Interactions between long interpregnancy interval and advanced maternal age on neonatal outcomes

Background After the implementation of the universal two-child policy in China,it was more frequent to have long interpregnancy intervals(IPIs)and advanced maternal ***,the interactions between long IPIs and advanced maternal age on neonatal outcomes are *** The study subjects of this historical cohort study were multiparas with singleton live births between October 1st,2015,and October 31st,*** was defned as the interval between delivery and conception of the subsequent *** regression models were used to calculate adjusted odds ratios(aORs)and 95%confdence intervals(CIs)of the risks of preterm birth(PTB),low birth weight(LBW),small for gestation age,and 1-min Apgar score≤7 in diferent IPI *** excess risk due to interaction(RERI)was used to evaluate the additive interaction between long IPIs and advanced maternal *** Compared with the 24≤IPI≤59 months group,the long IPI group(IPI≥60 months)was associated with a higher risk of PTB(aOR,1.27;95%CI:1.07–1.50),LBW(aOR,1.32;95%CI 1.08–1.61),and one-minute Apgar score≤7(aOR,1.46;95%CI 1.07–1.98).Negative additive interactions(all RERIs<0)existed between long IPIs and advanced maternal age for these neonatal ***,IPI<12 months was also associated with PTB(aOR,1.51;95%CI 1.13–2.01),LBW(aOR,1.50;95%CI 1.09–2.07),and 1-min Apgar score≤7(aOR,1.93;95%CI 1.23–3.04).Conclusions Both short and long IPIs are associated with an increased risk of adverse neonatal *** IPI should be recommended to women planning to become pregnant *** addition,better antenatal care might be taken to balance the inferiority of advanced maternal age and to improve neonatal outcomes.

In this article,by studying the Bernstein degrees and Goldie rank polynomials,we es-tablish a comparison between the irreducible representations of G=GL_(n)(C)possessing the minimal Gelfand-Kirillov dimension and those induced from finite-dimensional representations of the maximal parabolic subgroup of G of type(n-1,1).We give the transition matrix between the two bases for the corresponding coherent families.

Observation of gapless corner modes of photonic crystal slabs in synthetic translation dimensions

Second-order topological photonic crystals support localized corner modes that deviate from the conventional bulk-edge ***,the frequency shift of corner modes spanning the photonic band gap has not been experimentally ***,we observe the gapless corner modes of photonic crystal slabs within a parameter space by considering translation as an additional synthetic *** corner modes,protected by topological pumping in synthetic translation dimensions,are found to exist independently of the specific corner *** gapless corner modes are experimentally imaged via the near-field scanning measurement and validated numerically by full-wave *** propose a topological rainbow with gradient translation,demonstrating the ability to extract and separate specific frequency components of light into different spatial *** work contributes to the advancement of topological photonics and provides valuable insights into the exploration of gapless corner modes in synthetic dimensions.

Ultra-high nickel layered oxide cathode material with high energy density is the most promising material to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the poor structural stability and severe surface/interface side reactions of the material lead to poor rate performance and cyclic stability,which limits its application in *** this paper,the dual-modification strategy of Co doping and La_(2)O_(3) coating is used to meet the above *** doping can effectively widen layer spacing and reduce Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) mixing,and La_(2)O_(3) coating can effectively eliminate the residual alkali on the surface of active material,inhibit the thickening of cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)film and reduce surface/interface side ***,the modified material(NM90-CL)with excellent electrochemical properties is achieved through the synergistic enhancement of Co doping and La_(2)O_(3) *** capacity retention rate can reach 77.9%after 200 cycles at 1.0℃ and 75.7%after 200 cycles at 5.0℃.Its reversible capacity can up to 153.5 mAh·g^(–1) at 10.0℃.This dual-modification strategy will provide theoretical guidance and technical support for the synthesis of other high-performance electrode materials.

AIM:To evaluate dry eye disease(DED)symptomatology and mental health status in different COVID-19 ***:A cross-sectional observational design was *** 123 eligible adults(46.34%of men,age range,18-59y)with COVID-19 included in the study from August to November,*** Surface Disease Index(OSDI),Five-item Dry Eye Questionnaire(DEQ-5),Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS),and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)were used in this ***:OSDI scores were 6.82(1.25,15.91)in asymptomatic carriers,7.35(2.50,18.38)in mild cases,and 16.67(4.43,28.04)in recurrent cases,with 30.00%,35.56%,and 57.89%,respectively evaluated as having DED symptoms(χ2=7.049,P=0.029).DEQ-5 score varied from 2.00(0,6.00)in asymptomatic carriers,3.00(0,8.00)in mild cases,and 8.00(5.00,10.00)in recurrent cases,with 27.50%,33.33%,and 55.26%,respectively assessed as having DED symptoms(χ2=8.532,P=0.014).The prevalence of clinical anxiety(50.00%)and depression(47.37%)symptoms were also significantly higher in patients with recurrent infection(χ2=24.541,P<0.001;χ2=30.871,P<0.001).Recurrent infection was a risk factor for high OSDI scores[odds ratio,2.562;95%confidence interval(CI),1.631-7.979;P=0.033]and DEQ-5 scores(odds ratio,3.353;95%CI,1.038-8.834;P=0.043),whereas having a fixed occupation was a protective factor for OSDI scores(odds ratio,0.088;95%CI,0.022-0.360;P=0.001)and DEQ-5 scores(odds ratio,0.126;95%CI,0.039-0.405;P=0.001).CONCLUSION:Patients with recurrent COVID-19 have more severe symptoms of DED,anxiety,and depression.

Quantitative parameter character of choroidal melanoma in contrast-enhanced ultrasound

Background Choroidal melanoma is the most common intraocular malignant tumor in adults. It threatens not only the visual function but also the patient＇s life. Therefore, it is important to find a non-traumatic, quantitative and repetitive diagnostic method. This study investigated the value of quantitative analysis of contrast-enhanced ultrasound （CEUS） in the diagnosis of choroidal melanoma. Methods CEUS were performed in 51 cases of choroidal melanoma, which were diagnosed either pathologically or clinically and in 14 cases of choroidal hemangioma. The characteristics of the time-intensity curve of the contrast agent were analyzed. For the quantitative analysis, the following parameters of the contrast agent in the lesion were included： rising time （RT）, time to peak （TTP）, maximum intensity （MI） and the mean transit time （MTT）. Results Choroidal melanoma had the following characteristics on CEUS： Choroidal lesions were completely filled with contrast agent. The typical filling pattern was centripetal, with the peripheral of the choroidal lesion filled with the contrast agent first and then the center of the lesion. In some cases, areas with contrast agent filling defect were obseved in the lesions. The contrast agent filled the lesion slower than the normal eye and orbital tissue but faded faster in the lesion. Quantitative analysis showed that in choroidal melanoma, MI of contrast agent （191.31%±146.90%） was significantly more than that of the normal tissue （100.00%±0.00%）（P 〈0.05） and MTT （（63.56±26.04） seconds） was significanly less than that of the normal tissue （（149.87±182.68）seconds）（P 〈0.05）. TTP （22.80±9.85） was less than that of the normal tissue （（29.57±24.76） seconds） and RT （（18.52±7.09） seconds） was less than that of the normal tissue （（26.45±21.83） seconds）. Feasibility of medical radioisotope production based on the proton beams at China Spallation Neutron Source

The utilization of a proton beam from the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)for producing medical radioisotopes is appealing owing to its high current intensity and high *** medical isotope production based on the proton beam at the CSNS is significant for the development of future radiopharmaceuticals,particularly for theα-emitting *** production yield and activity of typical medical isotopes were estimated using the FLUKA *** results indicate that the 300-MeV proton beam with a power of 100 kW at CSNS-II is highly suitable for proof-of-principle studies of most medical *** particular,this proton beam offers tremendous advantages for the large-scale production of alpha radioisotopes,such as 225Ac,whose theoretical production yield can reach approximately 57 Ci/*** on these results,we provide perspectives on the use of CSNS proton beams to produce radioisotopes for medical applications.

Distributed collaborative complete coverage path planning based on hybrid strategy

Collaborative coverage path planning(CCPP) refers to obtaining the shortest paths passing over all places except obstacles in a certain area or space. A multi-unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) collaborative CCPP algorithm is proposed for the urban rescue search or military search in outdoor *** to flexible control of small UAVs, it can be considered that all UAVs fly at the same altitude, that is, they perform search tasks on a two-dimensional plane. Based on the agents’ motion characteristics and environmental information, a mathematical model of CCPP problem is established. The minimum time for UAVs to complete the CCPP is the objective function, and complete coverage constraint, no-fly constraint, collision avoidance constraint, and communication constraint are considered. Four motion strategies and two communication strategies are designed. Then a distributed CCPP algorithm is designed based on hybrid strategies. Simulation results compared with patternbased genetic algorithm(PBGA) and random search method show that the proposed method has stronger real-time performance and better scalability and can complete the complete CCPP task more efficiently and stably.
