"Carbon peaking and carbon neutrality"is an essential national strategy,and the geological storage and utilization of CO_(2)is a hot issue ***,due to the scarcity of pure CO_(2)gas sources in China and the high cost of CO_(2)capture,CO_(2)-rich industrial waste gas(CO_(2)-rich IWg)is gradually emerging into the public's ***_(2)has good adsorption properties on shale surfaces,but acidic gases can react with shale,so the mechanism of the CO_(2)-rich IWg-water-shale reaction and the change in reservoir properties will determine the stability of geological ***,based on the mineral composition of the Longmaxi Formation shale,this study constructs a thermodynamic equilibrium model of water-rock reactions and simulates the regularity of reactions between CO_(2)-rich IWg and shale *** results indicate that CO_(2)consumed 12%after reaction,and impurity gases in the CO_(2)-rich IWg can be dissolved entirely,thus demonstrating the feasibility of treating IWg through water-rock *** IWg inhibits the dissolution of CO_(2),the optimal composition of CO_(2)-rich IWg is 95%CO_(2)and 5%IWg when CO_(2)geological storage is the main *** contrast,when the main goal is the geological storage of total CO_(2)-rich IWg or impurity gas,the optimal CO_(2)-rich IWg composition is 50%CO_(2)and 50%*** the CO_(2)-rich IWg-water-shale reaction,temperature has less influence on the water-rock reaction,while pressure is the most important ***2 has the greatest impact on water-rock reaction in *** minerals,clay minerals such as illite and montmorillonite had a significant effect on water-rock *** overall reaction is dominated by precipitation and the volume of the rock skeleton has increased by 0.74 cm3,resulting in a decrease in shale porosity,which enhances the stability of CO_(2)geological storage to some *** the reaction between CO_(2)-rich IWg-water-shale at simulated temperatures and pressures,precipitation

Climate change poses significant challenges to agricultural management, particularly in adapting to extreme weather conditions that impact agricultural production. Existing works with traditional Reinforcement Learning (RL) methods often falter under such extreme conditions. To address this challenge, our study introduces a novel approach by integrating Continual Learning (CL) with RL to form Continual Reinforcement Learning (CRL), enhancing the adaptability of agricultural management strategies. Leveraging the gym-DSSAT simulation environment, our research enables RL agents to learn optimal fertilization strategies based on variable weather conditions. By incorporating CL algorithms, such as Elastic Weight Consolidation (EWC), with established RL techniques like Deep Q-Networks (DQN), we developed a framework in which agents can learn and retain knowledge across diverse weather scenarios. The CRL approach was tested under climate variability to assess the robustness and adaptability of the induced policies, particularly under extreme weather events like severe droughts. Our results showed that continually learned policies exhibited superior adaptability and performance compared to optimal policies learned through the conventional RL methods, especially in challenging conditions of reduced rainfall and increased temperatures. This pioneering work, which combines CL with RL to generate adaptive policies for agricultural management, is expected to make significant advancements in precision agriculture in the era of climate change. © 2024 The Authors. Lung cancer is a malady of the lungs that gravely jeopardizes human ***,early detection and treatment are paramount for the preservation of human *** computed tomography(CT)image sequences can explicitly delineate the pathological condition of the *** meet the imperative for accurate diagnosis by physicians,expeditious segmentation of the region harboring lung cancer is of utmost *** utilize computer-aided methods to emulate the diagnostic process in which physicians concentrate on lung cancer in a sequential manner,erect an interpretable model,and attain segmentation of lung *** specific advancements can be encapsulated as follows:1)Concentration on the lung parenchyma region:Based on 16-bit CT image capturing and the luminance characteristics of lung cancer,we proffer an intercept histogram algorithm.2)Focus on the specific locus of lung malignancy:Utilizing the spatial interrelation of lung cancer,we propose a memory-based Unet architecture and incorporate skip connections.3)Data Imbalance:In accordance with the prevalent situation of an overabundance of negative samples and a paucity of positive samples,we scrutinize the existing loss function and suggest a mixed loss *** results with pre-existing publicly available datasets and assembled datasets demonstrate that the segmentation efficacy,measured as Area Overlap Measure(AOM)is superior to 0.81,which markedly ameliorates in comparison with conventional algorithms,thereby facilitating physicians in diagnosis.

As critical components of aircraft skins and rocket fuel storage tank shells,large thin-walled workpieces are susceptible to vibration and deformation during machining due to their weak local *** address these challenges,we propose a novel tunable electromagnetic semi-active dynamic vibration absorber(ESADVA),which integrates with a magnetic suction follower to form a followed ESADVA(follow-ESADVA)for mirror *** system combines a tunable magnet oscillator with a follower,enabling real-time vibration absorption and condition feedback throughout the milling ***,the device supports self-sensing and frequency adjustment by providing feedback to a linear actuator,which alters the distance between *** resolves the traditional issue of being unable to directly monitor vibration at the machining point due to space constraints and tool *** frequency shift characteristics and vibration absorption performance are comprehensively *** and experimental results demonstrate that the prototyped follow-ESADVA achieves frequency synchronization with the milling tool,resulting in a vibration suppression rate of approximately 47.57%.Moreover,the roughness of the machined surface decreases by18.95%,significantly enhancing the surface *** results of this work pave the way for higher-quality machined surfaces and a more stable mirror milling process.

Representing the next-generation technology in lithium-ion batteries,lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries offer increased specific energy without relying on scarce metals like nickel and cobalt,but suffer from a low practical specific energy due to poor conductivity and a short lifespan due to the shuttle effect of *** the confinement of polysulfides and the transport of lithium ions requires highly elaborate modifiers for *** multi-shelled structures(HoMSs)show promise as hierarchical mesostructures for separators,offering multiple shell layers and internal cavities that effectively inhibit polysulfide *** design of these structures is crucial to address these challenges *** this study,nitrogen-doped carbon HoMS(NC HoMS)was created using polymer templates through a precisely controlled polymerization *** featuring NC HoMS-modified separators exhibit improved capacity and cycling stability in comparison to those utilizing commercial ***,triple-shelled NC HoMS strikes a balance in polysulfide containment and lithium ion *** a sulfur loading of 6.34 mg/cm^(2),the Li-S battery can consistently complete 100 charge-discharge cycles,starting with a discharge capacity of 966.4 mA·h/g with a 75.8%capacity retention *** HoMS holds potential as the separator modifier in addressing the polysulfide shuttle problem and facilitating the Li-ion transportation for advanced Li-S batteries.
