In this study,we developed a system based on deep space–time neural networks for gesture recognition.When users change or the number of gesture categories increases,the accuracy of gesture recognition decreases considerably because most gesture recognition systems cannot accommodate both user differentiation and gesture diversity.To overcome the limitations of existing methods,we designed a onedimensional parallel long short-term memory–fully convolutional network(LSTM–FCN)model to extract gesture features of different dimensions.LSTM can learn complex time dynamic information,whereas FCN can predict gestures efficiently by extracting the deep,abstract features of gestures in the spatial dimension.In the experiment,50 types of gestures of five users were collected and evaluated.The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this system and robustness to various gestures and individual changes.Statistical analysis of the recognition results indicated that an average accuracy of approximately 98.9% was achieved.

Inherited retinal dystrophies (IRDs) are major causes of visual impairment and irreversible blindness worldwide, while the precise molecular and genetic mechanisms are still elusive. N6-methyladenosine (m^(6)A) modification is the most prevalent internal modification in eukaryotic mRNA. YTH domain containing 2 (YTHDC2), an m^(6)A reader protein, has recently been identified as a key player in germline development and human cancer. However, its contribution to retinal function remains unknown. Here, we explore the role of YTHDC2 in the visual function of retinal rod photoreceptors by generating rod-specific Ythdc2 knockout mice. Results show that Ythdc2 deficiency in rods causes diminished scotopic ERG responses and progressive retinal degeneration. Multi-omics analysis further identifies Ppef2 and Pde6b as the potential targets of YTHDC2 in the retina. Specifically, via its YTH domain, YTHDC2 recognizes and binds m^(6)A-modified Ppef2 mRNA at the coding sequence and Pde6b mRNA at the 5′-UTR, resulting in enhanced translation efficiency without affecting mRNA levels. Compromised translation efficiency of Ppef2 and Pde6b after YTHDC2 depletion ultimately leads to decreased protein levels in the retina, impaired retinal function, and progressive rod death. Collectively, our finding highlights the importance of YTHDC2 in visual function and photoreceptor survival, which provides an unreported elucidation of IRD pathogenesis via epitranscriptomics.

Truth discovery aims to resolve conflicts among multiple sources and find the truth. Conventional methods for truth discovery mainly investigate the mutual effect between the reliability of sources and the credibility of statements. These methods use real numbers, which have a lower representation capability than vectors to represent the reliability. In addition, neural networks have not been used for truth discovery. In this work, we propose memory-network-based models to address truth discovery. Our proposed models use feedforward and feedback memory networks to learn the representation of the credibility of statements. Specifically, our models adopt a memory mechanism to learn the reliability of sources for truth prediction. The proposed models use categorical and continuous data during model learning by automatically assigning different weights to the loss function on the basis of their own effects. Experimental results show that our proposed models outperform state-of-the-art methods for truth discovery.

Compared with traditional plastic forming,ultrasonic vibration plastic forming has the advantages of reducing the forming force and improving the surface quality of the workpiece.This technology has a very broad application prospect in industrial manufactur-ing.Researchers have conducted extensive research on the ultrasonic vibration plastic forming of metals and laid a deep foundation for the development of this field.In this review,metals were classified according to their crystal structures.The effects of ultrasonic vibration on the microstructure of face-centered cubic,body-centered cubic,and hexagonal close-packed metals during plastic forming and the mech-anism underlying ultrasonic vibration forming were reviewed.The main challenges and future research direction of the ultrasonic vibra-tion plastic forming of metals were also discussed.

Cesium lead halide perovskite(CsPbX_(3),X=Cl,Br,I)quantum dots(QDs)and their partly Mn^(2+)-substituted QDs(CsPb1–xMnxX3)attract considerable attention owing to their unique photoluminescence(PL)efficiencies.The two types of QDs,having different PL decay dynamics,needed to be further investigated in a form of aggregates to understand their solid-state-induced exciton dynamics in conjunction with their behaviors upon degradation to achieve practical applications of those promising QDs.However,thus far,these QDs have not been sufficiently investigated to obtain deep insights related to the long-term stability of their PL properties as aggregated solid-states.Therefore,in this study,we comparatively examined CsPbX_(3)-and CsPb1–xMnxX_(3)-type QDs stocked for>50 d under dark ambient conditions by using excitation wavelength-dependent PL quantum yield and time-resolved PL spectroscopy.These investigations were performed with powder samples in addition to solutions to determine the influence of the inter-QD interaction of the aged QD aggregates on their radiative decays.It turns out that the Mn^(2+)-substituted QDs exhibited long-lasting PL quantum efficiencies,while the unsubstituted CsPbX_(3)-type QDs exhibited a drastic reduction of their PL efficiencies.And the obtained PL traces were clearly sensitive to the sample status.This is discussed with the possible interaction depending on the size and distance of the QD aggregates.

A new kind of inorganic composite adsorbent based on chitin whiskers（CHW） and potassium tetratitanate whiskers（PTW） was synthesized via the thermal deposition to remove Cu2＋ and Pb2＋ from wastewater. CHW could be successfully coated on the surface of PTW when thermal treated 8 times. The adsorption process was better fitted with the Langmuir and Freundlich models. The adsorption process was more conformed to the Pseudo-second-order model. The results from XPS（X-ray photoelectron spectrum） further show that the adsorption mechanism between CHW-PTW and Cu2＋, Pb2＋ are both ion exchange and chemical adsorption. Thermodynamic parameters suggest that the adsorption processes are nonspontaneous. The adsorption of Cu2＋ and Pb2＋ is endothermic and exothermic, respectively.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fermented mixed feed(FMF)on growth performance,carcass traits,meat quality,muscle amino acid and fatty acid composition and mRNA expression levels of genes related to lipid metabolism in finishing pigs.In the present study,144 finishing pigs(Duroc×Berkshire×Jiaxing Black)were randomly allocated to 3 dietary treatments with 4 replicate pens per group and 12 pigs per pen.The dietary treatments included a basal diet(CON),a basal diet+5%FMF and a basal diet+10%FMF.The experiment lasted 38 d after 4 d of acclimation.The results showed that 5%and 10%FMF significantly increased the average daily gain(ADG)of the females but not the males(P<0.05),but FMF supplementation showed no impact on carcass traits.Moreover,10%FMF supplementation increased the meat color45 min and meat color24 h values,while it decreased the shear force relative to CON(P<0.05).In addition,10%FMF significantly increased the contents of flavor amino acids(FAA),total essential AA(EAA),total non-EAA(NEAA)and total AA relative to CON(P<0.05).Furthermore,the diet supplemented with 10%FMF significantly increased the concentration of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA),n-6 PUFA and total PUFA,and the PUFA to saturated fatty acids ratio(P<0.05),suggesting that FMF supplementation increased meat quality.Moreover,compared with the CON,10%FMF supplementation increased the mRNA expression of lipogenic genes,including CEBPα,PPARγ,SREBP1 and FABP4,and upregulated the expression of unsaturated fatty acid synthesis(ACAA1 and FADS2).Together,our results suggest that 10%FMF dietary supplementation improved the female pigs’growth performance,improved the meat quality and altered the profiles of muscle fatty acids and amino acids in finishing pigs.This study provides a reference for the production of high-quality pork.

A label-free fluorescent aptasensor for specific and ultrasensitive monitoring ochratoxin A（OTA） was developed using the specific aptamer of OTA（OSA） as recognition dement, an aggregation-induced emission（AIE） molecule（a 9,10-distyrylanthracene with two ammonium groups, DSAI） as a fluorescent probe, and graphene oxide（GO） as a quencher. In the absence of OTA, the AIE probe DSAI and OSA complex（DSAI/OSA） is adsorbed on the GO surface, and the fluorescence of DSAI will be quenched efficiently via the fluorescence resonance energy transfer（FRET） from DSAI to GO. Upon the OTA addition, a more stable complex（OSA-OTA） is formed and released from GO. Meanwhile, DSAI and OSA-OTA can form a new complex（DSAI/OSA-OTA）, then the fluorescent signal of DSAI recovers gradually. Therefore, by introducing GO and DSAI, the fluorescence signal of DSAI can be easily turned from ＂off＂ to ＂on＂ after the addition of OTA, and the ultrasensitive detection of OTA by monitoring the change of the fluorescence signal of DSAI can be readily realized. The detection limit of the assay can reach 0.324 nmol/L with a linear detection range of 10-200 nmol/L. And the aptasensor exhibits high selectivity for OTA against other analogues. Moreover, it has been successfully applied for the detection of OTA in red wine samples.
