We evaluated and ran simulations for seven proposals for the reduction of global CO2 emissions (e.g.,those of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC),United Nations Development Program,and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).All the proposals ignored the fact that the cumulative CO2 emissions per capita for developed countries were 7.54 times those for developing countries in the historical period of *** proposals further deliberately allocate 2006-2050 emission quotas to developed countries that are 2.3-6.7 times those to developing *** will seriously violate the development rights of developing *** paper clearly states that proposals such as that of the IPCC are not suitable references for future international climate change negotiations as they violate the fundamentals of fairness and equity in international relationships and the UNFCCC principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities".Comparing estimates of emissions in china in the scenario of rapid development with low-CO2-emission technology in the period 2006-2050 with estimates for other countries and groups,we find that china can logically and morally argue for equivalent emission rights even in the case of the strict CO2 concentration target of 450-470 ppmv.

The transformation and implementation of clinical practice guidelines for integrated traditional chinese medicine(TCM)and Western medicine(WM)is crucial to the adoption of medical science and technological findings and is an important way for TCM to be made available to the ***,clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)of TCM and WM integration in recent years was analyzed to clarify the current situation and problems in the existing guidelines according to the following four perspectives:(1)perspective of TCM and WM integration in guidelines,(2)diagnosis Using integrated TCM and WM,(3)integration of TCM and WM treatment,(4)promoting TCM and WM ***,the information and quality evaluation of CPGs for integrated chinese and Western medicine in 2020–2022 were analyzed to explore the degree and methods of integration of chinese and Western medicine *** last this study aimed to lay a foundation for the further establishment of chinese characteristic,repeatable,and calculable clinical practice guidelines of TCM and WM integration.

Developmental sequence of Cambrian embryo Markuelia

Based on more exquisitely preserved specimens of Markuelia hunanensis recently recovered from Middle and Upper Cambrian in western Hunan and in the light of Synchrotron radiation X-ray tomo-graphic microscopy, the developmental sequence from cleavage through organogenesis to the pre-hatching of Cambrian embryo Markuelia, especially the developmental sequence during the pre-hatching stage, i.e. from the earliest period when the scalids and tail spines only took shape to the latest period (just about hatching), is established. This developmental sequence provides a pattern of embryonic development during the pre-hatching stage, which has not been established in the living scalidophorans (priapulids, loriciferans and kinorhynchs). Thus, it not only enriches our knowledge on the embryonic development of the extant descendants of Markuelia, but also opens a new window to the evolution and development of the animal.

Climate as the dominant control on C_3 and C_4 plant abundance in the Loess Plateau: Organic carbon isotope evidence from the last glacial-interglacial loess-soil sequences

Abundance of C3 and C4 photosynthesis plants can be inferred relatively from stable carbon isotopic composi-tion of organic matter in soils. The samples from five sequences of the last glacial-interglacial loess-soil in the chinese Loess Plateau have been measured for organic carbon isotopic ratios (d 13Corg). The organic carbon isotope data show that relative abundance (or biomass) of C4 plants was increased ca. 40% for each sampling site from the last glacial maximum (LGM) to Holocene optimum, and increased southeastward on the Loess Plateau during both periods of LGM and Holocene. Statistic analyses on the steady maximum d 13Corg values of Holocene soils and modern climatic data from the Loess Plateau and Inner Mongolia indicate that the C4 plant abundance increases with increasing temperature and decreasing precipitation. The C4 plant abundance is related much closer with mean April tem-perature and precipitation than annual. These results lead us to deduce following conclusions. First, temperature is the major factor for control on variations in C4 plant abundance in the Loess Plateau from the last glacial to interglacial. In the absence of favorable temperature condition, both of low moisture and low atmospheric CO2 concentration are insufficient to drive an expansion of the C4 plants in the plateau. Second, d 13Corg in the loess-paleosol sequences, as a proxy of the relative abundance of C4 plants in the Loess Plateau, could not be used as an indicator of changes in the summer monsoon intensity unless the tem-perature had changed without great amplitude. Since all C4 plants are grasses, finally, the increase of the C4 plants supports that forest has not been dominant in the ecosystem on the Loess Plateau during Holocene although precipitation and atmospheric CO2 were largely increased relative to those during LGM.

CENOZOIC COLLISIONAL DEFORMATION AND LITHOSPHERE TECTONIC EVOLUTION OF THE EASTERN HIMALAYAN SYNTAXIS

The Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis (EHS) is one of the strongest deformation area along the Himalayan belt resulted from the collision between Indian plate and the Eurasian plate since 50～60Ma, and has sensitivity tracked and preserved the whole collisional processes. It should depend on the detail geological investigations to establish the deformational accommodate mode, and the uplift history, to elucidate the deep structure and the crust\|mantle interaction of the EHS. The Namjabarwa metamorphic complex indented into the Gangdise arc along the sinistral Pai shear fault and the dextral Aniqiao shear fault on the both sides of the Great Canyon of Yalung Zangbo river since the collision of the NE corner of the Indian plate and the Eurasian Plate at 60～70Ma [1] . The distance between Yarlung Zangbo suture and Bangong—Nujiang suture is shortened more 120km in the EHS area than that of the Lhasa block.

Sand samples deposited since the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM) from the Hulun Buir,Horqin and Otindag sandlands were measured for their assemblages of heavy minerals and chemical compositions of detrital garnets and *** mineral assemblages of these three sandlands consist mainly of garnet,ilmenite,epidote and minor amphibole and *** consist mainly of high Mg type-A ones(58%on average),and minor type-B *** are mainly composed of Mg-rich and minor Fe-rich *** with those of central-southern Mongolia and central Tarim,these three sandlands are derived from the Phanerozoic rocks of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt and the Archean and Paleoprotorozoic basement rocks of the North china *** results provide direct evidence that the present-day sands may be reworked from LGM *** of heavy mineral compositions occur between the samples of the three sandlands and Taklimakan Desert,indicating that the material of the western arid regions contributes little to the eastern sandlands.

Black phosphorus with a superior theoretical capacity(2596 mAh g^(-1))and high conductivity is regarded as one of the powerful candidates for lithium-ion battery(LIB)anode materials,whereas the severe volume expansion and sluggish kinetics still impede its applications in *** contrast,the exfoliated two-dimensional phosphorene owns negligible volume variation,and its intrinsic piezoelectricity is considered to be beneficial to the Li-ion transfer kinetics,while its positive influence has not been discussed ***,a phosphorene/MXene heterostructure-textured nanopiezocomposite is proposed with even phosphorene distribution and enhanced piezo-electrochemical coupling as an applicable free-standing asymmetric membrane electrode beyond the skin effect for enhanced Li-ion *** experimental and simulation analysis reveals that the embedded phosphorene nanosheets not only provide abundant active sites for Li-ions,but also endow the nanocomposite with favorable piezoelectricity,thus promoting the Li-ion transfer kinetics by generating the piezoelectric field serving as an extra *** waltzing with the MXene framework,the optimized electrode exhibits enhanced kinetics and stability,achieving stable cycling performances for 1,000 cycles at 2 A g^(-1),and delivering a high reversible capacity of 524 m Ah g^(-1)at-20℃,indicating the positive influence of the structural merits of self-assembled nanopiezocomposites on promoting stability and kinetics.

The study on the interrelation between sea-level changes and biodiversity with its evolu-tion has great significance for understanding the impact of global changes on organic evolution and exploring the inherent laws of life-environment coevolution in geological history. In this paper, the stratigraphic distribution of fusulinacean fauna in the Carboniferous-Permian boundary section at Xikou, Zhen’an County, Shaanxi Province, is analyzed quantitatively, and the relationship between the species diversity of fusulinaceans and relative sea-level changes is discussed. As a whole, the spe-cies numbers of fusulinacean fauna experience a rapid increase and an obvious decline in Xikou, Zhen’an County, from the Late Carboniferous to the Early Permian. There is a significant increase in species diversity around the Carboniferous-Permian boundary, which is one of the biggest bio-events of the fusulinacean fauna, and represents the radiation of Pseudoschwagerininae subfamily in the studied area. Integrated fusulinacean species diversity into sequence stratigraphic framework, de-tailed study suggests that the species diversity of the fusulinaceans is closely related to its relative stratigraphic location, and is essentially controlled by the sea-level changes, especially by the high-frequency sea-level changes. Generally, the species diversity of fusulinaceans is low, and the number of first and last appearance datum is small in the lower unit of high-frequency depositional cycle formed during the quick rise of the sea level; whereas the species diversity of fusulinaceans is high, and the number of first and last appearance datum is large in the upper unit of high-frequency cycle formed during the slow fall of the sea level. Within the third-order depositional sequence, the species diversity of the fusulinaceans at the first flooding surfaces and the maximum flooding surfaces is low, and it increases upward. In this article,two thick loess-red clay sequences located at Lingtai and jingchuan,the chinese Loess Plateau,are studied with emphases on magnetostratigraphy and sedimentology. Paleomagnetic measurements show that the jingchuan red clay has a basal age of 8.0 Ma,which is one million years older than the previously studied Lingtai *** observations and grain size analyses both suggest an eolian origin of the red clay sediments at Lingtai and jingchuan,thus extending available records of the eolian deposits in the Loess Plateau from 2.6 Ma back to 7.0-8.0 *** of five red clay sections in the Loess Plateau suggests that the Lingtai red clay sequence has a relatively continuous nature of sedimentation and can be regarded as the type-section of the Tertiary red clay deposits in northern *** the basis of spatial changes in the grain size of one northwest-southeast loess transect,several semiquantitative models of grain size parameters versus the minimum distance from the source region to depositional areas were developed. According to these models,the estimated eastern margin of the desert in northern china during the Tertiary red clay development is similar to that of the present Badain Jaran *** reconstruct the long-term East-Asia monsoon history from the celebrating eolian red clay-loess deposits,the ratios of CBD-extractable FeO to total FeO concentrations in the Lintai red clay-loess sequence,the proxy indicator for the summer monsoon changes,were *** Lingtai FeO ratio record indicates that the East-Asia summer monsoon has experienced a non-linear evolution over the past seven million *** strongest East Asia summer monsoon may occur between 4.1 and 4.8 Ma, which may be causally related to the relatively small ice volume and high global temperature during the early Pliocene.

Although changes in atmospheric CO levels are thought to be the major factor driving long-term C/C vegetation evolution,recent studies tend to emphasize the effect of regional climate conditions on C/C *** middle latitudes(30-45°),in which C/C plants are highly sensitive to environmental changes,provide an optimal basis for the investigation of the relative impacts of climate and pCO on shifts in C/C *** order to assess the factors controlling these shifts as well as the complex interactions between environmental factors,the carbon isotopic composition of bulk organic matter from the Chashmanigar loess section(southern Tajikistan) was measured for the past 1.77 *** general,theδC record shows mostly negative values throughout the sequence,almost allδC values falling between -23 and -26‰,indicating a predominance of C plants in Central Asia over this time period,despite the presence of numerous glacial-interglacial *** 0.85 Myr to the present,theδC values become increasingly positive,reflecting a growing C ***,this C component is not detectable prior to 0.25 Myr,after which minor peaks are evident at～228,～171 and～18 ***δC record from Chashmanigar indicates that winter-spring precipitation,*** climatic conditions, have characterized Central Asia throughout the past 1.77 Myr,leading to the predominance of C *** the context of glacial-interglacial-scale changes in atmospheric CO,therefore,it is climate rather than pCO that controls C/C variations in Asia’s middle *** gradual increase in the C component since 0.85 Myr,especially the notable peaks after 0.25 Myr,may have been caused by an increase in summer precipitation due to an enhanced southward shift of the climate zones.
