Over-expression of Metastasis-associated in Colon Cancer-1 (MACC1) Associates with Better Prognosis of Gastric Cancer Patients

Objective： The aim of this study was to detect metastasis-associated in colon cancer-1 （MACC1） expression in Chinese gastric cancer and analyze the relationship between MACC1 expression and postoperative survival. Methods： The expression of MACC1 and c-MET protein in a sample of 128 gastric cancer tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry. A retrospective cohort study on the prognosis was carried out and data were collected from medical records. Results： The positive rate of MACC1 protein expression in gastric cancer was 47.66%, higher than that in adjacent noncancerous mucosa （P0.001）. MACC1 protein expression was not related to the clinicopathological variables involved. Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed that the survival of MACC1 positive group tended to be better than that of MACC1 negative group, particularly in patients with stage III carcinoma （P=0.032）. Cox regression analysis revealed that MACC1 protein over-expression in gastric cancer tended to be a protective factor with hazard ratio of 0.621 （P=0.057）. Immunohistochemical analysis showed that the positive rate of c-MET protein expression was much higher in cases with positive MACC1 expression in gastric cancer （P=0.002）, but P53 expression was not associated with MACC1 expression. Conclusion： MACC1 over-expression implies better survival and may be an independent prognostic factor for gastric cancer in Chinese patients.

将硅掺入羟基磷灰石(HA)晶格中能有效地提高HA的生物相容性。采用湿法合成了含硅羟基磷灰石微粉(Si-HA),用X射线荧光光谱(XRF)、X射线衍射(XRD)、红外光谱(FTIR)、扫描电镜(TEM)和荧光光谱等对Si-HA的晶相、结构、化学组成、形貌及其与牛血清白蛋白(BSA)的相互作用进行了表征和分析。结果表明:Si元素溶入磷灰石晶格中,使HA晶胞参数和结构发生变化,随着Si含量的增加,HA中-OH和PO43-的吸收峰呈减弱趋势,表明SiO44-可能部分取代了PO43-。Si-HA与BSA作用后的PO43-吸收峰发生变化,在Si-HA图谱中出现了蛋白质的酰胺Ⅰ带和酰胺Ⅱ带吸收峰,随着Si-HA与BSA作用时间由2h^3d的变化,BSA溶液酰胺I带位置出现蓝移,半峰宽减小且峰型变得尖锐,酰胺II带则向低频区移动。Si-HA与BSA作用3d后,开始在1139处出现PO43-的吸收峰。荧光光谱显示:加入相同质量的HA和Si-HA后蛋白质内源荧光强度较纯BSA溶液下降,随着Si-HA中Si质量分数的增加BSA荧光强度下降幅度增大,发射峰也出现红移,且Si-HA与BSA作用较纯HA与BSA的作用强,说明Si-HA使蛋白质二级结构发生改变,Si-HA中的Ca、PO43-、SiO44-与BSA之间发生了相互溶解、吸附和键合等作用,证明了Si-HA与生命物质蛋白质之间具有较高的反应性能,对Si-HA的生物活性及其与BSA相互作用的机理进行了详尽的阐述。

The analysis of the coupling mechanism of thermal-hydraulic-mechanical(THM)fields,and solid-liquidgas(SLG)phases during gas extraction process is of profound significance to explore its numerical application in the gas occurrence regularity and its effective extraction *** this study,the Hudi coal mine in Qinshui basin is taken as the research area,the influencing factors of gas occurrence were analyzed,the differences in overburden load for gas pressure distribution and the factors influencing the effective extraction radius were further discussed by using the COMSOL *** results show that the derivation of mathematical model in gas extraction shows that the process is a process the THM fields restrict each other,and the SLG phases influence each *** longer the extraction time,the larger the influencing range of borehole,and the better the extraction *** larger the diameter of borehole,the larger the effective extraction radius,and the influence on gas extraction effect is smaller in the early stage and larger in the late *** borehole arrangement should be flexibly arranged according to the actual extraction *** higher the porosity,the higher the permeability,the better the gas extraction *** larger the overburden load of reservoir,the stronger the effective stress,which will result in the more severe the strain,and the closure of pore and fracture,which in turn will lead to the decrease of permeability and slow down the gas *** relationship among extraction time,borehole diameter,negative pressure of gas extraction,permeability with effective extraction radius is *** study has important theoretical and practical significance for clarifying and summarizing the gas occurrence regularity and its engineering practice.

Revealing the oxidation behavior of superalloys is crucial for optimizing material properties and extending service *** study investigated the oxidation behavior of superalloy GH4738 under stress states at 850℃.High-throughput specimens were fabricated to withstand different stresses at the same *** oxidation s amples were analyzed using the mass gain method to obtain oxidation kinetic *** results show that the external stress below 200 MPa could improve the oxidation resistance of the *** tensile stress increasing,the oxide layer becomes thinner,denser and more complete,while internal oxidation *** tensile stress alters the structure of the external oxide layer from a two-layer to a threelayer *** Cr_(2)O_(3) oxide layer inhibits the outward diffusion of Ti,leading to Ti enrichment at the oxide-matrix interface and altering the oxidation mechanism of GH4738.

Constructing two-dimensional(2D)structures for transition-metal oxides(TMOs)can optimize their electronic structures and enable high specific surface areas,thereby offering routes to enhancing the performance of TMOs in energy storage and ***,most 2D TMOs,e.g.,Fe_(2)O^(3),remain so far synthetically challenging due to their intrinsic non-layered ***,inspired by the mechanism of biomineralization,we report the synthesis of CuO/Fe_(2)O^(3)hybrid ultrathin nanosheets by using polyvinylpyrrolidone-decorated CuO nanosheets as growth modifiers to modulate the hydrolysis process of Fe^(2+).The formulated“absorption-and-crystallization”two-step formation processes of such 2D hybrid structures accorded well with the biomineralization scheme in *** the in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)study,theoretical calculation,and control experiments,we validated that the large density of 2D/2D interfaces enabled by this bio-inspired synthesis process can overcome the self-stacking phenomenon during lithium-ion battery cycling,leading to their high operation *** work emphasizes the bio-inspired synthesis of 2D TMOs as a promising pathway toward material design and performance optimization.

Risk factors and predictive model of adrenocortical insuffi ciency in patients with traumatic brain injury

BACKGROUND:Neuroendocrine dysfunction after traumatic brain injury(TBI)has received increased attention due to its impact on the recovery of neural *** purpose of this study is to investigate the incidence and risk factors of adrenocortical insuffi ciency(AI)after TBI to reveal independent predictors and build a prediction model of AI after ***:Enrolled patients were grouped into the AI and non-AI *** preset impact factors were *** were regrouped according to each impact factor as a categorical *** and multiple logistic regression analyses were performed to screen the related independent risk factors of AI after TBI and develop the predictive ***:A total of 108 patients were recruited,of whom 34(31.5%)patients had *** factors(age,Glasgow Coma Scale[GCS]score on admission,mean arterial pressure[MAP],urinary volume,serum sodium level,cerebral hernia,frontal lobe contusion,diff use axonal injury[DAI],and skull base fracture)were probably related to AI after *** factors(urinary volume[X4],serum sodium level[X5],and DAI[X8])were independent variables,based on which a prediction model was developed(logit P=-3.552+2.583X4+2.235X5+2.269X8).CONCLUSIONS:The incidence of AI after TBI is *** such as age,GCS score,MAP,urinary volume,serum sodium level,cerebral hernia,frontal lobe contusion,DAI,and skull base fracture are probably related to AI after *** volume,serum sodium level,and DAI are the independent predictors of AI after TBI.

Transcriptional identification of differentially expressed genes associated with division of labor in Apis cerana cerana

Workers of Apis cerana cerana undergo an in-hive nursing to outdoor foraging transition,but the genes underlying this age-related transition remain largely ***,we sequenced the head transcriptomes of its 7-day-old normal nurses,18-and 22-day-old normal foragers,7-day-old precocious foragers and 22-day-old over-aged nurses to unravel the genes associated with this *** of the sequence reads to Apis mellifera genome showed that the three types of foragers had a greater percentage of reads from annotated exons and intergenic regions,whereas the two types of nurses had a greater percentage of reads from ***-and group-wise comparisons of the five transcriptomes revealed 59 uniquely expressed genes(18 in nurses and 41 in foragers)and 14 nurse-and 15 forager-upregulated *** uniquely expressed genes are usually low-abundance long noncoding RNAs,transcription factors,transcription coactivators,RNA-binding proteins,kinases or phosphatases that are involved in signaling and/or regulation,whereas the nurse-or forager-upregulated genes are often high-abundance downstream genes that directly perform the tasks of nurses or *** together,these results suggest that the nurse-forager transition is coordinated by a social signal-triggered epigenetic shift from introns to exons/intergenic regions and the resulting transcriptional shift between the nurse-and forager-associated genes.

Clustering-triggered Emission of Cellulose and Its Derivatives

In recent years, nonconventional luminogens free of aromatic groups have attracted extensive attention due to their academic importance and promising wide applications. Whilst previous studies generally focused on fluorescence from aliphatic amine or carbonylcontaining systems, less attention has been paid to room temperature phosphorescence(RTP) and the systems with predominant oxygen functionalities. In this work, photophysical properties of the polyhydroxy polymers, including microcrystalline cellulose(MCC), 2-hydroxyethyl cellulose(HEC), hydroxypropyl cellulose(HPC), and cellulose acetate(CA), were studied and compared. While MCC,HEC, and HPC solids showed bright emission alongside distinct RTP, CA demonstrated relatively low intensity of solid emission without noticeable RTP. Their emissions were explained in terms of the clustering-triggered emission(CTE) mechanism and conformation rigidification. Additionally, on account of its intrinsic emission, concentrated HEC aqueous solution could be used as the probe for the detection of 2,4,6-trinitrophenol(TNP).
