Electrocatalytic oxygen reduction(ORR)via the 2e−pathway to form H_(2)O_(2) in acidic medium has attracted extensive ***,the low activity,insufficient selectivity and high cost of catalysts have been the ***,CoSe_(2) with abundant Se deficiency was synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method,and the addition of NaBH4-induced CoSe_(2) phase transition from orthorhombic to cubic phase with more Se *** cubic phase CoSe_(2) with abundant Se deficiency can effectively regulate the surface electronic structure with suitable binding energies of*OOH and*O,which shows high activity,selectivity and long-term stability for acidic ORR to H_(2)O_(2).The onset potential is as low as 0.73 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE),the H_(2)O_(2) selectivity is 84%(0 V ***),and the average electron transfer number is about ***,the H_(2)O_(2) yield measured using a flow cell is as high as 115.92 mmol·gcat.^(−1)·h^(−1) and the Faradaic efficiency is 70%at 0 V ***,which presents high potential in electrocatalytic acidic ORR to H_(2)O_(2) and organic pollutant degradation using the electron-Fenton process.

First discovered in Wuhan, China, SARS-CoV-2 is a highly pathogenic novel coronavirus, which rapidly spreads globally and becomes a pandemic with no vaccine and limited distinctive clinical drugs available till March 13th, 2020. Ribonucleic Acid interference (RNAi) technology, a gene-silencing technology that targets mRNA, can cause damage to RNA viruses effectively. Here, we report a new efficient small interfering RNA (siRNA) design method named Simple Multiple Rules Intelligent Method (SMRI) to propose a new solution of the treatment of COVID-19. To be specific, this study proposes a new model named Base Preference and Thermodynamic Characteristic model (BPTC model) indicating the siRNA silencing efficiency and a new index named siRNA Extended Rules index (SER index) based on the BPTC model to screen high-efficiency siRNAs and filter out the siRNAs that are difficult to take effect or synthesize as a part of the SMRI method, which is more robust and efficient than the traditional statistical indicators under the same circumstances. Besides, to silence the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 to invade cells, this study further puts forward the SMRI method to search candidate high-efficiency siRNAs on SARS-CoV-2's S gene. This study is one of the early studies applying RNAi therapy to the COVID-19 treatment. According to the analysis, the average value of predicted interference efficiency of the candidate siRNAs designed by the SMRI method is comparable to that of the mainstream siRNA design algorithms. Moreover, the SMRI method ensures that the designed siRNAs have more than three base mismatches with human genes, thus avoiding silencing normal human genes. This is not considered by other mainstream methods, thereby the five candidate high-efficiency siRNAs which are easy to take effect or synthesize and much safer for human body are obtained by our SMRI method, which provide a new safer, small dosage and long efficacy solution for the treatment of COVID-19.

BACKGROUND Radical surgery is a common treatment for patients with gastric cancer;however,it can lead to postoperative complications and intestinal barrier ***-guided quadratus lumborum block is often used for postoperative analgesia,but its effects on stress response and intestinal barrier function are not well *** To investigate the effects of an ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block on stress response and intestinal barrier function in patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric *** A total of 100 patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric cancer were randomly categorized into observation and control *** adrenaline and cortisol levels,intestinal mucosal barrier indexes,and complication rates were compared between the two groups before,during,and 1 day after *** The observation group had significantly lower plasma adrenaline and cortisol levels during surgery and at 1 day postoperatively than that of the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,intestinal barrier indexes(endotoxin and D-dimer)at 1 day postoperatively were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block could reduce stress response,protect intestinal barrier function,and decrease the incidence of complications in patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric *** technique has the potential for clinical applications.

Recent researches in the development of in-plane micro-supercapacitor(MSC)have been dedicated to advancing its energy density in a finite storage ***,the low ion-accessible surface area of plane electrode material has been the bottleneck limiting the energy output of ***,we design a stable ionic liquid(IL)-MXene microemulsion system in virtue of tween-20(TW20),gathering IL-TW20 microdroplets around MXene *** microemulsion can adhere on the current collector and form the dense MXene-TW20-IL *** IL as spacer and electrolyte is retained in the interlamination of MXene with the elimination of the TW20 during heat treatment,which enlarges the ion-accessible surface area of the MXene ***,the MSC based on the flexible MXene-IL film exhibits a high areal capacitance(44.6 mF·cm^(−2)),a high areal and volumetric energy density(50.7μW·h·cm^(−2)and 39 mW·h·cm^(−3)),surpassing most of the reported MXene-based *** the MSC unit can be arbitrarily integrated in terms of various energy and voltage *** instance,the integrated array with thirty MSC units in series realizes a high voltage output of 90 V,widening the range of application in next-generation microelectronic devices.

Efficient and precise photon-number-resolving detectors are essential for optical quantum information *** this,very few detectors have been able to distinguish photon numbers with both high fidelity and a large dynamic range,all while maintaining high speed and high timing *** nanostrip-based detectors excel at counting single photons efficiently and rapidly,but face challenges in balancing dynamic range and ***,we have pioneered the demonstration of 10 true photon-number resolution using a superconducting microstrip detector,with readout fidelity reaching an impressive 98%and 90%for 4-photon and 6-photon events,***,our proposed dual-channel timing setup drastically reduces the amount of data acquisition by 3 orders of magnitude,allowing for real-time photon-number *** then demonstrate the utility of our scheme by implementing a quantum random-number generator based on sampling the parity of a coherent state,which guarantees inherent unbiasedness,robustness against experimental imperfections and environmental noise,as well as invulnerability to *** solution boasts high fidelity,a large dynamic range,and real-time characterization for photon-number resolution and simplicity with respect to device structure,fabrication,and readout,which may provide a promising avenue towards optical quantum information science.

Aging treatments are the key process to obtain satisfactory strength for 7xxxAl alloys and their composites. However, traditional single-stage（SS） aging is time-consuming to reach a peak strength condition. In this study, an efficient 120℃ + 160℃ two-stage（TS） aging treatment was proposed on a B4C/7A04Al composite fabricated via powder metallurgy（PM） technology, which could acquire similar peak-aging strength but only took about 15% of the time compared to traditional 120℃ SS aging. The evolution of precipitation during the TS aging was investigated, as well as those of the 7A04Al alloys for comparison. In the second stage aging process, the higher aging temperature accelerated the nucleation of η′ phases inside the grains and thus increased the density of precipitates. Moreover, the short aging time limited the coarsening of precipitates and the broadening of precipitatefree zones. The above factors were beneficial for quickly obtaining satisfactory precipitation strengthening effects. The B4C/7A04Al composite exhibited slower aging kinetics than the 7A04Al alloy in the TS aging. Mg elements consumption by the chemical reaction between B impurities introduced by B4C particles and the Al matrix was considered to potentially retard the aging kinetics of the B4C/7A04Al composite. Nevertheless, the precipitation sequence was not affected.

Weakly-solvated electrolytes(WSEs)utilizing solvents with weak coordination ability offer advantages for low-potential graphite anode owing to their facile desolvation process and anions-derived inorganic-rich solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)***,these electrolytes face challenges in achieving a balance between the weak solvation affinity and high ionic conductivity,as well as between rigid inorganic-rich SEI and flexible SEI for long-term ***,we introduce 1,3-dioxolane(DOL)and lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)-imide(LiTFSI)as functional additives into a WSE based on nonpolar cyclic ether(1,4-dioxane).The well-formulated WSE not only preserves the weakly solvated features and anion-dominated solvation sheath,but also utilizes DOL to contribute organic species for stabilizing the SEI *** from these merits,the optimized electrolyte enables graphite anode with excellent fast-charging performance(210 mAh/g at 5 C)and outstanding cycling stability(600 cycles with a capacity retention of 82.0%at room temperature and 400 cycles with a capacity retention of 80.4%at high temper-ature).Furthermore,the fabricated LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)||graphite full cells demonstrate stable operation for 140 cycles with high capacity retention of 80.3%.This work highlights the potential of tailoring solvation sheath and interphase properties in WSEs for advanced electrolyte design in graphite-based lithium-ion batteries.

The complex sand-casting process combined with the interactions between process parameters makes it difficult to control the casting quality,resulting in a high scrap rate.A strategy based on a data-driven model was proposed to reduce casting defects and improve production efficiency,which includes the random forest(RF)classification model,the feature importance analysis,and the process parameters optimization with Monte Carlo *** collected data includes four types of defects and corresponding process parameters were used to construct the RF *** results show a recall rate above 90% for all *** Gini Index was used to assess the importance of the process parameters in the formation of various defects in the RF ***,the classification model was applied to different production conditions for quality *** the case of process parameters optimization for gas porosity defects,this model serves as an experimental process in the Monte Carlo method to estimate a better temperature *** prediction model,when applied to the factory,greatly improved the efficiency of defect *** show that the scrap rate decreased from 10.16% to 6.68%.
