Risk Factors of Depression Screened by Two-Sample Mendelian Randomization Analysis:A Systematic Review

Objective This study explored the potentially modifiable factors for depression and major depressive disorder(MDD)from the MR-Base database and further evaluated the associations between drug targets with *** We analyzed two-sample of Mendelian randomization(2SMR)using genetic variant depression(n=113.154)and MDD(n=208,811)from Genome-Wide Association Studies(GWAS).Separate calculations were performed with modifiable risk factors from MR-Base for 1,001 *** MR analysis was performed by screening drug targets with MDD in the DrugBank database to explore the therapeutic targets for *** variance weighted(IVW),fixed-effect inverse variance weighted(FE-IVW),MR-Egger,weighted median,and weighted mode were used for complementary *** The potential causal relationship between modifiable risk factors and depression contained 459 results for depression and 424 for ***,the associations between drug targets and MDD showed that SLC6A4,GRIN2A,GRIN2C,SCN10A,and IL1B expression are associated with an increased risk of *** contrast,ADRB1,CHRNA3.HTR3.,GSTP1,and GABRG2 genes are candidate protective factors against *** This study identified the risk factors causally associated with depression and MDD,and estimated 10 drug targets with significant impact on MDD,providing essential information for formulating strategies to prevent and treat depression.

MOF‐derived 1D/3. N‐doped porous carbon for spatially confined electrochemical CO2 reduction to adjustable syngas

Electrochemical reduction of CO_(2)to syngas(CO and H_(2))offers an efficient way to mitigate carbon emissions and store intermittent renewable energy in ***,the hierarchical one‐dimensional/three‐dimensional nitrogen‐doped porous carbon(1D/3. NPC)is prepared by carbonizing the composite of Zn‐MOF‐74 crystals in situ grown on a commercial melamine sponge(MS),for electrochemical CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).The 1D/3. NPC exhibits a high CO/H_(2)ratio(5.06)and CO yield(3. mmol g^(−1)h^(−1))at−0.55 V,which are 13.7 times and 21.4 times those of 1D porous carbon(derived from Zn‐MOF‐74)and N‐doped carbon(carbonized by MS),*** is attributed to the unique spatial environment of 1D/3. NPC,which increases the adsorption capacity of CO_(2)and promotes electron transfer from the 3. N‐doped carbon framework to 1D carbon,improving the reaction kinetics of CO_(2)*** results and charge density difference plots indicate that the active site of CO_(2)RR is the positively charged carbon atom adjacent to graphitic N on 1D carbon and the active site of HER is the pyridinic N on 1D *** presence of pyridinic N and pyrrolic N reduces the number of electron transfer,decreasing the reaction kinetics and the activity of CO_(2)*** CO/H_(2)ratio is related to the distribution of N species and the specific surface area,which are determined by the degree of spatial confinement *** CO/H_(2)ratios can be regulated by adjusting the carbonization temperature to adjust the degree of spatial confinement *** the low cost of feedstock and easy strategy,1D/3. NPC catalysts have great potential for industrial application.

Electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate(NO_(3.^(−))and nitride(NO_(2)^(−))to ammonia(NH3.is of wide interest as a promising alternative to the energy-intensive Haber-Bosch route for mitigating the vast energy consumption and the accompanied carbon dioxide emission,as well as benefiting for the relevant sewage ***,exploring an efficient and low-cost catalyst with high atomic utilization that can effectively facilitate the slow multi-electron transfer process remains a grand ***,we present an efficient hydrogenation of NO_(3.^(−)/NO_(2)^(−)species to NH3.in both alkaline and neutral environments over the Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3.derived hybrid electrocatalyst with the metallic Fe site on FeMoO_(4)(Fe/FeMoO_(4)).The Mo ingredient can play a synergistically positive role in further promoting the NH_(3. production on *** a result,Fe/FeMoO_(4)behaves well in the electrochemical NH_(3. generation from NO_(2)^(−)with a maximum NH_(3. Faradaic efficiency(FE)of 96.53.and 87.68%in alkaline and neutral electrolyte,corresponding to the NH_(3. yield rate of 640.68 and 3.2.56 mg·h^(−1)·mg_(cat.)^(−1),respectively,which outperforms the Fe and Mo counterpart and other similar catalyst,showing the robust catalytic capacity of each active site.

Advancements in genomics have dramatically accelerated the research on medicinal plants,and the development of herbgenomics has promoted the“Project of 1K Medicinal Plant Genome”to decipher their genetic ***,it is difficult to obtain their high-quality whole genomes because of the prevalence of polyploidy and/or high genomic *** genomes of 123.medicinal plants were published until September *** published genome sequences were investigated in this review,covering their classification,research teams,ploidy,medicinal functions,and sequencing *** than 1,000 institutes or universities around the world and 50 countries are conducting research on medicinal plant *** species account for a majority of sequenced medicinal *** whole genomes of plants in the Poaceae family are the most *** 40%of the published papers studied species with tonifying,replenishing,and heat-cleaning medicinal *** plants are still in the process of domestication as compared with crops,thereby resulting in unclear genetic backgrounds and the lack of pure lines,thus making their genomes more difficult to *** addition,there is still no clear routine framework for a medicinal plant to obtain a high-quality whole ***,a clear and complete strategy has been originally proposed for creating a high-quality whole genome of medicinal ***,whole genome-based biological studies of medicinal plants,including breeding and biosynthesis,were *** also advocate that a research platform of model medicinal plants should be established to promote the genomics research of medicinal plants.

Plutonium utilization in a small modular molten-salt reactor based on a batch fuel reprocessing scheme

A molten salt reactor(MSR)has outstanding features considering the application of thorium fuel,inherent safety,sustainability,and resistance to ***,fissile material^(23.)U is significantly rare at the current stage,thus it is difficult for MSR to achieve a pure thorium-uranium fuel ***,using plutonium or enriched uranium as the initial fuel for MSR is more *** this study,we aim to verify the feasibility of a small modular MSR that utilizes plutonium as the starting fuel(SM-MSR-Pu),and highlight its advantages and ***,the structural design and fuel management scheme of the SM-MSR-Pu were ***,the neutronic characteristics,such as the graphite-irradiation lifetime,burn-up performance,and coefficient of temperature reactivity were calculated to analyze the physical characteristics of the *** results indicate that plutonium is a feasible and advantageous starting fuel for a SM-MSR;however,there are certain shortcomings that need to be *** a 250 MWth SM-MSR-Pu,approximately 288.64 kg^(23.)U of plutonium with a purity of greater than 90% is produced while 978.00 kg is burned every ten *** temperature reactivity coefficient decreases from -4.0 to -6.5 pcm K^(-1) over the 50-year operating time,which ensures a long-term safe ***,the amount of plutonium and accumulation of minor actinides(MAs)would increase as the burn-up time increases,and the annual production and purity of^(23.)U will *** achieve an optimal burn-up performance,setting the entire operation time to 3. years is ***,more than 3.00 kg of plutonium eventually accumulate in the *** research is required to effectively utilize this accumulated plutonium.

Molecular quantification of herbs(Herb-Q):a pyrosequencingbased approach and its application in Pinellia ternata

A Hf-doped dual-phase high-entropy alloy: phase evolution and wear features

Initially defined high entropy alloys(HEAs)usually exhibit a single-phase solid-solution ***,two and/or more types of phases in HE As possibly induce the desired microstructure features,which contribute to improving the wear properties of HE ***,we prepare a series of(AlCoCrFeNi)_(100-x)Hf_(x)(x=0,2,4and 6;at%) HEAs and concern their phase compositions,micro structures and wear *** leads to the formation of(Ni,Co)_(2)Hf-type Laves phase and tailors the microstructure from a body-centered cubic(BCC) singlephase structure to a hypoeutectic *** increased hardness from~HV 512.3.to~HV 73..1 is due to solid-solution strengthening,grain refinement strengthening and precipitated phase *** a few oxides(Al_(2)O_(3.+Cr_(2)O_(3.) caused by the wear heating contribute to an 85.5% decrease in wear rate of the HEA system from6.71×10^(-5) to 0.97×10^(-5) m^(3.·N^(-1)·m^(-1).In addition,Hf addition changes the wear mechanism from abrasive wear,mild oxidative wear and adhesive wear to oxidative wear and adhesive wear.

Tailoring the alloy composition,which induces the hard secondary phase to increase hardness and strength to improve the wear features,is a feasible approach for developing wear-resistant metal ***,a group of(AlCoCrFeNi)_(100–x)Sc_(x)(x=0–2.0,at%)high-entropy alloys(HEAs)are designed and the phase compositions and wear behaviors are ***-doped HEA series contain the primary body-centered cubic(BCC)and eutectic phases,in which the eutectic phase is composed of the alternately grown BCC and Laves *** addition promotes the diffusion of Ni atoms from BCC phase to form the Sc-rich Laves phase at the grain *** hardness increases due to solid solution strengthening and second phase *** the second phase strengthening plays a more significant role relative to solid solution *** phase and the oxides caused by wear heating prevent the direct contact between friction pair and HEAs,thus inducing a decreased wear rate from 6.82×10^(−5) to 3.47×10^(−5)m^(3.·N^(−1)·m^(−1).Moreover,the wear mechanism changes from adhesive wear,abrasive wear and oxidative wear to abrasive wear and oxidative wear.

Comparison of thermal shock resistance capabilities of the rotary swaged pure tungsten,potassium-doped tungsten,and W-La2O3.alloys

Tungsten-based materials are one of the most important candidates for the plasma facing materials（PFMs） of future fusion reactors,and it is necessary to study the properties of tungsten-based materials under the service conditions of fusion devices to ensure the long-term steady-state operation of future fusion *** this paper,different tungsten-based materials made by the same rotary swaging process are selected to simulate the transient thermal loads on the PFMs of a fusion reactor using an electron beam,and thermal load experiments are carried out by changing the power density of a loading pulse and the pulse *** is found that different tungsten-based materials made by the same process have large differences in thermal shock resistance,and the doped tungsten materials（W-K and W-La2O3. are significantly better than the pure tungsten materials with the increase in thermal shock power density and the number of cycles,especially the W-K materials,which have excellent performance.
