Around the world human communities and natural ecosystems both rely on headwater regions for vital resources. resources provided include groundwater sto- rage （Flint et al., 2008; Clilverd et al., 2011; Cao et al., 2012） in addition to soil moisture and forest ecosystem dynamics （McNamara et al., 2005; williams et al., 2009; Jencso and McGlynn, 2011; Smith et al., 2011; Harpold et al., 2015; Webb et al., 2015）. Furthermore these regions are ecologically vital zones （Schlosser, 1995; Lowe and Likens, 2005） that impact downstream water quality （Peterson et al., 2001; Alexander et al., 2007）.

In a recent study in Nature,Junqueira et *** evidence that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SArS-CoV-2)infects human monocytes and lung macrophages.1 The infection is antibody-mediated via Fc-receptors(Fcγrs),and activates NLrP3 and AIM2 inflammasomes,which in turn induce pyroptosis and halt viral *** monocytes secrete the proinflammatory cytokines interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and IL-18,which contribute to systemic inflammation and severe coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19)(Fig.1).

Type 1 diabetes(T1D)is an autoimmune disease characterized by the destruction of insulin-producingβ-cells of the pancreatic islets by autoreactive T cells,leading to high blood glucose levels and severe long-term *** typical treatment indicated in T1D is exogenous insulin administration,which controls glucose levels;however,it does not stop the autoimmune *** strategies have been implemented aimed at stoppingβ-cell destruction,such as cellular *** cells(DCs)as an alternative in cellular therapy have gained great interest for autoimmune disease therapy due to their plasticity to acquire immunoregulatory properties both in vivo and in vitro,performing functions such as anti-inflammatory cytokine secretion and suppression of autoreactive lymphocytes,which are dependent of their tolerogenic phenotype,displayed by features such as semimature phenotype,low surface expression of stimulatory molecules to prime T cells,as well as the elevated expression of inhibitory *** may be obtained and propagated easily in optimal amounts from peripheral blood or bone marrow precursors,such as monocytes or hematopoietic stem cells,respectively;therefore,various protocols have been established for tolerogenic(tol)DCs manufacturing for therapeutic research in the treatment of *** this review,we address the current advances in the use of tolDCs for T1D therapy,encompassing protocols for their manufacturing,the data obtained from preclinical studies carried out,and the status of clinical research evaluating the safety,feasibility,and effectiveness of tolDCs.

Silica is a versatile pigment for ink jet media. Micronized silica gel is the worldwide standard for high performance matte ink jet media. For glossy ink jet media, several different forms of silica are widely used. Submicron silica gel dispersions, with either anionic or cationic surfaces, can be employed in either absorptive basecoat layers or in the glossy ink receptive top layer. Colloidal silica, with a variety of particle sizes and surface modifications, is utilized extensively in glossy top layers. It will show how various silica pigments can be utilized in glossy ink receptive coatings, both in cast based glossy media and rC based glossy media. Several novel silica pigments will be examined by relating the physical properties of the pigments and the formula variables to the print quality of the ink jet media.

The purposes of this paper are to better understand the design and impact of left turn lane offset and provide state transportation agencies recommendations on best practices and alternative design options to address left turn sight line obstruction *** studies and existing guidelines on left turn lane offset were reviewed and summarized to offer insights in driver sight distance and behavior,intersection safety and operations,as well as design elements related to left turn lane *** showed that at both unsignalized intersections and signalized intersections with permitted left turns,obstructed sight line could cause higher possibilities of collisions between left turning vehicles and oncoming vehicles from the opposing *** evaluations of left turn lane offset,with data from multiple states in the United States,reported that positive left turn lane offsets were beneficial in terms of safety and *** agency guidelines provided very limited discussions about left turn lane *** review demonstrated that positive left turn lane offsets are beneficial to intersection safety and *** on the review of research and guidelines,recommendations were provided for transportation agencies for left turn lane offset implementation.A discussion on new left turn design concepts was also included to point out directions for future research and practice.

Postpartum psychosis is a severe psychiatric condition which affects 1-2 of every 1000 mothers shortly after childbirth. Whilst there is convincing evidence that the condition is precipitated by a complex combination of biological and environmental factors, as yet the pathophysiological mechanisms remain extremely poorly defined. Here, I critically review approaches that have been, or are being, employed to identify and characterise such mechanisms; I also review a recent animal model approach, and describe a novel biological risk model that it suggests. Clarification of biological risk mechanisms underlying disorder risk should permit the identification of relevant predictive biomarkers which will ensure that "at risk" subjects receive prompt clinical intervention if required.
