *** with the PCoS group,curcumin treatment exerted ovarioprotective effects,down-regulated serum testosterone,restored IR,inhibited inflammatory cell infiltration in ovarian tissues,decreased IRS1,PI3K,and AKT expressions,and up-regulated GLUT4 and PTEN expressions in PCOS rats(P0.05).Conclusion:The beneficial effects of curcumin on PCOS rats included the alteration of serum hormone levels and recovery of morphological ovarian lesions,in which,PTEN,a new target

A sustainable solution to the dramatic spread of antibiotic resistance threatening public health security is the development of antibiotic-free antimicrobial substances. Inspired by natural host defense mechanisms involving amino-terminal copper–nickel binding motif (ATCUN) antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), we have designed and prepared an artificial complex (Cu@G-AMPs) incorporating single-atom Cu catalysts for antibacterial therapy. The substrate of the complex, formed from guanine doped with abundant heteroatoms, anchored single Cu atoms with a coordination number of 2 and an average bond length of 1.91 Å. Interestingly, Cu@G-AMPs, exhibiting Fenton-like catalytic activity, caused the inactivation of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) by generating and delivering reactive oxygen species (ROS) cargo. Mechanistically, the intrinsic stress response system of MRSA underwent an irreversible collapse when Cu@G-AMPs initiated its offensive program associated with non-specific targets. Furthermore, Cu@G-AMPs, which inherited the immunomodulatory properties of AMPs, sequentially carried out the functions of pulling edge closure, stabilizing granulation tissue, promoting collagen fiber proliferation, alleviating inflammation, and promoting neovascularization in wound areas infected by MRSA. Our results show that Cu@G-AMPs will provide a new perspective on untangling the complex regulatory networks that resistant bacteria have cultivated to deactivate commercial antibiotics. © 2024 THE AUTHORS
