OBJECTIVE:Rat models of hypobaric hypox.a-induced pulmonary hypertension are commonly used in studies of chronic mountain sickness,while there are few researches specially focusing on these rats *** study aims to ex.loring possible pathogenesis of hypobaric hypox.a-induced pulmonary hypertension by ex.erimenting on hypobaric hypox.ainduced PH rat models at different *** AND METHODS:32 healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into six.groups of different degree and time period of hypobaric *** mean pulmonary arterial pressure（m PAP）,right ventricular pressure（RVSP）,the right ventricle（RV）,left ventricular（LV）,ventricular septal（S）,the right ventricular hypertrophy index.RVHI）[calculated under the formula of RV/（LV + S）],hematox.lin-eosin staining,elastic fibers staining,the ratio of the thickness of vascular wall to its outer diameter（MT%）,the ratio of the cross-sectional area of the middle vascular wall to the total vascular cross-sectional area（MA%）;the a-SMA,and the Ki6 ex.ressions were detected to evaluated the pulmonary ***:There were significant differences of the mPAP,RVSP and RVHI value between the hypobaric hypox.a groups and the control group（p ＜ 0.05）.The mPAP,RVSP,RVHI,MT%,MA%,α-SMA,and Ki6 of rats in model groups at an altitude of 3KM were higher than those of the control group,which raised gradually with the number of weeks *** mPAP,RVSP,RV/（LV + S） value,MT%,MA%,a-SMA,and Ki67 of the 5KM-4W group were significantly higher than those of the control group（p ＜ 0.05）.CONCLUSIONS:Rat models with pulmonary hypertension at different altitudes have been successfully established by automatic adjusting hypobaric hypox.a *** to a low ox.gen environment at a simulate-altitude of 3km for 8 weeks have caused the pathological remodeling of pulmonary vascular walls and pulmonary hypertension,and further led to a series of pathological changes,including right ventricular ***

Highly conductive and stable iodine doped argyrodite electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium batteries

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S cm-1and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,ex.ibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS cm-1and low areal resistance of 1.17Ω***,iodine doping could in-situ form LiI at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6from 0.8 to 1.35 mA *** resultant LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2/Li battery shows ex.ellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g-1and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g-1and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.

In this work,we investigate cross-sectional sample preparation for atomic force microscopy and general scanning probe microscopy(SPM)*** light of traditional cross-sectional sample preparation solutions for transmission electron microscopy,mechanical polishing and focused ion beam(FIB)milling have been employed to prepare cross-sectional samples for *** present an optimized solution for thin films and ox.de heterostructures that allows for ex.mining the prepared surfaces using various SPM *** particular,post-cleaning after FIB milling is shown to be crucial and precision ion polishing was conducted to remove rough layers on mechanically polished *** also study SPM mechanical milling to remove amorphous layers on FIB-milled ***,a reliable solution for making cross sections suitable for SPM has been achieved providing a useful methodology that can also be employed for other material systems with different hardness,such as polymers and metals.

Aurora B kinase activation requires survivin priming phosphorylation by PLK1

During cell division,chromosome segregation is orchestrated by the interaction of spindle microtubules with the *** attachment of spindle microtubules to kinetochore requires the chromosomal passenger of Aurora B kinase complex.with borealin,INCENP and survivin(SUR).The current working model argues that SUR is responsible for docking Aurora B to the centromere whereas its precise role in Aurora B activation has been ***,we show that Aurora B kinase activation requires SUR priming phosphorylation at Ser20 which is catalyzed by polo-like kinase 1(PLK1).Inhibition of PLK1 kinase activity or ex.ression of non-phosphorylatable SUR mutant prevents Aurora B activation and correct spindle microtubule *** PLK1-mediated regulation of Aurora B kinase activity was ex.mined in real-time mitosis using fluorescence resonance energy transfer-based reporter and quantitative analysis of native Aurora B substrate *** reason that the PLK1-mediated priming phosphorylation is critical for orchestrating Aurora B activity in centromere which is essential for accurate chromosome segregation and faithful completion of cytokinesis.

Whether for cancer diagnosis or single-cell analysis,it remains a major dhallenge to isolate the target sample cells from a large background cell for high-efficiency downstream detection and analysis in an integrated ***,in this paper,we propose a 3D stacked multistage inertial microfluidic sorting chip for high-throughput enrichment of circulating tumor cells(CTCs)and convenient downstream *** this chip,the first stage is a spiral channel with a trapezoidal cross-section,which has better separation performance than a spiral channel with a rectangular *** second and third stages adopt symmetrical square serpentine channels with different rectangular cross-section widths for further separation and enrichment of sample cells reducing the outlet flow rate for easier downstream detection and *** multistage channel can separate 5 pum and 15 um particles with a separation efficiency of 92.37%and purity of 98.10%at a high inlet flow rate of 1.3 mL/***,it can separate tumor cells(SW480,A549,and Caki-1)from massive red blood cells(RBCs)with *** efficiency of>80%,separation purity of>90%,and a concentration fold of~*** proposed work is aimed at providing a high-throughput sample processing system that can be easily integrated with flowing sample detection methods for rapid CTC analysis.

Amplitude modulation and ex.reme events in turbulent channel flow

Amplitude modulation of near-wall turbulence by large-scale structures in the outer layer is investigated by direct numerical simulation of turbulent channel flows at Reynolds number Re= 540, 1000, 2000. The effect of modulation is obvious in the two-point cross-section correlation map, and the correlation coefficients increase significantly with the Reynolds number. The influence of modulation is reflected in the tail of the probability density function of the near-wall flow signals, which ex.ands as the Reynolds number increases. The flatness factor provides a quantitative description of the high fluctuation events due to modulation. Vortical structures associated with modulation are revealed by conditionally averaging the flow field of the near-wall ex.reme events, providing a depiction of how the influence of the large-scale structures penetrate towards the near-wall region.

FEM SIMULATION OF RESIDUAL STRESSES INDUCED By LASER SHOCK WITH OVERLAPPING LASER SPOTS

The finite element method is presented to attain the numerical simulation of the residual stresses field in the material treated by laser shock processing. The distribution of residual stresses generated by a single laser shock with square and round laser spot is predicted and validated by ex.erimental results. With the Finite Element Method （FEM） model, effects of different overlapping rates and impact sequences on the distribution of residual stresses are simulated. The results indicate that：（1） Overlapping laser shock can increase the compressive residual stresses. However, it is not effective on the growth of plastically affected depth; （2） Overlapping rate should be optimized and selected carefully for the large area treatment. Appropriate overlapping rate is beneficial to obtain a homogeneous residual stress field; （3） The impact sequence has a great effect on the residual stress field. It can greatly attenuate the phenomenon of the “residual stress hole” to obtain a homogeneous residual stress field.

Electronic structure of GaAs/A1GaAs quantum double rings in lateral electric field

A three-dimensional model of GaAs/A1GaAs quantum double rings in the lateral static electric field is investigated theoretically. The eigenvalue problem with the effective-mass approx.mation is solved by means of the finite-element method. The energy levels and wave functions of quantum-confined electrons and heavy holes are obtained and show an agreement with our previous theoretical and ex.erimental studies. It is shown in the approx.mation of neglecting the Coulomb attraction between the electron and heavy hole that a relatively large Stark shift of ex.iton emission of 4 meV is attainable with an applied electric field of 0.7 kV/cm.

Loading-unloading judgement for advanced plastic UH model

The unified hardening(UH)model proposed by.yao et al.(Geotechnique 2009)is the constitutive model which can consider the influence of the complex.stress path and stress history on the deformation and strength of clays ***,the loading-unloading criterion of material model is defined as the change law of the intersection of current yield surface and the p ax.s,which makes the loading-unloading in the process of hardening and softening can be unified considered in UH ***,the Newton-Raphson method is adopted to attain the nonlinear problems solution in the finite element method of UH model,and the semi-implicit return mapping method is adopted to update *** application of the UH model in the finite element is *** then,the analyses of triax.al test are performed using the unit prediction and finite element *** results of the unit prediction method are compared with the ex.erimental results to illustrate the rationality of the UH *** the results with the unit prediction method and the finite element method,the correctness of the finite element program of the UH model is ***,Ae three-dimensional firdte element andysis of embankment on soft soil is performed by the *** comparison between the results calculated by the UH model and the modified Cam-clay(MCC)model and the ex.erimental data shows that the UH model is rational in analyzing the actual embankment engineering on soft soil.
