A 67-year-old woman underwent an orthotopic liver transplantation for end stage liver disease secondary to chronic autoimmune hepatitis. She developed sudden massive hematochezia on post-operative day 23 with hemodynamic compromise. The source of hemorrhage was found at colonoscopy after careful irrigation and inspection to be a dieulafoy lesion situated just proximal to the anorectal junction. Hemostasis was achieved with epinephrine injection and thermal coagulation.

The film thickness should be known for extrazting the intrinsic surface resistance from the effective surface resistance as measured by using the dielectric resonator method. Thicknesses of 70 nm to 360 nm are measured for YBa2 Cu3 O7-δ films in a non-invasive way by using the two-resonant-mode dielectric resonator （TDR） method. A futile resonator with the respective resonant frequencies of 15.25-15.61 GHz and 15.10-15.37 GHz for the TE021 and the TE012 modes is used for this purpose. Differences between the values as measured by using the TDR technique and those measured by using a step profilometer appear to be less than 3%, which is smaller than the previous value of 5% as measured by using a 8. 6 GHz single-resonance mode futile resonator [Lee et al. j. Korean Phys. Soc. 54（2009）1619]. Merits of using the TDR method are discussed.

Understanding the defect characteristics that occur near the space-charge regions(SCRs)of kesterite(CZTSSe)solar cells is important because the recombination loss at the CZTSSe/CdS interface is considered the main cause of their low *** surfaces with different elemental compositions were formed without polishing(C00)and with polishing for 20 s(C20)and 60 s(C60).For C60,a specific region near the SCR was excessively Cu-rich and Zn-poor compared to C00 and *** charged defects formed where the elemental variation was *** the main deep acceptor defect energy level(E_(a2))near the SCR increased,the efficiency,open-circuit voltage deficit,and current density degraded,and this phenomenon was especially rapid for large E_(a2) *** the E_(a2) near the SCR became deep,the carrier diffusion length decreased more for the CZTSSe solar cells with a low carrier mobility than for the CuInGaSe_(2)(CIGSe)solar *** large amplitude of the electrostatic potential fluctuation in the CZTSSe solar cells induced a high carrier recombination and a short carrier ***,the properties of the CZTSSe solar cells were more strongly degraded by defects with deep energy levels near the SCR than those of the CIGSe solar cells.

nasopharyngeal carcinoma(nPC)is a malignant disease associated with Epstein–Barr virus(EBV)*** study aims to examine the effects of EBV infection on the production of proinflammatory cytokines in nPC cells after the Zn-BC-AM photodynamic therapy(PDT)*** were treated with the photosensitiser Zn-BC-AM for 24 h before light *** ELISA was used to evaluate the production of *** the same experimental condition,HK-1-EBV cells produced a higher basal level of IL-1a(1561 pg/ml),IL-1b(16.6 pg/ml)and IL-8(422.9 pg/ml)than the HK-1 *** the light dose of 0.25–0.5 j/cm2,Zn-BC-AM PDT-treated HK-1-EBV cells were found to produce a higher level of IL-1a and IL-1b than the HK-1 *** production of IL-1b appeared to be mediated via the IL-1b-converting enzyme(ICE)-independent *** contrast,the production of angiogenic IL-8 was downregulated in both HK-1 and HK-1-EBV cells after Zn-BC-AM *** results suggest that Zn-BC-AM PDT might indirectly reduce tumour growth through the modulation of cytokine production.
