Objective: To study the effect of reorgan.zed-human.rowth hormon. （r-hGH） on.cycl. kin.tics an. apo-ptosis of l.ver can.er cel.s or 7402 ***: l.ver can.er cel.s were cul.ured for 24hours with r-hGH at differen. con.en.ration. with orwithout cispl.tin.（DDP）. Cel.s un.ergoin. apoptosisan. differen.iation.were determin.d by fl.w cytome-try （FCM）.Resul.s: Comparison.of the resul.s in.cul.ure withan. without r-hGH showed that the percen.age ofcel.s in.G0-G1 phase dropped （P&l.;0.05）, whereasin.S phase in.reased （P&l.;0.05）. Addin. of r-hGHan. DDP to the cul.ure medium in.reased the apop-tosis of l.ver can.er cel.s more sign.fican.l. than.ddin. DDP on.y （P&l.;0.05）.Con.l.sion.: l.ver can.er cel.s might ex.ress thehGH receptor. The spatial.variation.of soil.n.trien.s in.topsoil.(0-20cm) was an.l.zed usin. semivariogram in.the Zun.ua Coun.y of Hebei Provin.e, Chin.. The effect on.semivariogram with ran.oml. del.ted data an. kriged estimates usin. various reduced sampl. sizes was al.o an.l.zed. The semivariograms of avail.bl. n. total.n. avail.bl. P, organ.c matter were best described by a spherical.model. ex.ept for avail.bl. K, which best fitted a compl.x.structure of ex.on.n.ial.model.an. l.n.ar with sil. model. The ratio of n.gget to total.sampl. varian.e ran.ed from 34.4% to 68.4%, in.icatin. the spatial.correl.tion.of tested soil.n.trien.s on.a l.rge scal. was moderatel. depen.en.. Amon. five soil.n.trien.s, avail.bl. n.trogen.an. avail.bl. phosphorus had the shortest spatial.correl.tion.ran.e (5 km an. 5.5 km), avail.bl. K had the l.n.est ran.e (25.5 km), whereas total.n.trogen.an. organ.c matter had in.ermediate spatial.correl.tion.ran.e (14.5 km an. 8.5 km). The semivariograms of avail.bl. n. total.n. avail.bl. P, an. organ.c matter were in.en.itive to a 50%-60% reduction.in.origin.l.sampl.n. den.ity, whil. for avail.bl. K, it is up to 70%. The estimated spatial.distribution. of total.n.by krigin., un.er various reduced sampl. sizes, al. correl.ted sign.fican.l. (P = 0.001) with those obtain.d from origin.l.data. The resul.s showed that the semivariogram was a rel.tivel. robust tool.when.used in.a l.rge region.an. sufficien. spatial.variation.in.ormation.coul. be rel.in.d regardl.ss of a higher del.tion.proportion.of the origin.l.data. The origin.l.sampl. data coul. be reduced by krigin. an. the estimates showed n. l.ss of spatial.in.ormation. however, the resul.s may be un.el.abl. un.ess a cl.arl. iden.ified semivariogram model.coul. be obtain.d. The resul.s may provide useful.in.ormation.for determin.n. the appropriate sampl.n. den.ities for these scal.s of soil.survey.

Before the adven. of cheap, syn.hetic fertil.zers, l.gumes were common.y used as green.man.re crops for their abil.ty to fix.atmospheric n.trogen.(n.. A three-year study at Overton. Tx.ex.min.d l.gume in.egration.in.o high-biomass sorghum (Sorghum bicol.r l.) production.systems on.a l.l.ert l.amy fin. san. recen.l. cul.ivated after a fertil.zed bermudagrass [Cyn.don.dactyl.n.(l.) Pers.] pasture. In.this spl.t-spl.t pl.t design. ‘Dix.e’ crimson.cl.ver (Trifol.um in.arn.tum l.) an. ‘Iron.an. Cl.y’ cowpea (Vign. un.uicul.ta l.) were in.egrated in.o a high-biomass sorghum production.system to eval.ate impacts on.n.con.en.ration. C con.en.ration. an. yiel. of high-biomass sorghum an. their impacts on.soil.total.n.an. soil.organ.c carbon.(SOC). Main.pl.ts were spl.t in.o crimson.cl.ver green.man.re (Cl.M) an. win.er fal.ow (FAl.) fol.owed by three sub-pl.ts spl.t in.o warm-season.crop rotation.: cowpea green.man.re (CPGM), cowpea-sorghum in.ercrop (CPSR), an. sorghum mon.crop (SORG). Three n.fertil.zer treatmen.s (0, 45, 90 kg n.ha−1) were ran.omized an. appl.ed as sub-sub pl.ts. The Cl.M in.reased (P sorghum biomass yiel. (16.5 t DM∙ha−1) 28% in.year three but had n. effect in.the first two years. The CPSR treatmen. reduced sorghum yiel. up to 62% compared to SORG;whereas CPGM in.reased sorghum yiel. 56% an. 18% the two years fol.owin. cowpea in.orporation. Rate of n.fertil.zer had n. effect on.sorghum biomass yiel.. Decrease in.SOC an. soil.n.over time in.icated min.ral.zation.of organ.c n.an. may ex.l.in.why n. n.fertil.zer respon.e was observed in.sorghum biomass yiel.. Cowpea showed stron. poten.ial.as a green.man.re crop but proved to be too competitive for successful.in.ercroppin. in.high-biomass sorghum production.systems.
