Chromosome-level assembly of triploid genome of Sichuan pepper(Zanthoxylum armatum)

As an important spice species in Rutaceae, the Sichuan pepper (Zanthoxylum armatum) can provide pungent and numbing taste, as well as aroma in its mature fruit. Here we assembled a chromosome-level genome of green prickly ash which was widely cultivated in a major production area including Chongqing and Sichuan province, China. We generated 712 Gb (~112×) PacBio long reads and 511 Gb (~82×) Hi-C data, and yielded an assembly of 99 pseudochromosomes with total size of 5.32 Gb and contig n50 of 796 kb. The genomic analyses and cytogenetic experiments both indicated that the cultivarZhuye Huajiao’ was a triploid. We identified a Zanthoxylum-specific whole genome duplication event emerging about 24.8 million years ago (Mya). We also detected a transposition burst event (0.3-0.4 Mya) responsible for the large genome size of Z. armatum. Metabolomic analysis of the Zanthoxylum fruits during development stages revealed profiles of39 volatile aroma compounds and 528 secondary metabolites, from which six types of sanshools were identified. Based on metabolomic and transcriptomic network analysis, we screened candidate genes encoding long chain acyl-CoA synthetase, fatty acid desaturase,branched-chain amino acid aminotransferase involved in sanshool biosynthesis and three genes encoding terpene synthase during fruit development. The multi-omics data provide insights into the evolution of Zanthoxylum and molecular basis of numbing and aroma flavor of Sichuan pepper.

Covalent organic framework/carbon black/molecularly imprinted polydopamine composites for the selective recognition and electrochemical detection of ciprofloxacin

In this work， a novel electrochemical sensor based on covalent organic framework@carbon black@molecularly imprinted polydopamine （COF@CB@MPDA） was developed for selective recognition and determination of ciprofloxacin （CF）. COF@CB@MPDA possessed good water dispersibility and was synthesized by the self-polymerization of dopamine under alkaline conditions in the presence of the COF， CB and CF. The high surface area COF enhanced the adsorption of CF， whilst CB gave the composites high electrical conductivity to improve the sensitivity of the proposed COF@CB@MPDA/GCE sensor. The specific recognition of CF by COF@CB@MPDA involved hydrogen bonding and van der Waals interactions. Under optimized conditions， the sensor showed a good linear relationship with CF concentration over the range 5.0 × 10-7mol/L and 1.0 × 10-4mol/L， with a limit of detection （LOD） of 9.53 × 10-8mol/L. Further， the developed sensor exhibited high selectivity， repeatability and stability for CF detection in milk and milk powders. The method used to fabricate the COF@CB@MPDA/GCE sensor could be easily adapted for the selective recognition and detection of other antibacterial agents and organic pollutants in the environment.

Bifunctional ZrO@ZIF-90 nanozyme with high phosphohydrolase activity for sensitive electrochemical detection of methyl parathion

In this work， a novel bifunctional zirconium dioxide @ zeolitic imidazolate framework-90 (ZrO2@ZIF-90) nanozyme was successfully developed for the catalytic degradation and electrochemical detection of methyl parathion (MP). The ZrO2@ZIF-90 nanozyme with phosphatase hydrolysis activity can convert MP into p-nitrophenol (p-nP). The addition of ZrO2riched in Lewis acid Zr(IV) sites significantly enhanced the phosphatase hydrolysis activity of ZIF-90. ZrO2@ZIF-90 also displayed satisfactory electrocatalytic performance on account of the high surface area， high porosity and powerful enrichment ability of the ZIF-90 and the excellent ion transfer capacity of ZrO2. A ZrO2@ZIF-90 nanozyme modified glassy carbon electrode (ZrO2@ZIF-90/GCE) was then fabricated to analyze p-nP formed through MP degradation. Under the optimized conditions， the developed sensor displayed satisfactory analytical performance with a low limit of detection of 0.53 μmol L-1and two wide linear ranges (3-10 μmol L-1and 10-200 μmol L-1). ZrO2@ZIF-90 nanozyme accomplished to the degradation and electrochemical detection of MP in river water and spiked fruits. This study identifies a promising new strategy for the design of bifunctional nanozymes for the detection of environmental hazards.

Analysis of risk factors of suicidal ideation in adolescent patients with depression and construction of prediction model

Photoinduced Bending and Curling Motions in Molecular Microcrystals of naphthyl Meldrum's Acid Derivative Based on E-to-Z Photoisomerization

Dynamic photoresponsive molecular crystals are promising candidates for making intelligent devices and materials in the future. Here, we synthesized a new photoactive molecule (E)-2,2-dimethyl-5-[3-(naphthalen-1-yl)allylide]-1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione [(E)-DnADD] that undergoes an E-to-Z photoisomerization in both liquid solution and solids when exposed to visible light (405 nm). Compared to the bulk crystals, the photoresponsive behavior in microcrystals was profoundly improved. Highly crystalline (E)-DnADD microplate crystals exhibit robust motions, including bending, curling, and coiling under light irradiation. The photoproduct conversion of the photochemical reaction in the microplate is no more than 20%, while the large bending curvature of the coiled illuminated samples was estimated at approximately 150-300 mm(-1), comparable to some photoactive nanowires. Our results indicate that shrinking crystal dimensions can boost the photoresponses in molecular crystals and provide a facile strategy for developing dynamic molecular crystals at the microscopic scale.

Molecular dynamics simulation study of nitrogen vacancy color centers prepared by carbon ion implantation into diamond

nitrogen vacancy(nV)color centers in diamond have useful applications in quantum sensing andﬂuorescent *** can be gen-erated experimentally by ion implantation,femtosecond lasers,and chemical vapor ***,there is a lack of studies of the yield of nV color centers at the atomic *** the molecular dynamics simulations described in this paper,nV color centers are pre-pared by ion implantation in diamond with pre-doped nitrogen and subsequent *** differences between the yields of nV color centers produced by implantation of carbon(C)and nitrogen(n)ions,respectively,are *** is found that C-ion implantation gives a greater yield of nV color centers and superior location *** effects of different pre-doping concentrations(400–1500 ppm)and implantation energies(1.0–3.0 keV)on the nV color center yield are analyzed,and it is shown that a pre-doping concentra-tion of 1000 ppm with 2 keV C-ion implantation can produce a 13%yield of nV color centers after 1600 K annealing for 7.4 ***,a brief comparison of the nV color center identiﬁcation methods is presented,and it is found that the error rate of an analysis utiliz-ing the identify diamond structure coordination analysis method is reduced by about 7%compared with conventional identiﬁcation+methods.

Sol-gel borate bioactive glasses(BGs)are promising ion-releasing biomaterials for wound healing ***,we report the synthesis of a series of binary B_(2)O_(3)-CaO borate BGs(CaO ranging from 50 to 90mol%)using a sol-gel-based *** influence of CaO content in B_(2)O_(3)-CaO borate BG on morphology,structure and ion release behavior was investigated in *** dissolution(ion release)and crystallization could be observed in borate BGs when CaO content increased,while the morphology was not significantly altered by increasing CaO *** results evidenced that the ion release behavior of borate BGs could be tailored by tuning the B_(2)O_(3)/CaO molar *** also evaluated the in vitro cytotoxicity,hemostatic,antibacterial and angiogenic activities of borate *** was validated for all borate ***,borate BGs exhibited composition-dependent hemostatic,antibacterial and angiogenic ***,higher contents of Ca in borate BGs facilitated hemostatic activity,while higher contents of B_(2)O_(3) were beneficial for pro-angiogenic *** synthesized sol-gel-derived borate BGs are promising materials for developing advanced wound healing dressings,given their fast ion release behavior and favorable hemostatic,antibacterial and angiogenic activities.

The classical Ambarzumyan’s theorem states that if the neumann eigenvalues of the Sturm-Liouville operator-d^(2)/dx^(2)+q with an integrable real-valued potential q on[0,π] are {n^(2):n≥0},then q=0 for almost all x∈[0,π].In this work,the classical Ambarzumyan’s theorem is extended to the Dirac operator on equilateral tree *** prove that if the spectrum of the Dirac operator on graphs coincides with the unperturbed case,then the potential is identically zero.

The burgeoning field of soft bioelectronics heralds a new dawn in medical treatment for neurological and psychiatric conditions,presenting innovative methods for the stimulation,inhibition,and precise sensing of neuronal *** to these advancements is the challenge of power supply;devices dependent on traditional batteries face limitations regarding miniaturization and require invasive surgeries for battery *** nanogenerators(TEnGs),which generate power from biomechanical movements,offer a promising solution for developing self-powered neurostimulation devices without the need for an external power *** review delves into recent progress in TEnGs,with a focus on their application in selfpowered neurostimulation *** utility of TEnGs across various nervous systems—including the center,autonomic,and somatic nervous systems—is explored and presented,highlighting the potential for these devices to facilitate neurological *** summarizing TEnGs’operational details and the potential for clinical translation,this review also identifies challenges associated with the implantation and integration of neural electrodes and presents recent advances in solutions,aiming to reshape electric treatments for neurological diseases.
