With the growing concern about the water environment,the advanced oxidation process of persulfate activation assisted by photocatalysis has attracted considerable attention to decompose dissolved organic *** this work,to overcome the drawbacks of the photocatalytic activity reduction caused by the photo-corrosion of non-stoichiometric BiO_(2–x),a novel material with amorphous FeOOH in situ grown on layered BiO_(2–x) to form a core-shell structure similar to popcorn chicken-like morphology was produced in two simple and environmentally beneficial *** a series of degradation activity tests of hybrid materials under different conditions,the as-prepared materials exhibited remarkable degradation activity and stability toward tetracycline in the FeOOH@BiO_(2–x)/Vis/PS system due to the synergism of photocatalysis and persulfate *** results of XRD,SEM,TEM,XPS,FTIR,and BET show that the loading of FeOOH increases the specific surface area and active sites appreciably;the heterogeneous structure formed by FeOOH and BiO_(2–x) is more favorable to the effective separation of photogenerated *** optimal degradation conditions were at a catalyst addition of 0.7 g·L^(–1),a persulfate concentration of 1.0 g·L^(–1),and an initial pH of 4.5,at which the degradation rate could reach 94.7%after 90 *** influence of typical inorganic anions on degradation was also *** studies and radical quenching experiments revealed that·OH,SO_(4)^(-)·,and·O_(2)^(-)were the principal active species generated during the degradation of *** results of the 1,10-phenanthroline approach proved that the effect of dissolved iron ions on the tetracycline degradation was limited,and the interfacial reaction that occurs on the active sites on the material's surface was a critical *** work provides a novel method for producing efficient broad-spectrum Bismuth-based composite photocatalysts and photocatalytic-activated persulfate synerg

Two-dimensional bipolar magnetic semiconductors with high Curie-temperature and electrically controllable spin polarization realized in exfoliated Cr(pyrazine)_(2) monolayers

Exploring two-dimensional(2D)magnetic semiconductors with room-temperature magnetic ordering and electrically controllable spin-polarization is a highly desirable but challenging task for ***,through first-principles calculations,we propose to realize such a material by exfoliating the recently synthesized organometallic layered crystal li0.7[Cr(pyz)_(2)]Cl0.7·0.25(THF)(pyz=pyrazine,THF=tetrahydrofuran).The feasibility of exfoliation is confirmed by the rather low exfoliation energy of 0.27 J m^(−2),even smaller than that of *** exfoliated Cr(pyz)_(2)monolayers,each pyrazine ring grabs one electron from the Cr atom to become a radical anion,and then a strong d-p direct-exchange magnetic interaction emerges between Cr cations and pyrazine radicals,resulting in room-temperature ferrimagnetism with a Curie temperature of 342 ***,the Cr(pyz)_(2)monolayer is revealed to be an intrinsic bipolar magnetic semiconductor where electrical doping can induce half-metallic conduction with controllable spin-polarization direction.

Real-time interactive motion control of virtual human in virtual maintenance based on limited information

In order to provide a simple and efficient approach to perform the real-time interactive motion control of virtual human in virtual maintenance environment(VME),the motion control method of virtual human based on limited input information is *** the space position tracking system with only one sensor the action sequences and motion models of virtual human,the human motions and hand actions in VME are driven by the sensor data in stages and in real time through the transmission condition control in the process of maintenance *** the input data and information is processed based on the method of Kalman filtering and wavelet transforming to improve the control *** experimental VME is also established to validate the control efficiency,and the experiment results show that the space motion control of virtual human in VME can be performed based on limited information with proposed control strategy.

Modeling and simulation methods of sea clutter based on measured data

The modeling and simulation of sea clutter are important in detecting radar targets in sea *** the nonstationary property of sea clutter is ignored in traditional statistical models,a new method based on measured sea clutter is proposed in this ***,we convert the measured sea clutter data under different sea conditions[xI,xQ]into real amplitude *** phaseθis then extracted from the coherent radar’s baseband ***,we select a candidate statistic model and estimate its parameters based on SM by utilizing maximum likelihood ***,we generate random series A using corresponding random data generator and then add instantaneous phaseθinto A,i.e.,y=Ae^(jθ),to obtain simulated sea clutter *** a comparison of simulated sea clutter and measured sea clutter data via histogram,the validity of the proposed method is proved.

In the second near-infrared channel(NIR-II, 1000–1700 nm), organic and inorganic fluorophores are designed with superior chemical/optical properties to provide real-time information with deeper penetration depth and higher resolution owing to the innate lower light scattering and absorption of the NIR-II imaging than conventional optical imaging. Among them, the small-molecule based fluorophores have been highlighted due to their desirable biocompatibility and favorable pharmacokinetics. In this review, we introduced the latest research progress of the rational design of small-molecule NIR-II fluorophores and their impressively biological applications including the NIR-II signal imaging,multimodal imaging and theranostic.

A volume-amending method to improve mass conservation of level set approach for incompressible two-phase flows

A volume-amending method is developed both to keep the level set function as an algebraic distance function and to preserve the bubble mass in a level set approach for incompressible two-phase flows with the significantly deformed free interface. After the traditional reinitialization procedure, a vol-ume-amending method is added for correcting the position of the interface according to mass loss/gain error until the mass error falls in the allowable range designated in advance. The level set approach with this volume-amending method incorporated has been validated by three test cases: the motion of a single axisymmetrical bubble or drop in liquid, the motion of a two-dimensional water drop falling through the air into a water pool, and the interactional motion of two buoyancy-driven three- dimensional deformable bubbles. The computational results with this volume-amending method in-corporated are in good agreement with the reported experimental data and the mass is well preserved in all cases.

High toughness and CMAS resistance of REAlO_(3)/RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)(RE=La,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,and Dy)composites with eutectic composition for thermal barrier coatings

Although rare earth zirconates(RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7))have garnered attention as viable candidates for thermal barrier coatings(TBCs),they suffer from low fracture toughness and accelerated calcium–magnesium–alumina–silicate(CMAS)melt corrosion at high service temperatures,which impedes their practical *** this work,we developed a series of REAlO_(3)/RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)(RE=La,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,and Dy)composites with a eutectic composition that not only significantly enhanced the fracture toughness by more than 40%relative to that of RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)but also exhibited improved resistance to CMAS *** increase in toughness arises from multiple mechanisms,such as ferroelastic toughening,fine-grain strengthening,and residual stress toughening,all of which trigger more crack defects and energy ***,the CMAS penetration depth of the REAlO_(3)/RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)composites is approximately 36%lower than that of RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7).Al–O constituents in composites can capture CaO,SiO_(2),and MgO in CMAS melts and increase their viscosity,resulting in enhanced CMAS corrosion *** thermophysical properties of the REAlO_(3)/RE_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7)composites were also investigated,and their coefficient of thermal expansion and thermal conductivity are comparable to those of 7–8 wt%Y_(2)O_(3)partially stabilized ZrO2(YSZ),indicating their potential as TBC materials.

Influence of pH on properties of Mn-Zn ferrites synthesized from low-grade manganese ore

Mn-Zn ferrite powders were produced from low-grade manganese ore(LMO) via the chemical coprecipitation method combined with the ceramic method,after the LMO was leached in sulfuric acid and the obtained solution was *** effect of the pH on the magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite was investigated by the varying pH of the co-precipitation *** crystal structure and phases of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and infrared spectrum,*** magnetic measurements were carried out on a vibrating sample *** optimal sample was obtained with a saturation magnetization of 55.02 emu/g,a coercivity of 8.20 G and a remanent magnetization of1.71 emu/g when pH is 7.5.
