Objective This study aimed to explore the protective effect of procyanidin B2(PCB2)on acute liver injury induced by aflatoxin B1(AFB1)in *** Forty Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into control,AFB1,AFB1+PCB2,and PCB2 *** latter two groups were administrated PCB2 intragastrically(30 mg/kg body weight)for 7 d,whereas the control and AFB1 groups were given the same dose of double distilled water *** the sixth day of treatment,the AFB1 and AFB1+PCB2 groups were intraperitoneally injected with AFB1(2 mg/kg).The control and PCB2 groups were intraperitoneally administered the same dose of dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO).On the eighth day,all rats were euthanized:serum and liver tissue were isolated for further *** histological features were assessed by hematoxylin and eosin-stained ***,organ coefficient(liver,spleen,and kidney),liver function(serum alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,alkaline phosphatase,total bilirubin,and direct bilirubin),oxidative index(catalase,glutathione,superoxide dismutase,malondialdehyde,and 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine),inflammation factor[hepatic interleukin-6(IL-6)m RNA expression and serum IL-6],and bcl-2/bax ratio were *** AFB1 significantly caused hepatic histopathological damage,abnormal liver function,oxidative stress,inflammation,and bcl-2/bax ratio reduction compared with DMSO-treated *** results indicate that PCB2 treatment can partially reverse the adverse liver conditions induced by *** Our findings indicate that PCB2 exhibits a protective effect on acute liver injury induced by AFB1.

Effects of the extrusion parameters on microstructure,texture and room temperature mechanical properties of extruded Mg-2.49Nd-1.82Gd-0.2Zn-0.2Zr alloy

Microstructure,texture,and mechanical properties of the extruded Mg-2.49Nd-1.82Gd-0.2Zn-0.2Zr alloy were investigated at different extrusion temperatures(260 and 320℃),extrusion ratios(10:1,15:1,and 30:1),and extrusion speeds(3 and 6 mm/s).The experimental results exhibited that the grain sizes after extrusion were much finer than that of the homogenized alloy,and the second phase showed streamline distribution along the extrusion direction(ED).With extrusion temperature increased from 260 to 320℃,the microstructure,texture,and mechanical properties of alloys changed *** dynamic recrystallization(DRX)degree and grain sizes enhanced as the extrusion ratio increased from 10:1 to 30:1,and the strength gradually decreased but elongation(EL)*** the extrusion speed increased from 3 to 6 mm/s,the grain sizes and DRX degree increased significantly,and the samples presented the typical-rare-earth(RE)*** alloy extruded at 260℃ with extrusion ratio of 10:1 and extrusion speed of 3 mm/s showed the tensile yield strength(TYS)of 213 MPa and EL of 30.6%.After quantitatively analyzing the contribution of strengthening mechanisms,it was found that the grain boundary strengthening and dislocation strengthening played major roles among strengthening *** results provide some guidelines for enlarging the industrial application of extruded Mg-RE alloy.

Characterization of petrophysical and seismic properties for CO2 storage with sensitivity analysis

Saline aquifers are considered as highly favored reservoirs for CO2sequestration due to their favorable properties. Understanding the impact of saline aquifer properties on the migration and distribution of CO2plume is crucial. This study focuses on four key parameters—permeability, porosity, formation pressure, and temperature—to characterize the reservoir and analyse the petrophysical and elastic response of CO2. First, we performed reservoir simulations to simulate CO2saturation, using multiple sets of these four parameters to examine their significance on CO2saturation and the plume migration ***, the effect of these parameters on the elastic properties is tested using rock physics *** established a relationship of compressional wave velocity（Vp） and quality factor（Qp） with the four key parameters, and conducted a sensitivity analysis to test their sensitivity to Vpand Qp. Finally, we utilized visco-acoustic wave equation simulated time-lapse seismic data based on the computed Vpand Qpmodels, and analysed the impact of CO2saturation changes on seismic data. As for the above numerical simulations and analysis, we conducted sensitivity analysis using both homogeneous and heterogeneous models. Consistent results are found between homogeneous and heterogeneous models. The permeability is the most sensitive parameter to the CO2saturation, while porosity emerges as the primary factor affecting both Qpand Vp. Both Qpand Vpincrease with the porosity, which contradicts the observations in gas reservoirs. The seismic simulations highlight significant variations in the seismic response to different parameters. We provided analysis for these observations, which serves as a valuable reference for comprehensive CO2integrity analysis, time-lapse monitoring, injection planning and site selection.

Ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is an inherent issue in organ transplantation. Because of the allograft shortage, more and more extended criteria donor (ECD) organs are used, unfortunately these grafts are more susceptible to IRI. Although machine perfusion technology has brought hope to alleviate IRI, this technology is still unable to eradicate IRI-related organ damage. Ischemia-free liver transplantation (IFLT)can completely avoid IRI, thereby improve graft function and recipient outcome, and allow to expand organ pool. This review summarized the latest progresses in IFLT, and speculated the future development of this concept.

Dual roles ofα1,4-galactosyltransferase 1 in spermatogenesis of Drosophila melanogaster

Spermatogenesis is critical for insect reproduction and the process is regulated by multiple *** have been shown to participate in the development of Drosophila melanogaster;however,their role in spermatogenesis is still *** this study,we found thatα1,4-galactosyltransferase 1(α4GT1)was expressed at a significantly higher level in the testis than in the ovary of ***,the hatching rate was significantly decreased whenα4GT1 RNA interference(RNAi)males were crossed with w1118 females,with only a few mature sperm being present in the seminal vesicle ofα4GT1 RNAi *** staining further revealed that the individualization complex(IC)in the testes fromα4GT1 RNAi flies was scattered and did not move synchronically,compared with the clustered IC observed in the control *** deoxyribonucleotide transferase(TdT)-mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL)assay showed that apoptosis signals in the sperm bundles ofα4GT1 RNAi flies were significantly ***,the expression of several individualization-related genes,such as Shrub,Obp44a and Hanabi,was significantly decreased,whereas the expression of several apoptosis-related genes,including Dronc and Drice,was significantly increased in the testes ofα4GT1 RNAi ***,these results suggest thatα4GT1 may play dual roles in Drosophila spermatogenesis by regulating the sperm individualization process and maintaining the survival of sperm bundles.

长江中下游是我国淡水湖泊分布最集中的区域之一,其水生态环境质量在过去十年有了明显改善,但湖泊富营养化趋势并未得到根本的遏制,部分湖泊水环境质量仍在恶化,富营养化问题甚至有所加重。现有湖泊营养化现状的解析由于研究样本数少,难以展示区域性的湖泊群体特征,存在一定的局限性。通过梳理长江中下游23个主要湖泊表层沉积物氮磷赋存特征,发现通江湖泊与半通江湖泊表层沉积物TN含量最高,且二者平均浓度大体相当,其次分别为城郊湖泊和城市湖泊。TP含量均值空间差异显著,城市湖泊表层沉积物TP含量最高,其次是城郊湖泊,通江湖泊与半通江湖泊的TP含量较低。虽然部分区域城市、城郊湖泊富营养化状况有所改善,但根据表层沉积物综合污染程度分级来看,长江中下游大部分湖泊处于重度污染,氮磷富营养化的治理仍需加强。研究结果可为长江中下游湖泊的富营养化现状提供整体认识,支撑长江流域湖泊富营养化防治。

designing the counter pressure casting gating system for a large thin-walled cabin by machine learning

The design of casting gating system directly determines the solidification sequence, defect severity,and overall quality of the casting. A novel machine learning strategy was developed to design the counter pressure casting gating system of a large thin-walled cabin casting. A high-quality dataset was established through orthogonal experiments combined with design criteria for the gating system. Spearman's correlation analysis was used to select high-quality features. The gating system dimensions were predicted using a gated recurrent unit(GRU) recurrent neural network and an elastic network model. Using EasyCast and ProCAST casting software, a comparative analysis of the flow field, temperature field, and solidification field can be conducted to demonstrate the achievement of steady filling and top-down sequential solidification. Compared to the empirical formula method, this method eliminates trial-and-error iterations, reduces porosity, reduces casting defect volume from 11.23 cubic centimeters to 2.23 cubic centimeters, eliminates internal casting defects through the incorporation of an internally cooled iron, fulfilling the goal of intelligent gating system design.
