OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs(TCMHs) as an adjunctive treatment for diabetic foot(DF).METHODS: The sources used were Pub Med(1966 to August 2015), the Cochrane Library(1988 to August 2015), the Excerpta Medica Database(1974 to August 2015), Wiley(1807 to August 2015), Ovid(1988 to August 2015), Clinical ***(1993 to August 2015), the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials(1966 to August 2015), China Science and Technology Journal Database(1994 to August2015), Chi CTR(2007 to August 2015), Sino Med(1978 to August 2015), the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(1984 to August 2015), Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform(1998 to August 2015), and the Traditional Chinese Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System(TCMLARS)(1984 to August 2015). Studies were identified and selected, and the data were extracted by two independent reviewers. The Cochrane Risk of Bias tool was used to assess the quality of studies. Revman 5.2 software was used for data synthesis and ***: Sixteen studies were included based on the selection criteria. Of these, seven studies had low bias risk and one had high bias risk. In the overall analysis, TCMHs resulted in a significantly higher total effective rate(OR 5.08; 95% CI 3.50 to7.36; P < 0.000 01), cure rate(OR 2.12; 95% CI1.63 to 2.77; P < 0.000 01), and shorter time to ulcer healing(SMD-0.64; 95% CI-0.89 to-0.40;P < 0.000 01) when compared with non-TCMHs treated DF. The analysis also revealed that significantly fewer amputations occurred in TCMHs patients(OR 0.36; 95% CI 0.20 to 0.65; P = 0.0007).Sensitivity analysis indicated that the findings of the Meta-analysis were robust to study quality,and the funnel plot of the Egger test showed no publication ***: TCMHs intervention appears to be more effective for DF, with a similar safety profile,when compared with non-TCMHs treatments, although this result requires further verification

Cubic silicon carbide(3C-SiC)has superior mobility and thermal conduction over that of widely applied hexagonal ***,much lower concentration of interfacial traps between insulating oxide gate and 3C-SiC helps fabricate reliable and long-life devices like metal-oxidesemiconductor field effect ***,the growth of high-quality and wafer-scale 3C-SiC crystals has remained a big challenge up to now despite decades-long efforts by researchers because of its easy transformation into other polytypes during growth,limiting the development of 3C-SiC-based ***,we report that 3C-SiC can be made thermodynamically favored from nucleation to growth on a 4H-SiC substrate by top-seeded solution growth technique,beyond what is expected by classical nucleation *** enables the steady growth of high-quality and large-size 3C-SiC crystals(2-4-inch in diameter and 4.0-10.0 mm in thickness)*** as-grown 3C-SiC crystals are free of other polytypes and have high-crystalline *** findings broaden the mechanism of hetero-seed crystal growth and provide a feasible route to mass production of 3C-SiC crystals,offering new opportunities to develop power electronic devices potentially with better performances than those based on 4H-SiC.

Background:Ethoxyquin(EQ)is a common antioxidant which is widely used in animal *** the supplement of EQ in animal feed may lead to the residues of EQ and its major oxidation products:ethoxyquin quinone imine(EQI)and ethoxyquin dimer(EQDM)in animal ***,it would pose potential health hazards to ***,the method for the simultaneous determination of EQ,EQI and EQDM in animal tissues is currently not available,and the accumulation extend of these chemicals in animal tissues after EQ administration remains to be ***:A gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method was successfully developed for the simultaneous determination of EQ,EQI and EQDM in swine *** quantitative limits of EQ,EQI and EQDM can achieve to 0.5,5.0 and 5.0μg/kg in swine tissues,*** spiked-recovery ratios of the three analytes(5–2000μg/kg)were in the range of 64.7%–100.7%with relative standard deviations below 11.6%.Moreover,the utilization of this method for the analysis of actual swine tissue samples revealed that the application of commercial EQ additive in swine diet would produce the residues of all the three chemicals(EQ,EQI and EQDM)in fat,kidney,liver and ***:The assay accuracy and precision of this GC-MS/MS method can meet the requirement of quantitative ***,the safety of EQ as a feed additive should be seriously considered with regard to food safety concerns since the oxidation product of EQ may have potential carcinogenicity.

Optical solitons in mode-locked fiber lasers and optical communication links have various applications. Thestudy of transmission modes of optical solitons necessitates the investigation of the relationship between theequation parameters and soliton evolution employing deep learning techniques. However, the existing identificationmodels exhibit a limited parameter domain search range and are significantly influenced by ***, they often result in divergence toward incorrect parameter values. This study harnessed reinforcementlearning to revamp the iterative process of the parameter identification model. By developing a two-stageoptimization strategy, the model could conduct an accurate parameter search across arbitrary domains. Theinvestigation involved several experiments on various standard and higher-order equations, illustrating that theinnovative model overcame the impact of initialization on the parameter search, and the identified parametersare guided toward their correct values. The enhanced model markedly improves the experimental efficiency andholds significant promise for advancing the research of soliton propagation dynamics and addressing intricatescenarios.

Mg-3Al-1zn(Az31)sheets were produced by transverse gradient extrusion(TGE)*** flow behavior and dynamic recrystallization during extrusion were systematically *** microstructures,textures,and mechanical behavior of extruded Az31 sheet were also analyzed and compared with conventional extruded(CE)*** results showed that fine grain structure and multi-type unique textures were formed in TGE sheet because of the generation of extra flow velocity along transverse direction(TD)and flow velocity gradient along extrusion direction(ED)during *** basal poles gradually deviated away normal direction(ND)from edge to center of the TGE sheet along TD,and the largest inclination angle at center region reached around 65°.Furthermore,the basal poles inclined from ED to TD 40°-63°,except for the center region of TGE *** TGE sheet presented higher ductility and strain hardening exponent(n-value),but lower yield strength and Lankford value(r-value)in comparison with the CE *** the basalslip and tensile twins were easy to be activated during deformation,and the largest elongation of 41%and the lowest yield strength of 86.5 MPa were obtained for the ED-center sample in the TGE sheet.

The challenge of researching Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems(GIAHS)as complex systems forms the subject matter of this *** adaptive systems are those that combine natural ecological processes with human interactions to produce a mutually supportive agro-ecological *** China,these highly varied systems have the added dimension of long historical time,in that they have evolved over many centuries and thus add a historical dimension to the natural and human dimensions of *** preparing research on GIAHS,it is clear that seeing GIAHS sites as whole systems is an essential starting and ending *** the adaptive capacity of a GIAHS with its multiple scales and complex interdependencies is a major challenge for researchers accustomed to specialized disciplinary thinking.A GIAHS represents a mature agro-ecological system with human agency as a central component that has been honed over many centuries,and has already adapted to many perturbations and *** beauty of the GIAHS is in the integration of custom,knowledge,and practice,and it should be studied for its"wholeness"as well as for its resilience and capacity for"self organization."The agro-ecological approach opens the possibility of researching a system as a whole and of taking its complexity *** study reviews the essential features of the GIAHS as a complex adaptive system where uncertainty is normal and surprise is welcome and,in a case study of Qingtian rice–fish culture system,focuses on new perturbations,namely loss of young people and the introduction of tourism.
