TO SEE THE WORLd IN A GRAIN OF *** microscopy has proved to be essential for seeing life in a grain of a *** epifluorescence microscopes,such as wide-field microscopes and laser scanning confocal microscopes,have been widely used for biology research over the past few *** goal of fluorescence microscopy is to observe the structure and function of cellular events across time and threedimensional(3d)space with spatiotemporal resolution as high as ***,conventional epifluorescence microscopes illuminate the entire 3d volume of the sample while detecting signals only from the 2d focal plane,thereby leading to low photon utilization and high phototoxicity issues that notably prevent high-resolution imaging of live biological specimens(Figure 1A).It becomes increasingly noteworthy that the massively emerging biomedical applications are posing significant challenges to current fluorescence microscopy techniques.

For lithium-sulfur batteries(Li-S batteries),a high-content electrolyte typically can exacerbate the shuttle effect,while a lean electrolyte may lead to decreased Li-ion conductivity and reduced catalytic conversion efficiency,so achieving an appropriate electrolyte-to-sulfur ratio(E/S ratio)is essential for improving the battery cycling efficiency.A quasi-solid electrolyte(COF-SH@PVdF-HFP)with strong adsorption and high catalytic conversion was constructed for in situ covalent organic framework(COF)growth on highly polarized polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene(PVdF-HFP)***-SH@PVdF-HFP enables efficient Li-ion conductivity with low-content liquid electrolyte and effectively suppresses the shuttle *** results based on in situ Fourier-transform infrared,in situ Raman,UV–Vis,x-ray photoelectron,and density functional theory calculations confirmed the high catalytic conversion of COF-SH layer containing sulfhydryl and imine groups for the lithium *** plating/stripping tests based on Li/COF-SH@PVdF-HFP/Li show excellent lithium compatibility(5 mAh cm^(-2) for 1400 h).The assembled Li-S battery exhibits excellent rate(2 C 688.7 mAh g^(-1))and cycle performance(at 2 C of 568.8 mAh g^(-1) with a capacity retention of 77.3%after 800 cycles).This is the first report to improve the cycling stability of quasi-solid-state Li-S batteries by reducing both the E/S ratio and the designing strategy of sulfhydryl-functionalized COF for quasi-solid *** process opens up the possibility of the high performance of solid-state Li-S batteries.

While much progress has been made in capturing high-quality facial performances using motion capture markers and shape-from-shading,high-end systems typically also rely on rotoscope curves hand-drawn on the *** curves are subjective and difficult to draw consistently;moreover,ad-hoc procedural methods are required for generating matching rotoscope curves on synthetic renders embedded in the optimization used to determine three-dimensional(3d)facial pose and *** propose an alternative approach whereby these curves and other keypoints are detected automatically on both the image and the synthetic renders using trained neural networks,eliminating artist subjectivity,and the ad-hoc procedures meant to mimic *** generally,we propose using machine learning networks to implicitly define deep energies which when minimized using classical optimization techniques lead to 3d facial pose and expression estimation.

Since first synthesized in 2011, Mxenes have attracted extensive attention in many scientific fields as a new two-dimensional(2d) material because of the unique physical and chemical properties. Over the past decade, in particular, Mxenes have obtained numerous exciting achievements in the field of terahertz applications. In this review, we first briefly introduce the Mxene materials, such as the basic structure and main fabrication processes of Mxenes. Then, we summarize the recent applications of Mxene materials in various terahertz research areas, including terahertz modulation, terahertz absorption, terahertz shielding, terahertz communication, terahertz detection and terahertz generation, in which the representative results are presented. Finally, we give an outlook on the future research directions of Mxene materials and their potential applications.

Cooperative Anti-Jamming and Interference Mitigation for UAV Networks: A Local Altruistic Game Approach

To improve the anti-jamming and interference mitigation ability of the UAV-aided communication systems, this paper investigates the channel selection optimization problem in face of both internal mutual interference and external malicious jamming. A cooperative anti-jamming and interference mitigation method based on local altruistic is proposed to optimize UAVs’ channel selection. Specifically, a Stackelberg game is modeled to formulate the confrontation relationship between UAVs and the jammer. A local altruistic game is modeled with each UAV considering the utilities of both itself and other UAVs. A distributed cooperative anti-jamming and interference mitigation algorithm is proposed to obtain the Stackelberg equilibrium. Finally, the convergence of the proposed algorithm and the impact of the transmission power on the system loss value are analyzed, and the anti-jamming performance of the proposed algorithm can be improved by around 64% compared with the existing algorithms.

Lysozyme(EC3.***.1.17)plays an important role in the immune response;as a nonspecific immune factor,it can resist causative *** can be divided into c-type and g-type in *** a previous study,through genome-wide association analysis,the g-type lysozyme gene,which is named NaLyg in yellow drum(Nibea albiflora),was found to be a key candidate gene for disease resistance in response to Vibrio harveyi *** cdNA of NaLyg was 1025 bp,including four exons and three introns,and its open reading frame(ORF)had a full-length of 582 bp,encoding 193 amino *** was found to be conserved during evolution through bioinformatic *** NaLyg protein possessed a sugar binding domain and three catalytic sites,including Glu71,Asp84 and *** qRT-PCR results confirmed that NaLyg gene mRNA was visibly increased after *** *** NaLyg protein purified by prokaryotic expression killed some gram-negative bacterial pathogens by inducing cell wall destruction,including ***,Aeromonas hydrophila and Edwardsiella ***,the NaLyg protein killed two gram-positive bacteria,Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus *** together,the experimental results suggested that the NaLyg protein of *** played an important role in fighting bacterial infections.

Non-orthogonality in non-Hermitian quantum systems gives rise to tremendous exotic quantum phenomena,which can be fundamentally traced back to *** this paper,we introduce an interesting quantity(denoted asη)as a new variant of the Petermann factor to directly and efficiently measure non-unitarity and the associated non-Hermitian *** tuning the model parameters of underlying non-Hermitian systems,we find that the discontinuity of bothηand its first-order derivative(denoted as■η)pronouncedly captures rich physics that is fundamentally caused by *** concretely,in the 1d non-Hermitian topological systems,two mutually orthogonal edge states that are respectively localized on two boundaries become non-orthogonal in the vicinity of discontinuity ofηas a function of the model parameter,which is dubbed"edge state transition".Through theoretical analysis,we identify that the appearance of edge state transition indicates the existence of exceptional points(EPs)in topological edge *** the discontinuity of■η,we investigate a two-level non-Hermitian model and establish a connection between the points of discontinuity of■ηand EPs of bulk *** studying this connection in more general lattice models,we find that some models have discontinuity of■η,implying the existence of EPs in bulk states.

developing highly efficient and low-cost electrocatalysts towards oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is essential for practical application in water electrolyzers and rechargeable metal-air *** Fe-based oxyhydrox.d.s are regarded as state-of-the-art non-noble OER electrocatalysts,the origin of performance enhancement derived from Fe doping remains a hot topic of considerable ***,we demonstrate that in situ generated Fe vacancies in the pristine CoFeOOH catalyst through a pre-conversion process during alkaline OER result from dynamic Fe dissolution,identifying the origin of Fe-vacancy-induced enhanced OER *** functional theory(dFT)calculations and experimental results including x-ray absorption fine-structure spectroscopy,in situ UV-Vis spectroscopy,and in situ Raman spectroscopy reveal that the Fe vacancies could significantly promote the d-band center and valence states of adjacent Co sites,alter the active site from Fe atom to Co atom,accelerate the formation of high-valent active Co^(4+)species,and reduce the energy barrier of the potential-determining step,thereby contribute to the significantly enhanced OER performance.

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),the most common type of primary liver cancer,is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths *** evidence shows that the expression of circulating RNA ZFR(circZFR)is upregulated in HCC ***,the molecular mechanism of circZFR in HCC is ***:Quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was employed to detect the expression of circZFR,microRNA-624-3p(miR-624-3p)and WEE1 in HCC tissues and *** R assay and actinomycin d treatment assay were used to analyze the characteristics of *** functional analysis,the capacities of colony formation,cell proliferation,cell apoptosis,migration and invasion were assessed by colony formation assay,5-ethynyl-2-deoxyuridine(EdU)assay,flow cytometry assay and transwell *** blot was used to examine the protein levels of WEE1 and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)-related *** interactions between miR-624-3p and circZFR or WEE1 were validated by dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation(RIP)*** models were established to determine the role of circZFR in ***:circZFR and WEE1 were upregulated,while miR-624-3p expression was reduced in HCC tissues and *** could sponge miR-624-3p,and WEE1 was a downstream gene of *** of circZFR significantly reduced the malignant behaviors of HCC and that co-transfection with miR624-3p inhibitor restored this *** of WEE1 abolished the inhibitory effect of miR624-3p mimic on HCC ***,circZFR acted as a competitive endogenous RNA(ceRNA)to regulate WEE1 expression by targeting ***,in vivo studies have illustrated that circZFR knockdown inhibited tumor ***:circZFR knockdown reduced HCC cell proliferation,migration and invasion and promoted apoptosis by regulating the miR-624-3p/WEE1 axis,suggesting that the circZFR/miR-624-3p/WEE1 axis might

We demonstrate a continuous-wave(CW)Nd:YVO_(4)-potassium gadolinium tungstate(KGW)intracavity Raman laser with a diode-to-Stokes optical efficiency of 34.2%.By optimizing the cavity arrangement and reducing the cavity losses,8.47 W Stokes output at 1177 nm was obtained under an incident 878.6 nm diode pump power of 24.8 *** influence of cavity losses on the power and efficiency of the CW Raman laser,as well as the potential for further optimization,was investigated based on the numerical *** observation of thermally-induced output rollover was well explained by the calculation of the thermal lensing and cavity stability,indicating that the end-face curvature played an important role when the end-face of the crystal was highly reflective coated to make the cavity.A 10.9 W Stokes output under 40.9 W incident pump was also demonstrated with a cavity arrangement less sensitive to the end-face curvature,which is the highest output power of CW intracavity Raman lasers reported.
