BACKGROUND Mortality rates after pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD)have significantly decreased in specialized ***,postoperative morbidity,particularly delayed gastric emptying(DGE),remains the most frequent complication following *** To identify risk factors associated with DGE after the PD *** In this retrospective,cross-sectional study,clinical data were collected from 114 patients who underwent PD between January 2015 and June *** factors,pre-and perioperative characteristics,and surgical complications were *** and multivariate analyses were performed to identify risk factors for post-PD *** The study included 66 males(57.9%)and 48 females(42.1%),aged 33-83 years(mean:62.5),with a male-to-female ratio of approximately 1.4:*** were 63 cases(55.3%)of PD and 51 cases(44.7%)of pylorus-preserving *** the 114 patients who underwent PD,33(28.9%)developed postoperative *** analysis revealed significant differences in four of the 14 clinical indexes observed:pylorus preservation,retrocolonic anastomosis,postoperative abdominal complications,and early postoperative albumin(ALB).Logistic regression analysis further identified postoperative abdominal complic-ations[odds ratio(OR)=4.768,P=0.002],preoperative systemic diseases(OR=2.516,P=0.049),and early postoperative ALB(OR=1.195,P=0.003)as significant risk *** Postoperative severe abdominal complications,preoperative systemic diseases,and early postoperative ALB are identified as risk factors for post-PD DGE.

Finding the optimal control is of importance to quantum metrology under a noisy *** this paper, we tackle the problem of finding the optimal control to enhance the performance of quantum metrology under an arbitrary non-Markovian bosonic environment. By introducing an equivalent pseudomode model, the non-Markovian dynamic evolution is reduced to a Lindblad master equation, which helps us to calculate the gradient of quantum Fisher information and perform the gradient ascent algorithm to find the optimal control. Our approach is accurate and circumvents the need for the Born–Markovian approximation. As an example, we consider the frequency estimation of a spin with pure dephasing under two types of non-Markovian environments. By maximizing the quantum Fisher information at a fixed evolution time, we obtain the optimal multi-axis control, which results in a notable enhancement in quantum metrology. The advantage of our method lies in its applicability to the arbitrary non-Markovian bosonic environment.

Wnt signaling pathway is essential for development and tumorigenesis, however, this signaling pathway in the progress of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear. In this paper, we studied the function of human T-cell transcription factor-4 (TCF4), a key factor of Wnt signaling pathway, on the proliferation of HCC cell line. We showed that the expression of TCF4 mRNA in HCC cell line BEL-7402 was higher than that in immortalized normal liver cell line L02. Blockage of Wnt pathway by △NTCF4, a dominant negative TCF4, could suppress BEL-7402 cells growth and decrease the expression of cyclin D1 and c-myc, two of target genes of Wnt pathway. On the other hand, stimulating Wnt pathway by introducing a degradation-resistant β-catenin S37A could increase BEL-7402 cells proliferation. But all the treatments had no effect on L02 cells. The hot deformation behavior of Pt−10Ir alloy was studied under a wide range of deformation *** a low deformation temperature(950−1150℃),the softening mechanism is primarily dynamic *** addition,dynamic recrystallization by progressive lattice rotation near grain boundaries(DRX by LRGBs)and microshear bands assisted dynamic recrystallization(MSBs assisted DRX)coordinate the ***,it is difficult for the dynamic softening to offset the stain hardening due to a limited amount of DRXed *** a high deformation temperature(1250−1350℃),three main DRX mechanisms associated with strain rates occur:DRX by LRGBs,DRX by a homogeneous increase in misorientation(HIM)and geometric DRX(GDRX).With increasing strain,DRX by LRGBs is enhanced gradually under high strain rates;the“pinch-off”effect is enhanced at low strain rates,which was conducive to the formation of a uniform and fine microstructure.

Explorations into new electrolytes have highlighted the critical impact of solvation structure on battery performance,Classical molecular dynamics(CMD) using semi-empirical force fields has become an essential tool for simulating solvation ***,mainstream force fields often lack accuracy in describing strong ion-solvent interactions,causing disparities between CMD simulations and experimental *** some empirical methods have been employed in some of the studies to address this issue,their effectiveness has been *** CMD research,supported by quantum chemical calculations and experimental data,reveals that the solvation structure is influenced not only by the charge model but also by the polarization *** empirical approaches that focused solely on adjusting ion-solvent interaction strengths overlooked the importance of polarization *** on this insight,we propose integrating the Drude polarization model into mainstream force fields and verify its feasibility in carbonate,ether,and nitrile *** experimental results demonstrate that this approach significantly enhances the accuracy of CMD-simulated solvation *** work is expected to provide a more reliable CMD method for electrolyte design,shielding researchers from the pitfalls of erroneous simulation outcomes.

The rapid development of communication technology and high-frequency electronic devices has created a need for more advanced electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding *** response to this demand,a study has been conducted to develop multifunctional carbon nanofibers(CNFs)/polyaniline(PANI)aerogels with excellent electromagnetic interference shielding,flame retardancy,and thermal insulation *** process involved freeze-drying of electrospun CNFs and PANI nanoparticles followed by in situ growth PANI to coat the CNFs,creating the core-shell structured CNFs/PANI composite fiber and its hybrid aerogels(CP-3@PANI).The interaction between PANI and aniline(ANI)provides attachment sites,allowing additional ANI adsorption into the aerogel for in situ *** results in PANI uniformly covering the surface of the CNFs,creating a core-shell composite fiber with a flexible CNF core and PANI *** process enhances the utilization rate of the ANI monomer and increases the PANI content loaded onto the ***,effective connections are established between the CNFs,forming a stable,conductive three-dimensional network *** prepared CP-3@PANI aerogels exhibit excellent EMI shielding efficiency(SE)of 85.4 dB and specific EMI SE(SE d^(-1))of 791.2 dB cm^(3)g^(-1)in the *** to the synergistic flame-retardant effect of CNFs,PANI,and the dopant(phytic acid),the CP-3@PANI aerogels demonstrate outstanding flame-retardant and thermal insulation properties,with a peak heat release rate(PHRR)as low as 7.8 W g^(-1)and a total heat release of only 0.58 kJ g^(-1).This study provides an effective strategy for preparing multifunctional integrated EMI shielding materials.

Software security poses substantial risks to our society because software has become part of our life. Numerous techniques have been proposed to resolve or mitigate the impact of software security issues. Among them, software testing and analysis are two of the critical methods, which significantly benefit from the advancements in deep learning technologies. Due to the successful use of deep learning in software security, recently,researchers have explored the potential of using large language models(LLMs) in this area. In this paper, we systematically review the results focusing on LLMs in software security. We analyze the topics of fuzzing, unit test, program repair, bug reproduction, data-driven bug detection, and bug triage. We deconstruct these techniques into several stages and analyze how LLMs can be used in the stages. We also discuss the future directions of using LLMs in software security, including the future directions for the existing use of LLMs and extensions from conventional deep learning research.

Oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs presents considerable challenges due to their susceptibility to digestive enzymes in gastrointestinal(Gl)tract and low efficiency of transepithelial ***,inspired by efficient absorption of protein-based nutrients,we constructed several kinds of oral drug delivery systems by mimicking natural amino acid and oligopeptide absorption *** kinds of amino acids and two kinds of oligopeptides were chosen as targeting ligands to mediate transportation of orally administered nanoparticles(NPs).Liraglutide(Lira),a kind of glucagon like peptide-1(GLP-1)receptor agonist,was used as model *** functionalized NPs could protect Lira from enzymatic degradation in Gl ***,compared with amino acid-modified NPs,oligopeptide-modified NPs exhibited greater transepithelial transport efficiency and were primarily absorbed in the proximal small intestine due to the high expression and transportation mediated by proton coupled oligopeptide transporter 1(PEPT1).These Lira-loaded NPs could effectively control the blood glucose level,reduce plasma lipid level,and repair tissue damage on type 2 diabetic mice and even showed comparable hypoglycemic effects of subcutaneous injection(s.c.)free *** study demonstrates the potential of mimicking natural oligopeptide absorption route to enhance oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs.
