Attention-Based CNN Fusion Model for Emotion Recognition During Walking Using Discrete Wavelet Transform on EEG and Inertial Signals

Walking as a unique biometric tool conveys important information for emotion recognition.Individuals in different emotional states exhibit distinct walking patterns.For this purpose,this paper proposes a novel approach to recognizing emotion during walking using electroencephalogram(EEG)and inertial signals.Accurate recognition of emotion is achieved by training in an end-to-end deep learning fashion and taking into account multi-modal fusion.Subjects wear virtual reality head-mounted display(VR-HMD)equipment to immerse in strong emotions during walking.VR environment shows excellent imitation and experience ability,which plays an important role in awakening and changing emotions.In addition,the multi-modal signals acquired from EEG and inertial sensors are separately represented as virtual emotion images by discrete wavelet transform(DWT).These serve as input to the attention-based convolutional neural network(CNN)fusion model.The designed network structure is simple and lightweight while integrating the channel attention mechanism to extract and enhance features.To effectively improve the performance of the recognition system,the proposed decision fusion algorithm combines Critic method and majority voting strategy to determine the weight values that affect the final decision results.An investigation is made on the effect of diverse mother wavelet types and wavelet decomposition levels on model performance which indicates that the 2.2-order reverse biorthogonal(rbio2.2)wavelet with two-level decomposition has the best recognition performance.Comparative experiment results show that the proposed method outperforms other existing state-of-the-art works with an accuracy of 98.73%.

Rapid Unconscious Acquisition of Conditioned Fear with Low-Spatial-Frequency but Emotionally Neutral Stimuli

It has long been proposed that emotionally“prepared”(i.e.,fear-related)stimuli are privileged in the unconscious acquisition of conditioned fear.However,as fear processing is suggested to highly depend on the coarse,low-spatial-frequency(LSF)components of the fear-related stimuli,it is plausible that LSF may play a unique role in the unconscious fear conditioning even with emotionally neutral stimuli.Here,we provided empirical evidence that,following classical fear conditioning,an invisible,emotionally neutral conditioned stimulus(CS+)with LSF,but not with high spatial frequency(HSF),can rapidly elicit stronger skin conductance responses(SCRs)and larger pupil diameters than its CS−counterpart.In comparison,consciously perceived emotionally neutral CS+with LSF and HSF elicited comparable SCRs.Taken together,these results support that the unconscious fear conditioning does not necessarily entail emotionally prepared stimuli but prioritizes LSF information processing and highlight the crucial distinctions between the unconscious and the conscious fear learning.These findings not only coincide with the postulation that a rapid,spatial-frequency-dependent subcortical route is engaged in unconscious fear processing but also suggest the existence of multiple routes for conscious fear processing.

Fixed-time synchronization(FTS)of delayed memristor-based neural networks(MNNs)with discontinuous activations is studied in this paper.Both continuous and discontinuous activations are considered forMNNs.And the mixed delays which are closer to reality are taken into the system.Besides,two kinds of control schemes are proposed,including feedback and adaptive control strategies.Based on some lemmas,mathematical inequalities and the designed controllers,a few synchronization criteria are acquired.Moreover,the upper bound of settling time(ST)which is independent of the initial values is given.Finally,the feasibility of our theory is attested by simulation examples.

经口内镜食管下括约肌切开术气体相关并发症的危险因素分析及预测模型建立

目的:分析贲门失弛缓症(achalasia,AC)患者行经口内镜食管下括约肌切开术(peroral endoscopic myotomy,POEM)过程中出现气体相关并发症的危险因素,构建POEM气体相关并发症列线图预测模型。方法:回顾性分析2012年1月至2022年12月于陆军军医大学第一附属医院行POEM的AC患者的临床资料。将纳入病例随机分为建模组(146例)和验证组(37例)。基于建模组单因素与多因素分析筛选出气体相关并发症的危险因素,建立列线图预测模型。结果:在183例接受POEM的AC患者中,有91例(49.73%)出现气体相关并发症。单因素分析中肌切开长度、Eckardt评分、手术时间、高血压、肌层切开方式、既往史、血清肌酐、血小板和血清尿素氮为出现气体相关并发症的影响因素(P2 h(OR=2.03,95%CI:1.06~3.87,P=0.032)、肌切开长度>10 cm(OR=7.55,95%CI:3.09~18.45,P<0.001)、肌层切开方式为全层切开(OR=4.61,95%CI:1.50~14.20,P=0.008)、Eckardt评分为2或3级(OR=6.14,95%CI:2.73~13.80,P<0.001)、高血压(OR=22.69,95%CI:2.71~189.74,P=0.004)、既往行手术治疗(OR=5.27,95%CI:1.57~17.66,P=0.007)和血清尿素氮升高(OR=1.21,95%CI:1.01~1.45,P=0.036)为POEM出现气体相关并发症的独立危险因素。将以上独立危险因素纳入建立预测模型,模型在建模组和验证组的受试者工作特征曲线下面积分别为0.833和0.912。校准曲线、临床决策曲线、Hosmer-Lemeshow检验结果显示该模型具有良好的预测能力。结论:利用手术时间、肌切开长度、肌层切开方式、高血压、既往史、Eckardt评分和血清尿素氮构建的模型在预测行POEM出现气体相关并发症方面具有良好的预测能力,可指导临床。

Composition and emission dynamics of migratory locust volatiles in response to changes in developmental stages and population density

Chemical communication plays an important role in density-dependent phase change in locusts. However, the volatile components and emission patterns of the migratory locust, Locusta migratoria, are largely unknown. In this study, we identified the chemical compositions and emission dynamics of locust volatiles from the body and feces and associated them with developmental stages, sexes and phase changes. The migratory locust shares a number of volatile components with the desert locust （Schistocerca gregaria）, but the emission dynamics of the two locust species are significantly different. The body odors of the gregarious nymphs in the migratory locust consisted of phenylacetonitrile （PAN）, benzaldehyde, guaiacol, phenol, aliphatic acids and 2,3-butanediol, and PAN was the dominant volatile. Volatiles from the fecal pellets of the nymphs primarily consist of guaiacol and phenol. Principal component analysis （PCA） showed significant differences in the volatile profiles between gregarious and solitary locusts. PAN and 4-vinylanisole concentrations were significantly higher in gregarious individuals than in solitary locusts. Gregarious mature males released significantly higher amounts of PAN and 4-vinylanisole during adulthood than mature females and immature adults of both sexes. Furthermore, PAN and 4-vinylanisole were completely lost in gregarious nymphs during the solitarization process, but were obtained by solitary nymphs during gregarization. The amounts of benzaldehyde, guaiacol and phenol only unidirectionally decreased from solitary to crowded treatment. Aliphatic aldehydes （C7 to C10）, which were previously reported as locust volatiles, are now identified as environmental contaminants. Therefore, our results illustrate the precise odor profiles of migratory locusts during developmental stages, sexes and phase change. However, the function and role of PAN and other aromatic compounds during phase transition need further investigation.

目的采用meta分析评估^(68)Ga-成纤维细胞活化蛋白抑制剂(FAPI)PET与^(18)F-FDG PET显像诊断胃肠道恶性肿瘤及其转移灶的价值。方法检索并筛选PubMed、Embase、Web of Science和Cochrane Library自建库至2023年4月11日收录的关于对比^(68)Ga-FAPI PET与^(18)F-FDG PET显像诊断胃肠道恶性肿瘤及转移价值的文献并提取相关数据,以Stata 16.0及Review Manager 5.3.5软件进行数据分析。结果共纳入9篇文献、370例胃肠道恶性肿瘤患者,其中62例伴淋巴转移、29例伴肝转移、17例伴骨转移、50例伴腹膜转移。^(68)Ga-FAPI PET显像在患者及病灶层面诊断胃肠道恶性肿瘤原发灶、淋巴结转移及腹膜转移的敏感度均高于^(18)F-FDG PET(P均0.05)。结论 ^(68)Ga-FAPI PET显像诊断胃肠道恶性肿瘤及转移的价值优于^(18)F-FDG PET。

Set stability for switched Boolean networks with open-loop and closed-loop switching signals

This paper mainly analyzes the set stability of switched Boolean networks(SBNs) by considering two different methods of switching signals in the form of open-loop and closed-loop switching. First, the definitions of set stability are proposed for SBNs with such switching signals. Then, we propose two different algorithms to find the largest open-loop switching invariant set and largest closed-loop switching invariant set. Furthermore, the corresponding set stability conditions for SBNs are given in each case. In addition,the constructive procedures are presented to design the switching signal sequence to achieve set stability under the two different methods of switching signals. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms and research results are demonstrated using two numerical examples.

目的探究早期胃癌淋巴结转移的相关因素,分析腹腔镜D2根治术与内镜黏膜下剥离术(endoscopic submucosal dissection, ESD)的临床疗效差异。方法采用回顾性队列研究方法,选择2018年6月至2022年6月于我院进行手术治疗的404例早期胃癌患者作为研究对象,根据手术方法的不同将患者分为腹腔镜组(271例)和ESD组(133例)。比较不同临床特征患者的淋巴结转移情况,多因素Logistic回归分析影响早期胃癌患者淋巴结转移的因素;统计符合ESD绝对适应证和扩大适应证患者的淋巴结转移率;Kaplan-Meier法比较早期胃癌患者ESD与腹腔镜D2根治术的远期疗效;采用分层回归分析探索早期胃癌患者手术方式与远期疗效间的关系。结果 404例早期胃癌患者中,淋巴结转移率为12.38%(50/404)。单因素分析结果显示,合并溃疡、肿瘤病理类型、病理分化程度等7个临床特征与淋巴结转移有关;多因素Logistic回归分析结果显示,肿瘤分化程度为低分化、肿瘤浸润深度为SM是影响早期胃癌淋巴结转移的相关因素;404例患者总体生存率为96.29%(389/404),腹腔镜组生存率(96.31%)与ESD组生存率(96.24%)差异无统计学意义;符合ESD绝对适应证而行腹腔镜D2根治术与ESD治疗的5年生存率分别为96.00%和96.55%,差异无统计学意义;符合ESD扩大适应证而行腹腔镜D2根治术与ESD治疗的5年生存率分别为94.74%和91.67%,差异无统计学意义。经分层回归分析调整病变大小、病理分化程度、肿瘤浸润深度等临床特征后,早期胃癌患者手术方式与远期疗效依然相关(β=1.173,P=0.003)。结论肿瘤浸润深度、分化程度与早期胃癌患者淋巴结转移密切相关。符合ESD绝对适应证和扩大适应证患者行腹腔镜D2根治术与ESD治疗的效果相当。
