OCTA characteristics in non-arteritic central retinal artery occlusion and correlation with visual acuity

AIM:To observe the retinal and choroidal circulations in patients with non-arteritic permanent central retinal artery occlusion(NA-CRAO)via optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)and analyze their correlation with visual ***:Sixty-two eyes with clinically confirmed acute NA-CRAO were included in the study and divided into:A type(mild n=29),B type(moderate n=27)and C type(severe n=6)based on the degree of visual loss,retinal edema,and arterial blood flow delay in fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA).Contralateral healthy eyes were used as the control ***-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),slit lamp microscopy,indirect ophthalmoscopy,fundus color photography,OCTA,and FFA were ***’s correlation analysis was used to determine the correlations between retinal and choroidal vessels and visual ***:There were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,and intraocular pressure among the three types and the control group(P>0.05).Vessel density in deep capillary plexus(VD-DCP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in all three types of NA-CRAO patients compared to the control *** density in superficial vascular plexus(VD-SVP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type A patients and choriocapillaris flow area significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type B and type C patients compared to the control group;while outer retinal flow areas significantly increased in the type A(P<0.05)and decreased in type C patients(P<0.05).The retinal thickness significantly increased in type C group(P<0.05).The VD-SVP at fovea in the type A was significantly lower than both of type B and *** VD-SVP at nasal parafovea in type A and B was significantly lower than type C(P<0.05).The logMAR BCVA of type A was significantly better than that of type B and C groups(P<0.05).Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the logMAR BCVA was positively correlated with VD-SVP at fovea(r=0.679,P=0.031)and nasal parafovea(r=0.826,P=0.013).CONCLUSION:OCTA is valua

There are urgent needs of volatile amine gas sensors with high-performance in food quality control,disease monitoring and environmental ***-film fluorescent probe is suitable for amine vapour sensing due to its high sensitivity,high selectivity,and no polluting ***,a novel fluorescent probe based on indacenodithiophene structure withπconjugated system was designed and *** experimental results show that the films prepared by this material exhibit rapid and distinct fluorescence quenching after being exposed to saturated vapours of primary amine,secondary amine and tertiary amine represented by n-propylamine,diethylamine and trimethylamine,*** quenching of fluorescence is 84%,87%and 96%,respectively,within 10 *** detection mechanism of probe for primary amine is based on specific chemical reaction,while the detection mechanism for secondary amine and tertiary amine is intramolecular charge *** experiments show that the detection limit of the fluorescent probe for trimethylamine,an important marker of food spoilage,could reach 4.610 ***-site detection based on spoilage of small yellow croaker suggests the material possesses the potential for food freshness *** simple fluorogenic probe is an original approach to simplify real-time visual monitoring of volatile amine vapour.

Multi-User Semantic Fusion for Semantic Communications over Degraded Broadcast Channels

Degraded broadcast channels(DBC) are a typical multiuser communication scenario, Semantic communications over DBC still lack in-depth research. In this paper, we design a semantic communications approach based on multi-user semantic fusion for wireless image transmission over DBC. The transmitter extracts semantic features for two users separately and then effectively fuses them for broadcasting by leveraging semantic similarity. Unlike traditional allocation of time, power, or bandwidth, the semantic fusion scheme can dynamically control the weight of the semantic features of the two users to balance their performance. Considering the different channel state information(CSI) of both users over DBC,a DBC-Aware method is developed that embeds the CSI of both users into the joint source-channel coding encoder and fusion module to adapt to the *** results show that the proposed system outperforms the traditional broadcasting schemes.

α-Lactalbumin(a-lac),a natural food-sourced protein,exhibits high biocompatibility as delivery systems for small bioactive molecules or ***,their potential clinical application as a delivery system is greatly limited due to the 1ack of targeting to desired tissues,such as ***,a delivery system/nanocarier of nantube(NT)was fabricated by the self-assembly of peptides hydrolyzed from *** the 1oading of anti-tumor agents of doxorubicin(Dox)and siRNA,NTs were conjugated with the tLyp-1 peptide to specifially target the neuropilin 1 receptor,which exists on the membrane of MDA-MB-231 cancer *** micromonphology of NTs was not affected during the processes of 1oading and targeting ***,no significant changes in the size and zeta potential of the tI yp-1/NTs/Dox/siRNA nanocarrier were observed when stored in phosphate buffered saline for 7 days,indicating outstanding ***,both the cellular uptake efficiency and tumor accumulation effects of NTs on MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells were significantly improved after modification with *** relative viability of MDA-MB-231 cells was decreased by 70.1%in viro after treatmnent with tLyp-1/NTs/Dox/siRNA(5μg/mL Dox).Finally,a synergistic anticancer effect of Dox and siRNA co-loaded in tLyp-1/NTs was achieved in the anticancer treatment of MDA-MB-231 tumor-bearing *** findings indicate that food-sourced protein a-lac nanocarriers could be used for the co-delivery of bioactive molecules and RNA,achieving synergistic and effcient therapeutic effects.

SCIRD: Revealing Infection of Malicious Software in Edge Computing-Enabled IoT Networks

The Internet of Things(IoT)has characteristics such as node mobility,node heterogeneity,link heterogeneity,and topology *** the face of the IoT characteristics and the explosive growth of IoT nodes,which brings about large-scale data processing requirements,edge computing architecture has become an emerging network architecture to support IoT applications due to its ability to provide powerful computing capabilities and good service ***,the defense mechanism of Edge Computing-enabled IoT Nodes(ECIoTNs)is still weak due to their limited resources,so that they are susceptible to malicious software spread,which can compromise data confidentiality and network service *** this situation,we put forward an epidemiology-based susceptible-curb-infectious-removed-dead(SCIRD)***,we analyze the dynamics of ECIoTNs with different infection levels under different initial conditions to obtain the dynamic differential ***,we establish the presence of equilibrium states in the SCIRD ***,we conduct an analysis of the model’s stability and examine the conditions under which malicious software will either spread or disappear within Edge Computing-enabled IoT(ECIoT)***,we validate the efficacy and superiority of the SCIRD model through MATLAB *** research findings offer a theoretical foundation for suppressing the propagation of malicious software in ECIoT *** experimental results indicate that the theoretical SCIRD model has instructive significance,deeply revealing the principles of malicious software propagation in ECIoT *** study solves a challenging security problem of ECIoT networks by determining the malicious software propagation threshold,which lays the foundation for buildingmore secure and reliable ECIoT networks.

Effects of maternal methyl donor intake during pregnancy on ileum methylation and function in an intrauterine growth restriction pig model

Background Intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR)affects intestinal growth,morphology,and function,which leads to poor growth performance and high *** present study explored whether maternal dietary methyl donor(MET)supplementation alleviates IUGR and enhances offspring’s growth performance by improving intestinal growth,function,and DNA methylation of the ileum in a porcine IUGR *** Forty multiparous sows were allocated to the control or MET diet groups from mating until *** farrowing,8 pairs of IUGR and normal birth weight piglets from 8 litters were selected for sampling before suckling *** The results showed that maternal MET supplementation tended to decrease the IUGR incidence and increased the average weaning weight of ***,maternal MET supplementation significantly reduced the plasma concentrations of isoleucine,cysteine,urea,and total amino acids in sows and newborn *** also increased lactase and sucrase activity in the jejunum of newborn *** addition resulted in lower ileal methionine synthase activity and increased betaine homocysteine S-methyltransferase activity in the ileum of newborn *** methylation analysis of the ileum showed that MET supplementation increased the methyla-tion level of DNA CpG sites in the ileum of newborn ***-regulated differentially methylated genes were enriched in folic acid binding,insulin receptor signaling pathway,and endothelial cell *** contrast,up-regulated methylated genes were enriched in growth hormone receptor signaling pathway and nitric oxide biosyn-thetic *** Maternal MET supplementation can reduce the incidence of IUGR and increase the weaning litter weight of piglets,which may be associated with better intestinal function and methylation status.
