Human fallopian tubes(FTs)play important roles in the whole reproductive *** are the site for the final maturation of gametes,fertilization,transport of preimplantation embryos,and early embryonic development before entering the *** these functions are critical in the establishment of a successful *** the embryo is in transit through the FT,the FT microenvironment changes through endocrine,paracrine,autocrine,and juxtacrine mechanisms which involve various hormones and bioactive substances mainly from the neighboring ***,the interactions between the embryo and the FT may be the earliest embryo-maternal communications that are essential for the establishment of *** review critically discusses the evidence of various hormonal and bioactive mediated control of the microenvironment in the FTs during the earliest embryo-maternal ***,we highlight existing gaps in the knowledge and the importance of exploring more of the physiology of FTs which will hold the key to producing high-quality embryos for patients seekingin vitro fertilization(IVF)treatments.

Meiosis is a specialized cell division for producing haploid gametes in sexually reproducing *** this study,we have independently identified a novel meiosis protein male meiosis recombination regulator(MAMERR)/4930432 K21 Rik and showed that it is indispensable for meiosis prophase I progression in male *** super-resolution structured illumination microscopy,we found that MAMERR functions at the same double-strand breaks as the replication protein A and meiosis-specific with Ob domains/spermatogenesis associated 22 *** generated a Mamerr-deficient mouse model by deleting exons 3 e6 and found that most of Mamerrà/àspermatocytes were arrested at pachynema and failed to progress to diplonema,although they exhibited almost intact synapsis and progression to the pachytene stage along with XY body *** mechanistic studies revealed that the recruitment of DMC1/RAD51 and heat shock factor 2 ebinding protein in Mamerrà/àspermatocytes was only mildly impaired with a partial reduction in double-strand break repair,whereas a substantial reduction in ubiquitination on the autosomal axes and on the XY body appeared as a major phenotype in Mamerrà/à*** propose that MAMERR may participate in meiotic prophase I progression by regulating the ubiquitination of key meiotic proteins on autosomes and XY chromosomes,and in the absence of MAMERR,the repressed ubiquitination of key meiotic proteins leads to pachytene arrest and cell death.

Embryo dormancy(embryo diapause) is a reproductive strategy used by approximately 100 different mammals to avoid the risk of exposing their offsprings to unfavourable environmental conditions by delaying embryo *** molecular mechanism of embryonic diapause is not yet *** hypothesize that endometrial exosome/microvesicles(EV) regulates embryo *** detected miRNA profiles in EV between dormant and activated uterine fluid and found that the members of let-7 family were highly expressed in dormant uterine fluid ***,embryos have ability to take up endometrial exosomes/*** examine the roles of let-7 in embryo dormancy,we eletroporated let-7 a into embryos and found that embryos electroporated with let-7 can be alive even after the culture for up to Day 13.18.8%of embryos from let-7 g transgenic mice developed to term after culture for 6 days(ie Day 10).Microarray analysis showed that 47%gene expression were similar between let-7-treated and P4-induced dormant embryos compared to D4 or E2-activated embryos and most of genes were related to cell cycle and *** results showed that let-7 has an important role in the process of embryo dormancy in *** level of let-7 was elevated in Iin28 transgenic embryos which were transferred into wild-type delayed implantation model for 3 *** result suggests that the increased levels of let-7 in dormant embryo were mainly derived from outside *** exosomes/microvesicle of highly expressed let-7 prolonged the survival time of embryos in *** conclusion,our results demonstrated that let-7 of endometrial exosomes/microvesicles regulated embryo dormancy in mice.

In human, the development of endometrium is regulated by steroid hormones and the endometrial lining undergoes cyclical morphological changes every 28 days. soon after fertilization, the developing embryo transverses to the fallopian tube and implants onto the endometriumn on days 19-24 of the menstrual cycle. This narrow period of time is commonly known as "receptive window".

successful implantation requires concerted interactions during the apposition,adhesion,and invasion of the embryo into a receptive ***,the embryo implantation rate for assisted reproduction remains low despite the transfer of good quality *** in endometrial transcriptomics,proteomics,lipidomics,and even microbiota all play important roles in embryo ***,the expression of steroid hormone-regulated adhesive and anti-adhesive molecules during the embryo implantation window is becoming an area of increasingly intense *** review(a)summarizes the different molecules expressed in the receptive endometrium and(b)proposes the use of surface protein markers to predict pregnancy outcomes from assisted reproduction.

Perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOs)is a persistent organic pollutant(POP)and emergent contaminant that are widespread in the *** the mechanisms controlling the distribution of PFOs and its isomers between hydrargillite and the water phase is important in order to study their redistribution and mobility in the *** study investigated the effects of pH,humic acid,fulvic acid and Na_(2)sO_(4) on sorption of PFOs isomers to hydrargillite.A mixture of PFOs isomers was spiked into water and hydrargillite was added to the system and shaken for one day;the system was tested with different aqueous *** of PFOs isomers in the aqueous phase were quantified using an ultra-performance liquid chromatograph coupled to a triple quadrupole mass *** results showed that the distribution coefficients of PFOs isomers were found to be 0.76,0.71,0.93 and 0.90 at pH 6.5,for 3-/4-/5-PFOs,6-/2-PFOs,L-PFOs and total PFOs *** distribution coefficients increased at lower pH and decreased at alkaline *** presence of humic substances(Hs)increased the sorption slightly at the environmental pH of 6.5,although a competition effect was observed during acidic conditions.A tendency of PFOs distribution to hydrargillite in the presence of Na_(2)sO_(4) was like its behavior in the presence of Hs although the mechanisms behind the sorption were interpreted *** study revealed that L-PFOs was readily sorbed when no other chemicals were added or in 20 mg/L FA or 100 mg/L Na_(2)sO_(4).We suggest that an increase in PFOs sorption in the presence of Hs may be due to hydrophobic mechanisms while Na_(2)sO_(4) contributed to increased sorption through ionic strength effects.

There is an increasing demand for advanced optical imaging techniques that can detect and resolve nanosize objects at a spatial resolution below the optical diffraction limit, especially in three-dimensional （3D） cellular environments. In this study, using a polarization-activated localization scheme based on the orientation-dependent properties of anisotropic plasmonic metal nanoparticles （MNPs）, ＂photoswitchable＂ imaging of single gold nanorods （AuNRs） was accomplished not only in two dimensions but also in three dimensions. Moreover, the Rayleigh scattering background arising from the congested subcellular structures was efficiently suppressed. Thus, we obtained the 3D distributions of both the position and the orientation of the AuNRs inside the cells and investigated their intemalization kinetics. To our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of the confocal-like 3D imaging of non-fluorescence nanoparticles with a high resolution and almost zero background. This technique is easy to implement and should greatly facilitate MNP studies and applications in biomedicine and biology.
