Computed tomography radiogenomics:A potential tool for prediction of molecular subtypes in gastric stromal tumor

BACKGROUND Preoperative knowledge of mutational status of gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)is essential to guide the individualized precision *** To develop a combined model that integrates clinical and contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CE-CT)features to predict gastric GISTs with specific genetic mutations,namely KIT exon 11 mutations or KIT exon 11 codons 557-558 *** A total of 231 GIST patients with definitive genetic phenotypes were divided into a training dataset and a validation dataset in a 7:3 *** models were constructed using selected clinical features,conventional CT features,and radiomics features extracted from abdominal CE-CT *** models were developed:ModelCT sign,modelCT sign+rad,and model CTsign+rad+*** diagnostic performance of these models was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis and the Delong *** The ROC analyses revealed that in the training cohort,the area under the curve(AUC)values for model_(CT sign),model_(CT sign+rad),and modelCT_(sign+rad+clinic)for predicting KIT exon 11 mutation were 0.743,0.818,and 0.915,*** the validation cohort,the AUC values for the same models were 0.670,0.781,and 0.811,*** predicting KIT exon 11 codons 557-558 deletions,the AUC values in the training cohort were 0.667,0.842,and 0.720 for model_(CT sign),model_(CT sign+rad),and modelCT_(sign+rad+clinic),*** the validation cohort,the AUC values for the same models were 0.610,0.782,and 0.795,*** on the decision curve analysis,it was determined that the model_(CT sign+rad+clinic)had clinical significance and *** Our findings demonstrate that the combined modelCT_(sign+rad+clinic)effectively distinguishes GISTs with KIT exon 11 mutation and KIT exon 11 codons 557-558 *** combined model has the potential to be valuable in assessing the genotype of GISTs.

Prognostic significance of hemoglobin,albumin,lymphocyte,platelet in gastrointestinal stromal tumors:A propensity matched retrospective cohort study

BACKGROUND The combined index of hemoglobin,albumin,lymphocyte,and platelet(HALP)can reflect systemic inflammation and nutritional status simultaneously,with some evidence revealing its prognostic value for some ***,the effect of HALP on recurrence-free survival(RFS)in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)has not been *** To investigate the prognostic value of HALP in GIST *** Data from 591 untreated patients who underwent R0 resection for primary and localized GISTs at West China Hospital between December 2008 and December 2016 were *** data,preoperative albumin,blood routine information,postoperative treatment,and recurrence status were *** eliminate baseline inequivalence,the propensity scores matching(PSM)method was ***,the relationship between RFS and preoperative HALP was *** The optimal cutoff value for HALP was determined to be 31.5 by X-tile *** was significantly associated with tumor site,tumor size,mitosis,Ki67,National Institutes of Health(NIH)risk category,and adjuvant therapy(all P<0.001).Before PSM,GIST patients with an increased HALP had a significantly poor RFS(P<0.001),and low HALP was an independent risk factor for poor RFS[hazard ratio(HR):0.506,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.291-0.879,P=0.016].In NIH high-risk GIST patients,GIST patients with low HALP had a worse RFS than patients with high HALP(P<0.05).After PSM,458 GIST patients were identified;those with an increased HALP still had significantly poor RFS after PSM(P<0.001)and low HALP was still an independent risk factor for poor RFS(HR:0.558,95%CI:0.319-0.976,P=0.041).CONCLUSION HALP was significantly correlated with postoperative pathology and postoperative ***,HALP showed a strong ability to predict RFS in GIST patients who underwent radical resection.

An efficient parallel algorithm of variational nodal method for heterogeneous neutron transport problems

The heterogeneous variational nodal method(HVNM)has emerged as a potential approach for solving high-fidelity neutron transport ***,achieving accurate results with HVNM in large-scale problems using high-fidelity models has been challenging due to the prohibitive computational *** paper presents an efficient parallel algorithm tailored for HVNM based on the Message Passing Interface *** algorithm evenly distributes the response matrix sets among processors during the matrix formation process,thus enabling independent construction without *** the formation tasks are completed,a collective operation merges and shares the matrix sets among the *** the solution process,the problem domain is decomposed into subdomains assigned to specific processors,and the red-black Gauss-Seidel iteration is employed within each subdomain to solve the response matrix ***-to-point communication is conducted between adjacent subdomains to exchange data along the *** accuracy and efficiency of the parallel algorithm are verified using the KAIST and JRR-3 test *** results obtained with multiple processors agree well with those obtained from Monte Carlo *** parallelization of HVNM results in eigenvalue errors of 31 pcm/-90 pcm and fission rate RMS errors of 1.22%/0.66%,respectively,for the 3D KAIST problem and the 3D JRR-3 *** addition,the parallel algorithm significantly reduces computation time,with an efficiency of 68.51% using 36 processors in the KAIST problem and 77.14% using 144 processors in the JRR-3 problem.

The current gait planning for legged robots is mostly based on human presets,which cannot match the flexible characteristics of natural *** paper proposes a gait optimization framework for hexapod robots called Smart *** Gait contains three modules:swing leg trajectory optimization,gait period&duty optimization,and gait sequence *** full dynamics of a single leg,and the centroid dynamics of the overall robot are considered in the respective *** Smart Gait not only helps the robot to decrease the energy consumption when in locomotion,mostly,it enables the hexapod robot to determine its gait pattern transitions based on its current state,instead of repeating the formalistic clock-set step *** Smart Gait framework allows the hexapod robot to behave nimbly as a living animal when in 3D movements for the first *** Smart Gait framework combines offline and online optimizations without any fussy data-driven training procedures,and it can run efficiently on board in real-time after *** experiments are carried out on the hexapod robot *** results show that the energy consumption is reduced by 15.9%when in *** gait patterns can be generated spontaneously both in regular and challenge environments,and when facing external interferences.

DeepOCL:A deep neural network for Object Constraint Language generation from unrestricted nature language

Object Constraint Language(OCL)is one kind of lightweight formal specification,which is widely used for software verification and validation in NASA and Object Management Group *** OCL provides a simple expressive syntax,it is hard for the developers to write correctly due to lacking knowledge of the mathematical foundations of the first-order logic,which is approximately half accurate at the first stage of devel-opment.A deep neural network named DeepOCL is proposed,which takes the unre-stricted natural language as inputs and automatically outputs the best-scored OCL candidates without requiring a domain conceptual model that is compulsively required in existing rule-based generation *** demonstrate the validity of our proposed approach,ablation experiments were conducted on a new sentence-aligned dataset named *** experiments show that the proposed DeepOCL can achieve state of the art for OCL statement generation,scored 74.30 on BLEU,and greatly outperformed experienced developers by 35.19%.The proposed approach is the first deep learning approach to generate the OCL expression from the natural *** can be further developed as a CASE tool for the software industry.
