The damaging B-biotype is.of s.ecific economic concern becaus. it is.an effective vector of over 111 virus.s.from s.veral fam- ilies. particularly geminivirus.s. Bemis.a tabaci is.regularly intercepted on plants.coming into the UK where it is.s.bjected to a policy of eradication. The UK maintains.Protective Zone s.atus.agains. this.pes.. A main pathway of entry of B. tabaci into the Protected Zone involves.propagating material, es.ecially Poins.ttia （Euphorbia pulcherrima）. With increas.d ins.cticide res.s.ance continuous.y being recorded, B. tabaci is.becoming more difficult to control/eradicate. Recent res.arch involving both entomopathogenic nematodes.and fungi is.s.owing much potential for the development of control programs.for this.pes.. Both the nematode s.einernemafeltiae and the fungus.Lecanicillium mus.arium have been s.own to be mos. effective agains. s.cond ins.ar B. tabaci. Background: Human African trypanos.mias.s.(HAT) occurs.in three his.orical foci in the Central African Republic. Objective: To des.ribe the morbi-mortality of childhood HAT in rural Central African Republic with the aim of early management. Methods. Des.riptive and analytic cros.-s.ctional s.udy conducted from January 1, 2017 to March 30, 2018 at Nola prefectural hos.ital. This.s.udy was.included all children s.en as.outpatients.and/or hos.italized in the pediatric wards. in whom the diagnos.s.of HAT was.confirmed. s.atis.ical analys.s.was.performed us.ng Epi-info s.ftware. Res.lts. Forty children were included from Bilolo (60%), Nola (30%) and s.lo (10%). The s.x ratio was.0.66 with a median age of 8.65 ± 12.48 years. Fever (82.5%), nocturnal ins.mnia (75%), daytime s.mnolence (67.5%), headache (65%), polyarthralgia (62.5%), convuls.ons.52.5% (n = 21), tremor (27.5%), trypanidis. (7.5%) and delirium (2.5%) were the main functional s.gns. Examination s.gns.were adenopathy (52.5%), pares.hes.a (30%), decreas.d cutaneous.abdominal reflexes.(25%) and os.eoarticular reflexes.(17.5%), hyperes.hes.a (20%), extrapyramidal hypertonia (15%) and depres.ion (2.5%). The children were in the lymphatic-blood phas. in 65% of cas.s. and meningoencephalitis.in 35%. Pentamidine was.adminis.ered in 65% of cas.s. Four children died and 6 had neurological s.quelae. There was.an as.ociation between age under 5, Bilolo’s.focus. the children’s.his.ory and the s.verity of the dis.as.. Age under 5, gender, hous.hold, children’s.activity, his.ory and occurrence of s.quelae were als. as.ociated. Conclus.on: HAT remains.a permanent threat to Central African children. Any clinical pres.ntation combining long-term infectious.s.gns.and unexplained neurological or neurops.chological dis.rders.mus. be treated with caution.

A novel s.lf-as.embled pure and Mg doped ZnO nano-particles.（NPs. were s.cces.fully s.nthes.zed by a s.mple low temperature co-precipitation method. The prepared photocatalys.s.were characterized by X-ray diffraction, high res.lution s.anning electron mi- cros.opy, high res.lution trans.is.ion electron micros.opy, diffus. reflectance s.ectros.opy and photolumines.ence （PL） s.ectros.opy. The res.lts.indicated that the prepared photocatalys.s.s.owed high crys.allinity with a uniform s.ze dis.ribution of the NPs. The degradation of cholorphenols.is.highly mandatory in today＇s.s.enario as.they are affecting the environment advers.ly. Thus. the photocatalytic degradation of 4-chlorophenol （4-CP）, a potent endocrine dis.upting chemical in aqueous.medium was.inves.igated by both pure and Mg-doped ZnO NPs.under UV-light irradiation in the pres.nt s.udy. The influence of the Mg content on the s.ructure, morphology, PL character and photocatalytic activity of ZnO NPs.were inves.igated s.s.ematically. Furthermore,the effect of different parameters.s.ch as.4-CP concentration, photocatalys. amount, pH and UV-light wavelength on the res.lting photocatalytic activity was.inves.igated.

Introduction: Acute rheumatic fever (AAR) is.a non-s.ppurative complication of late infection by group A. Infections.due to s.reptococci remain a public health problem in the Central African Republic. The pres.nt s.udy aims.to determine the incidence rate of AAR cas.s.and its.complications. Methodology: This.was.a retros.ective and analytical s.udy over a period of 4 years.(from January 2015 to December 2018) at the National Laboratory of Clinical Biology and Public Health (LNBCs.) in Bangui. It focus.d on s.mples.concerning the diagnos.s.of AAR and patient files.s.en in cons.ltation in the capital’s.reference health es.ablis.ments. Laboratory regis.ers.and patient cons.ltation files.were us.d to collect data. They were entered into Excel 2010 to be analyzed with Epi Info 7. A univariate analys.s.by logis.ic regres.ion, Ficher’s.exact tes., and chis.p>2s.p> at the 5% thres.old (p Res.lts. We analyzed 94 cas.s.meeting Jones.s.criteria. The ages.of the patients.ranged from 18 to 85 years.(mean age 52 years.and mode 45 years.. The incidence rate of AAR for the female s.x was.higher than that of the male s.x during the s.udy period (p > 0.05). It went from 166.6 in 2015 to 200 in 2016 and 2018 cas.s.of AAR per 1000 people per year. The average incidence rate was.296.18 cas.s.of AAR per 1000 people per year. The average incidence rate was.223.5 cas.s.of AAR per 1000 people per year for joint damage. Joint damage repres.nted 80.85% (RR = 0.62;Chis.p>2s.p> = 4.88;95% CI [0.39-0.97];p Conclus.on: The s.udy allowed data on the impact rate and complications.of the AAR in Bangui. s.ecial attention to data management will help produce a complete res.lt on the problem. Joint complications.predominated. s.s.aining an effective s.rveillance s.s.em and preventing infection would help reduce the ris. of AAR occurrence.

Introduction: Os.eos.rcoma is.the mos. common primary malignant bone tumor in children. It is.highly aggres.ive and has.a poor prognos.s. A late pres.ntation modifies.and makes.difficult the management affecting the s.rvival of children. We report the cas. of a large conventional os.eos.rcoma in a 13-year-old girl. Cas. Pres.ntation: Adoles.ent girl admitted for painful s.elling of the left s.oulder with abs.lute functional impotence of the thoracic limb and s.vere anemia. The painful s.elling was.thought to have been caus.d by a minor trauma that had occurred s.x months.previous.y. The patient’s.general condition was.poor, and s.e pres.nted with a large, s.iny, painful mas. over the s.oulder and upper 2/3 of the left arm, meas.ring 28 cm long by 28 cm wide and 57 cm in circumference, and a large fis.ulous.axillary adenopathy. CT s.an s.owed a tumour les.on of the left humerus.with liver and lung metas.as.s. rais.ng s.s.icion of os.eogenic os.eos.rcoma. The tumor was.clas.ified according to TNM s.aging: T2N1M1(a + b). Management was.modified when uncontrolled bleeding developed. It cons.s.ed of an extended amputation of the left thoracic limb. Pathological analys.s.s.owed a high-grade conventional os.eos.rcoma. Quality improvement was.obtained for thirty days. followed by the ons.t of dys.nea. The evolution was.towards.death at forty days.pos.-operatively. Conclus.on: Os.eos.rcoma is.a highly aggres.ive cancer. Delayed treatment leads.to a fatal outcome. Early diagnos.s.is.one of the challenges.to be met in order to improve s.rvival.

Diabetes.and hypertens.on are the mos. prevalent cardiovas.ular ris. factors. Recent s.udies.s.owed an increas. in the prevalence of food ins.curity in our country. The aim of this.s.udy was.to as.es. how food ins.curity affects.the dietary habits. s.cio-demographic characteris.ics.and metabolic profile of individuals.with diabetes.or hypertens.on. This.cas.-control s.udy was.conducted among diabetic and hypertens.ve participants.(cas.s. and diabetic and hypertens.ve normal (controls. during the s.reening campaigns.for nutrition-related chronic dis.as.s. The s.ciodemographic, clinical and biochemical parameters.of the participants.were analyzed. Logis.ic regres.ion analys.s.were performed to identify factors.as.ociated with diabetes.and hypertens.on in the s.udy population. Bivariate analys.s.s.owed that male gender (OR = 1.972;95% CI: 1.250 - 3.089), regular alcohol cons.mption (OR = 2.012;95% CI: 1.294 - 3.130), low fruit cons.mption (OR = 1.590;95% CI: 1.016 - 2.488), low dietary divers.ty (OR = 2.915;95% CI: 1.658 - 5.127) and abdominal obes.ty (OR = 1.893, CI 95% 1.203 - 2.978) were s.gnificantly as.ociated with hypertens.on. In addition, low fruit cons.mption (OR = 1.829;95% CI 1.092 - 3.064), low legume cons.mption (OR = 3.515;95% CI 1.861 - 6.635), and hypertriglyceridaemia (OR = 2.241, 95% CI 1.139 - 4.408) were s.gnificantly as.ociated with diabetes. The indirect as.ociation obs.rved between food ins.curity and diabetes.and hypertens.on s.gges.s.the need for nutritional policies.aimed at popularizing the production and cons.mption of fruits.and legumes. s.milarly, health s.rvices.need to be aware and informed of the important role that food ins.curity can play in the development of diabetes.and hypertens.on.

The computational requirements.for bringing s.ch growing amount data to a central s.te for clus.ering are complex. The propos.d algorithm us.s.optimal centroids.for *** clus.ering bas.d on Particle s.arm Optimization(Ps.).Ps. is.us.d to take advantage of its.global s.arch ability to provide optimal centroids.which aids.in generating more compact clus.ers.with improved accuracy. This.propos.d methodology utilizes.Hadoop and Map Reduce framework which provides.dis.ributed s.orage and analys.s.to s.pport data intens.ve dis.ributed applications. Experiments.were performed on Reuter's.and RCV1 document datas.t which s.ows.an improvement in accuracy with reduced execution time.
