Nanoparticle-enhanced coolants(NPECs)are increasingly used in minimum quantity lubrication(MQL)machining as a green lubricant to replace conventional cutting fluids to meet the urgent need for carbon emissions and achieve sustainable ***,the thermophysical properties of NPEC during processing remain unclear,making it difficult to provide precise guidance and selection principles for industrial ***,this paper reviews the action mechanism,processing properties,and future development directions of ***,the laws of influence of nano-enhanced phases and base fluids on the processing performance are revealed,and the dispersion stabilization mechanism of NPEC in the preparation process is ***,the unique molecular structure and physical properties of NPECs are combined to elucidate their unique mechanisms of heat transfer,penetration,and antifriction ***,the effect of NPECs is investigated on the basis of their excellent lubricating and cooling properties by comprehensively and quantitatively evaluating the material removal characteristics during machining in turning,milling,and grinding *** showed that turning of Ti‒6Al‒4V with multi-walled carbon nanotube NPECs with a volume fraction of 0.2%resulted in a 34%reduction in tool wear,an average decrease in cutting force of 28%,and a 7%decrease in surface roughness Ra,compared with the conventional flood ***,research gaps and future directions for further applications of NPECs in the industry are presented.

N6-methyladenosine methylation(m6A)is a common type of epigenetic alteration that prominently affects the prognosis of tumor ***,it is unknown how the m6A regulator affects the tumor microenvironment(TME)cell infiltration in adrenocortical carcinoma(ACC)and how it affects the prognosis of ACC patients *** m6A alteration patterns of 112 ACC patients were evaluated,furthermore,the association with immune infiltration cell features was *** unsupervised clustering method was applied to typify the m6A alteration patterns of ACC *** principal component analysis(PCA)technique was taken to create the m6A score to assess the alteration pattern in specific *** found two independent patterns of m6A alteration in ACC *** TME cell infiltration features were significantly in accordance with phenotypes of tumor immune-inflamed and immune desert in both *** m6Ascore also served as an independent predictive factor in ACC *** somatic copy number variation(CNV)and patients prognosis can be predicted by m6A alteration ***,the ACC patients with high m6A scores had better overall survival(OS)and higher efficiency in immune checkpoint blockade *** work demonstrated the significance of m6A alteration to the ACC patients *** individual m6A alteration patterns analysis might contribute to ACC patients prognosis prediction and immunotherapy choice.

Circular dichroism (CD) is extensively used in various material systems for applications including biological detection,enantioselective catalysis,and chiral *** paper introduces a chiral absorptive metasurface that exhibits a circular polarization-selective effect in dual bands-positive and negative CD peaks at short wavelengths and long wavelengths,***,we uncover that this phenomenon extends beyond the far-field optical response,as it is also observed in the photothermal effect and the dynamics of thermally induced fluid *** carefully engineering the metasurface design,we achieve two distinct CD signals with high g factors (1) at the wavelengths of 877 nm and 1045 nm,*** findings presented in this study advance our comprehension of CD and offer promising prospects for enhancing chiral light–matter interactions in the domains of nanophotonics and optofluidics.

Dear Editor,Immune checkpoint therapies manipulating the immune system to eliminate tumor cells have shown remarkable clinical efficacy in treating various ***47,an emerging efficient immune checkpoint,is crucial for cancer cells to evade macrophagemediated phagocytosis by interaction with signal-regulatory proteinα(SIRPα).Antibodies blocking the CD47/SIRPαinteraction have been effective to promote macrophage-mediated phagocytosis in various types of cancer in mice and ***47 is not only highly expressed in tumor cells,but also normal cells,such as red blood cells(RBCs).Thus,during clinical trials involving cancer patients,anti-CD47 antibodies may promote the macrophagesmediated phagocytosis of RBCs,ultimately inducing undesirable anemia side *** contrast,small molecule inhibitors interrupting CD47/SIRPαaxis have shown potential to overcome the anemia,possibly due to their lower immunogenicity and shorter half-life compared to antibodies.1 Hence,developing the novel strategies,especially those without the anemia side effect,to intervene in CD47/SIRPαinteraction will benefit cancer immunotherapy.

High carrier recombination loss at the metal and silicon contact regions is one of the dominant factors constraining the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of crystalline silicon(c-Si)solar *** compound-based carrier-selective contacts are being intensively developed to address this *** this work,we present a high-performance electron-selective SiO_(x)/MgO_(x)contact for c-Si solar *** SiO_(x)/MgO_(x)stack is prepared by thermally-grown SiO_(x)(∼0.7 nm)and thermally-evaporated MgO_(x)(~1.0 nm).The electron selectivity of SiO_(x)/MgO_(x)contact is investigated by measuring the surface passivation and the contact resistivity(ρ_(c))on the c-Si *** results demonstrate that optimized SiO_(x)/MgO_(x)contact displays a very lowρ_(c)(3.4 mΩcm^(2))and a good surface passivation on an n-type c-Si surface simultaneously.A high PCE of 21.1%is achieved on an n-type c-Si solar cell featuring a full-area SiO_(x)/MgO_(x)rear contact.

Challenges in applying REE-based thermobarometers: Insights from mafic-ultramafic granulites in Indian southern granulite terrain

High-temperature diffusion of major elements may obscure the records of early and peak metamorphic stages in granulites,while trace elements are more likely to preserve these records due to their lower diffusion ***,using calibrated REE-based thermobarometers has proved essential for reconstructing these key stages,drawing considerable attention and application from ***,the precision of these thermobarometers depends on including both major and trace elements from coexisting minerals to define the correlation coefficients（A,B,and D） among mineral pairs,indicating that the elemental composition of these pairs can affect the *** study examines the mafic-ultramafic granulites in the southern granulite terrain,India,employing integrated methods such as petrography,mineral chemistry,phase equilibrium modeling,and REE-based *** aim to determine their metamorphic conditions and evolutionary history and to identify potential challenges in using REE-based *** garnet,clinopyroxene,and orthopyroxene in the mafic-ultramafic granulite samples display homogeneous compositional profiles,with pronounced Fe-Mg diffusion zones at the interfaces between garnet and ***,the profiles of trace elements within garnet and clinopyroxene are better *** into Fe-Mg exchange and randomly selected mineral pairs significantly influence the accuracy of REE-based ***-Mg exchange can increase in coefficient A,while decreasing coefficient B for light rare earth elements（LREEs） and increasing it for heavy rare earth elements（HREEs）,ultimately resulting in overestimations when calculating REE-based *** example,selecting major compositions with an Ex(=(XMgC-XMg0)/XMg0×100%;where XMgCis the value after Fe-Mg exchange,XMg0is the value before Fe-Mg exchange;XMg=Mg/(Fe2++Mg)) value of ～10 for calculation using the REE-in-Grt-Cpx thermobarometer will result in pressures and t

目的探讨红细胞免疫抗体引起的新生儿溶血病病例的母婴实验室检测结果、临床表现及治疗。方法回顾性分析4例红细胞免疫抗体引起的新生儿溶血病患儿及母亲产前相关实验室及临床资料。结果 4例患儿的母亲在孕期分别检测出IgG性质的红细胞抗E、抗D、抗Jkb及自身抗体;效价分别为16、2 048、1及16。患儿均足月分娩,但生后6 h^3 d出现不同程度的皮肤黄染,伴或不伴贫血。患儿红细胞放散试验发现存在与母体相同的抗体,效价分别为4、512、0及2。患儿均予光照治疗,2例重症患儿予换血及输血治疗,均预后良好。结论孕妇产前免疫血液学检查有助于及早发现红细胞不规则抗体以评估胎儿及新生儿溶血病风险。

We present a tunable terahertz(THz)spectrum analyzer with hyperspectral resolution formed from electrically tunable metamaterial and plasmonic *** few as eight encoders based on four detectors are needed to recover 396 spectral *** incident spectra in the range of 1–5 THz can be reconstructed with a localization precision of 0.3 GHz and a minimum average mean squared error(MSE)of 6.9×10−*** proposed analyzers are faster and more portable than those based on frequency combs and power meters,and more accurate than existing Fourier transform techniques,showing promising applications in pathology,biomedical imaging,and many other areas.

Sweet potato(Ipomoea batatas[L.]Lam.)is a crucial staple and bioenergy *** abiotic stress tolerance holds significant importance in fully utilizing marginal *** processes regulate abiotic stress responses,yet the molecular regulatory mechanisms in sweet potato remain *** this study,a NAC(NAM,ATAF1/2,and CUC2)transcription factor,IbNAC087,was identified,which is commonly upregulated in salt-and drought-tolerant *** of IbNAC087 increased salt and drought tolerance by increasing jasmonic acid(JA)accumulation and activating reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging,whereas silencing this gene resulted in opposite ***-rich IbNAC087-OE(overexpression)plants exhibited more stomatal closure than wild-type(WT)and IbNAC087-Ri plants under NaCl,polyethylene glycol,and methyl jasmonate ***087 functions as a nuclear transcriptional activator and directly activates the expression of the key JA biosynthesisrelated genes lipoxygenase(IbLOX)and allene oxide synthase(IbAOS).Moreover,IbNAC087 physically interacted with a RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase NAC087-INTERACTING E3 LIGASE(IbNIEL),negatively regulating salt and drought tolerance in sweet *** ubiquitinated IbNAC087 to promote 26S proteasome degradation,which weakened its activation on IbLOX and *** findings provide insights into the mechanism underlying the IbNIEL-IbNAC087 module regulation of JA-dependent salt and drought response in sweet potato and provide candidate genes for improving abiotic stress tolerance in crops.
