Objective:To evaluate the effect and safety of foot baths with Tangbi Waixi Decoction(TW)in treating patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods:It is a multicenter double-blinded randomized controlled *** with DPN were recruited between November 18,2016 and May 30,2018 from 8 hospitals in *** patients received basic treatments for glycemic *** received foot baths with TW herbal granules either 66.9 g(intervention group)or 6.69 g(control group)for 30 min once a day for 2 weeks and followed by a 2-week rest,as a therapeutic *** the Toronto Clinical Scoring System total score(TCSS-TS)6 points,the patients received a total of 3 therapeutic courses(for 12 weeks)and were followed up for 12 *** primary outcome was change in TCSS-TS score at 12 and 24 *** outcomes included changes in bilateral motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV)of the median and common peroneal *** was also ***:Totally 632 patients were enrolled,and 317 and 315 were randomized to the intervention and control groups,*** the 12-week intervention,patients in both groups showed significant declines in TCSSTS scores,and significant increases in MNCV and SNCV of the median and common peroneal nerves compared with pre-treatment(P0.05),and no serious adverse event was related with ***:Treatment of TW foot baths was safe and significantly benefitted patients with DPN.A low dose of TW appeared to be more effective than a high dose.(Registry *** CTR-IOR-16009331)

Neutron-sensitive microchannel plates(nMCPs)have applications in neutron detection,including energy spectrum measurements,neutron-induced cross sections,and neutron imaging.10B-doped MCPs(B-MCPs)have attracted significant attention owing to their potential for exhibiting a high neutron detection efficiency over a large neutron energy *** spatial and temporal resolutions are useful for neutron energy-resolved ***,their practical applications still face many technical *** this study,a B-MCP with 10 mol%10B was tested for its response to wide-energy neutrons from eV to MeV at the Back-n white neutron source at the China Spallation Neutron *** neutron detection efficiency was calibrated at 1 eV,which is approximately 300 times that of an ordinary MCP and indicates the success of 10 B *** factors that caused the reduction in the detection efficiency were simulated and *** neutron energy spectrum obtained using B-MCP was compared with that obtained by other measurement methods,and showed very good consistency for neutron energies below tens of *** response is more complicated at higher neutron energy,at which point the elastic and nonelastic reactions of all nuclides of B-MCP gradually become *** is beneficial for the detection of neutrons,as it compensates for the detection efficiency of B-MCP for high-energy neutrons.

AIM： To evaluate the effects of osthole on fatty liver, and investigate the possible mechanism. METHODS： A quail model with hyperlipidemic fatty liver and rat model with alcoholic fatty liver were set up by feeding high fat diet and alcohol, respectively. These experimental animals were then treated with osthole 5-20 mg/kg for 6 wk, respectively. Whereafter, the lipid in serum and hepatic tissue, and coefficient of hepatic weight were measured. RESULTS： After treatment with osthole the levels of serum total cholesterol （TC）, triglyceride （TG）, lower density lipoprotein-cholesterol （LDL-C）, coefficient of hepatic weight, and the hepatic tissue contents of TC and TG were significantly decreased. The activity of superoxide dismutase （SOD） in liver was improved. In alcohol-induced fatty liver rats, the level of malondialdehyde （MDA） in liver was decreased. In high fat-induced fatty liver quails, glutathione peroxidase （GSH-PX） in liver was significantly improved. The histological evaluation of liver specimens demonstrated that the osthole dramatically decreased lipid accumulation. CONCluSION： These results suggested that osthole had therapeutic effects on both alcohol and high fatinduced fatty liver. The mechanism might be associated with its antioxidation.

In general, low density lipoprotein (LDL), particularly oxidized-LDL, plays an important role in the occurrence and development of lipid-rich atheromatous plaque,~1 and the consequence is basis for plaque instability, rupture, and further complications.~ 2,3 And a high LDL-triglyceride level was related to progression of coronary atherosclerosis,~4 and the increments of serum triglyceride (TG) and LDL-triglyceride were risk factors for coronary artery disease.~ 5,6 Therefore, lipid-modifying therapy may have a beneficial effect on the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis and its complications.~ 7,8 Because it is difficult to isolate and purify LDL, there are few data on total cholesterol (TC) and TG in LDL and consequently there is little information on the relationship between the lipid profile and levels of TC and TG in LDL. Xiaoyu tablet, a compound prepared from Chinese herbal medicines, consists of Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae and Fructus Crataegi extracts. Our previous studies have demonstrated that the drug possesses the regulation of blood lipid and regression of atherosclerosis.~ 9-12 In this study, we observed the effects of Xiaoyu tablet on blood lipid, lipoproteins, and levels of TC and TG in LDL in atherosclerotic hyperlipidemic rabbits, and analysed their correlation and clinical significance.

以赞皇县反向嫁接的酸枣叶为原料,通过单因素试验和响应面法优化嫁接酸枣叶总黄酮的提取工艺,并对不同品种酸枣不同部位的总黄酮含量进行测定。结果表明:嫁接酸枣叶总黄酮的最优提取工艺为提取时间20 min、提取温度46℃、乙醇体积分数72%、料液比1∶27(g/mL)。在此条件下,总黄酮含量为10.79 mg/g。不同品种相同部位中总黄酮含量显著差异(P<0.05),其中嫁接酸枣各个部位的总黄酮含量均为最高。

基于密度泛函理论体系下的广义梯度近似(GGA),采用第一性原理方法探讨了沿[112]晶向的硅锗异质结纳米线作为气体传感器检测CO,CO_(2)和Cl2的能力,着重计算了其吸附气体分子前后的吸附能、能带结构与光学性质.几何结构优化计算表明:不同硅锗组分的[112]晶向的硅锗纳米线对CO,CO_(2)和Cl_(2)分子的吸附能的绝对值在0.001 eV至1.36 eV之间,其中Si_(24)Ge_(36)H_(32)对CO_(2)气体的吸附能最大,气敏性能最好.能带结构计算表明:吸附CO和CO_(2)分子的[112]晶向硅锗纳米线能带的简并度明显减小,带隙变化较小;而吸附Cl2分子后的价带顶与导带底之间产生了杂质能级使其带隙减小.光学性质计算表明:Si_(24)Ge_(36)H_(32)纳米线吸附CO, CO_(2)和Cl_(2)分子后的光学性质差异明显,主要体现在吸收谱的范围及吸收峰的峰值上,上述研究结果为[112]晶向Si_(24)Ge_(36)H_(32)纳米线可作为气体传感器敏感材料提供了一定的理论依据.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.
