The grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella) is one of the most important cultivated fish species in China.Mounting evidences suggests that microRNAs(miRNAs) may be key regulators of skeletal muscle among the grass carp,but the knowledge of the identity of myogenic miRNAs and role of miRNAs during skeletal muscle anabolic state remains limited.In the present study,we choose 8 miRNAs previously reported to act as muscle growth-related miRNAs for fasting-refeeding research.We investigated postprandial changes in the expression of 8 miRNAs following a single satiating meal in grass carp juveniles who had been fasting for one week and found that 7 miRNAs were sharply up-regulated within 1 or 3 h after refeeding,suggesting that they may be promising candidate miRNAs involved in a fast-response signaling system that regulates fish skeletal muscle growth.

Study on Shear Strength Characteristics of Columnar Jointed Basalt Based on in-situ Direct Shear Test at Baihetan Hydropower Station

Columnar jointed basalt(CJB) widely distributes in the dam site of the Baihetan Hydropower Station.The columnar joint structure and fracture development of CJB have significant influence on the mechanical properties of rock mass,and the mechanical properties of CJB are of great significance to the Baihetan Hydropower Project.Therefore,in-situ direct shear tests were carried out on ten test adit at different locations in the dam site area to study the shear behavior of CJB.In this study,21 sets of in-situ direct shear tests were conducted for rock types of type Ⅱ_(2),type Ⅲ_(1)and type Ⅲ_(2),with horizontal and vertical shear planes and two different specimen sizes of CJB.Shear strength parameters of CJB were obtained by linear fitting of in-situ direct shear test results based on the Mohr-Coulomb strength criterion.The results indicate that the shear strength parameters of CJB with horizontal shear plane increase as the increase of rock type grade.The shear strength parameters of CJB show obvious anisotropy and the friction coefficient of the horizontal shear plane is greater than the vertical shear plane.The friction coefficient in the horizontal direction of the shear plane is 1.27 times that in the vertical direction of the shear plane.With the increase of rock type grade,the difference of friction coefficient becomes larger.However,the cohesion changes little whether the shear plane is horizontal or vertical.In addition,the size effect of CJB in this area is significant.The shear strength parameters of large size(100 cm × 100 cm) specimens are lower than those of regular size(50 cm × 50 cm) specimens.The reduction of cohesion is greater than that of the friction coefficient.For rock type Ⅲ_(2),the cohesion of large-size specimens is 0.637 of the regular-size specimens.The reduction percentage of the friction coefficient for type Ⅲ_(2)is 1.66 times that of type Ⅲ_(1).The reduction percentage of the cohesion for type Ⅲ_(2)is 1.27 times that of type Ⅲ_(1).The size effect decreases with the increase of rock type

BACKGROUND With the increasing incidence of proximal gastric cancer,laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy has been applied.However,reflux esophagitis often occurs after traditional esophagogastric anastomosis.In order to solve this problem,several methods of digestive tract reconstruction have emerged,but the most satisfying method remains to be discussed.Therefore,we modified traditional Kamikawa anastomosis to investigate the appropriate digestive tract reconstruction in laparo-scopic proximal gastrectomy.All the patients were successfully operated on without conversion to laparotomy.The duration of operation and digestive tract reconstruction were 203.500(150-224)min and 87.500(73-111)min,respectively.The intraoperative amount of bleeding was 20.500 mL±0.696 mL.The time of postoperative first flatus,the first postoperative fluid intake,and the postoperative length of stay were 2(1-3)d,4(3-5)d,and 9(8-10)d,respectively.All the patients were followed up for 12-23 months.The body mass index at 6 and 12 months after surgery were 22.577 kg/m2±3.098 kg/m2 and 22.594 kg/m2±3.207 kg/m2,respectively.The nutrition risk screening 2002 score,the patient-generated subjective global assessment score,and the gastroesophageal reflux disease scale score were good at 6 and 12 months after surgery.Reflux esophagitis and anastomotic stenosis were not observed in any of the patients during their 12-month postoperative gastroscopy or upper gastrointestinal tract visits.All the patients exhibited no tumor recurrence or metastasis.CONCLUSION The modified Kamikawa anastomosis is safe and feasible for laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy and has good antireflux effects and nutritional status.

In this paper,we obtained complete qth-moment convergence of the moving average processes,which is generated by m-WOD moving random variables.The results in this article improve and extend the results of the moving average process.mWOD random variables include WOD,m-NA,m-NOD and mEND random variables,so the results in the paper also promote the corresponding ones in WOD,m-NA,m-NOD,m-END random variables.

The electric activities of neurons could be changed when ion channel block occurs in the neurons.External forcing currents with diversity are imposed on the regular network of Hodgkin-Huxley(HH) neuron,and target waves are induced to occupy the network.The forcing current I1 is imposed on neurons in a local region with m 0 ×m 0 nodes in the network,neurons in other nodes are imposed with another forcing current I2.Target wave could be developed to occupy the network when the gradient forcing current(I1-I2) exceeds certain threshold,and the formation of target wave is independent of the selection of boundary condition.It is also found that the developed target wave can decrease the negative effect of ion channel block and suppress the spiral wave,and thus channel noise is also considered.The potential mechanism of formation of target wave could be that the gradient forcing current(I1-I2) generates quasi-periodical signal in local area,and the propagation of quasi-periodical signal induces target-like wave due to mutual coupling among neurons in the network.

Prostate cancer(PCa)is one of the most frequent cancers in men,and its biomolecular targets have been extensively studied.This study aimed to analyze the expression of toll-like receptor 9(TLR9)and vascular endothelial growth factor C(VEGF-C)and the clinical value of the coexpression of TLR9 and VEGF-C in PCa.We retrospectively evaluated 55 patients with clinically localized,intermediate-risk,or high-risk PCa who underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy(LRP)and extended pelvic lymph node dissection(ePLND)without neoadjuvant hormonal therapy at a single institution from June 2013 to December 2016.In all 55 patients,the median number of lymph nodes(LNs)resected was 23(range:18-31),and a total of 1269 LNs were removed,of which 78 LNs were positive.Seventeen patients had positive LNs,with a positive rate of 30.9%.In addition,the immunohistochemical results in the above patients revealed that high TLR9 expression was correlated with higher Gleason score(GS)(P=0.049),increased LN metastasis(P=0.004),and more perineural invasion(PNI)(P=0.033).Moreover,VEGF-C expression was associated with GS(P=0.040),pathological stage(pT stage)(P=0.022),LN metastasis(P=0.003),and PNI(P=0.001).Furthermore,a significant positive correlation between TLR9 and VEGF-C was found(P<0.001),and the TLR9/VEGF-C phenotype was associated with LN metastasis(P=0.047).Collectively,we propose that TLR9 stimulation may promote LN metastasis in PCa cells through the upregulation of VEGF-C expression,thereby affecting the prognosis of PCa patients.Therefore,these markers may serve as valuable targets for the treatment of PCa.

Background Children with intestinal failure(IF)have frequent catheter-related bloodstream infections(CRBSIs).This study aimed to analyze the clinical presentation and laboratory parameters of CRBSIs in children with IF.Methods This 6-year retrospective study was conducted among IF children with CRBSIs at an intestinal rehabilitation center in China.Clinical data were collected,including data of temperature and gastrointestinal symptoms.Blood/catheter culture,fecal tests,and calculation of inflammatory index were performed,which were obtained within 1 week since CRBSI onset.Results Fifty children with 87 CRBSIs were identified,of which there were 17 suspected and 70 confirmed cases.Seventy-two pathogens were cultured from 70 positive blood cultures:63%were Gram-positive organisms,23%were Gram-negative organisms,and 11%were fungal organisms.Overall,48.6%were enteric organisms;47.2%of bacterial pathogens were consistent between fecal and blood cultures.Moreover,46.3%fecal routines showed abnormalities including increased white blood cells,occult blood positive and the presence of fat droplets.The consistent symptom at onset of CRBSIs was fever and gastrointestinal symptoms including increased stool output,abdominal distension,or both.C-reactive protein(CRP)and procalcitonin(PCT)were elevated,i.e.,16.5 mg/L[interquartile range(IQR)8.7-44.7]and 0.48 ng/mL(IQR 0.2-1.76),respectively.Conclusions IF children had a high rate of CRBSIs,of which larger proportions were due to Gram-positive and enteric organisms.Fever and/or gastrointestinal symptoms,combined with elevated CRP and PCT,is conducive to the early diagnosis of CRBSIs in IF patients.

Camptothecin has a strong tumor killing ability for a variety of tumor cells with its special anti-cancer mechanism including the breast cancer. However, because of its infinite hydrophobic property, its clinical application has been greatly limited. Early prevention of loco regional recurrence for the breast cancer is critical for patients who have undergone breast-conserving therapy. In the study,CPT was used for the inhibition of the recurrence after the operation. The hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles were used as the carrier to improve the hydrophilic property and increase its bioavailability with the high loading capacity. The ability of the cellular uptake and antitumor activity was increased. Hydrogel was the ideal carrier for local therapy, so the CPT@HMSNs were loaded into the PLEL thermo sensitive hydrogel to be injected into the tumor sites after the tumor was resected. The recurrence was reduced in the group of CPT-HMSNs-PLEL and the side effect of CPT was decreased. They exhibit distinguished potential as drug carrier for local delivery.

Study on Shear Strength Characteristics of Basalt-Concrete Bonding Interface Based on in-situ Direct Shear Test

In rock engineering,the shear strength of the basalt-concrete bonding interface is a key factor affecting the shear performance of hydroelectric dam foundations,embedded rock piles and rock bolts.In this study,30 sets of in-situ direct shear tests were conducted on the basalt-concrete bond interface in the Baihetan dam area to investigate the shear strength characteristics of the basalt-concrete bonding interface.The bonding interface contains two states,i.e.,the bonding interface is not sheared,termed as se(symbolic meaning see Table 1);the bonding interface is sheared with rupture surface,termed as si.The effects of lithology,Joints structure,rock type grade and concrete compressive strength on the shear strength of the concrete-basalt contact surface were investigated.The test results show that the shear strength of the bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i))of columnar jointed basalt with concrete is greater than that of the bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i))of non-columnar jointed one with the same rock type grade.When the rock type grade isⅢ_(2),fcol is 1.22 times higher than fncol and ccol is 1.13 times greater than cncol.The shear strength parameters of the basalt-concrete bonding interface differ significantly for different lithologies.The cohesion of the bonding interface(s_(i))of cryptocrystalline basalt with concrete is 2.05 times higher than that of the bonding interface(s_(i))of breccia lava with concrete under the same rock type grade condition.Rock type grade has a large influence on the shear strength of the non-columnar jointed basalt-concrete bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i)).cnol increases by 33%when the grade of rock type rises fromⅢ_(1)toⅡ_(1).the rock type grade has a greater effect on bonding interface(s_(i))cohesion than the coefficient of friction.When the rock type grade is reduced fromⅢ_(2)toⅢ_(1),f_(ncol)′increases by 2%and c_(ncol)′improves by 44%.The shear strength of the non-columnar jointed basalt-concrete bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i))increases with the increase of the compressive strength of co

Multi-cyclic CaO carbonation/calcination is an attractive method for CO_2 capture during coal combustion.However,the capture capacity of CaO sharply decreases with increasing carbonation/calcination cycles.In order to improve the stability of CO_2 capture capacity of CaO during carbonation/calcination cycles,synthetic CaO/Al_2O_3 sorbents were synthesized by two methods：wet chemistry and sol-gel-combustion-synthesis（SGCS） to make a further comparison.The results indicate that the SGCS-made CaO/ Al_2O_3 = 80：20 wt%sorbent provides a competitive performance of a capture capacity of 0.43 g-CO_2/g-sorbent after 20 cycles.
