Use of forestry waste as an alternative raw material for generating metallurgical coke

Forestry waste(FW)is a significant renewable energy source in *** substitution of coal blends(BC)with forestry waste to produce metallurgical coke was investigated aiming at expanding alternative resources and reducing CO_(2)emissions in ironmaking *** BC with different ratios of FW were carbonized in a fixed bed reactor,and the physicochemical structure of the coke derived from FW/BC co-carbonization was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,solid-state^(13)C nuclear magnetic resonance,optical microscopy,and scanning electron *** results reveal that the suitable incorporation of FW in BC is 10 wt.%,and the index of coke quality exhibits a good correlation with the optical anisotropy index and the aromaticity of the as-obtained *** partial substitution of BC with FW exhibits potential benefits for colloid formation,owing to the higher hydrogen in ***,as the substitution ratio of BC with FW increases,it inhibits coke agglomeration due to more tortuous stacked structures formation during volatile releasing ***,it was identified that the substitution of higher BC ratios with FW results in the partial replacement of aromatic carbons by oxygenlinked carbons and aliphatic *** substitution leads to a reduction in the aromaticity of the as-obtained coke.

Tissue-specific expression, developmentally and spatially regulated alternative splicing, and protein subcellular localization of OsLpa1 in rice

The OsLpa1 gene（LOC_Os02g57400） was identified to be involved in phytic acid（PA） metabolism because its knockout and missense mutants reduce PA content in rice grain. However, little is known about the molecular characteristics of OsLpa1 in rice and of its homologues in other plants. In the present study, the spatial pattern of OsLpa1 expression was revealed using OsLpa1 promoter：：GUS transgenic plants（GUS： β-glucuronidase）; GUS histochemical assay showed that OsLpa1 was strongly expressed in stem, leaf, and root tissues, but in floral organ it is expressed mainly and strongly in filaments. In seeds, GUS staining was concentrated in the aleurone layers; a few blue spots were observed in the outer layers of embryo, but no staining was observed in the endosperm. Three OsLpa1 transcripts（OsLpa1.1, OsLpa1.2, OsLpa1.3） are produced due to alternative splicing; quantitative reversetranscriptase polymerase chain reaction（RT-PCR） analysis revealed that the abundance of OsLpa1.3 was negligible compared with OsLpa1.1 and OsLpa1.2 in all tissues. OsLpa1.2 is predominant in germinating seeds（about 5 times that of OsLpa1.1）, but its abundance decreases quickly with the development of seedlings and plants, whereas the abundance of OsLpa1.1 rises and falls, reaching its highest level in 45-d-old plants, with abundance greater than that of OsLpa1.2 in both leaves and roots. In seeds, the abundance of OsLpa1 continuously increases with seed growth, being 27.5 and 15 times greater in 28-DAF（day after flowering） seeds than in 7-DAF seeds for OsLpa1.1 and OsLpa1.2, respectively. Transient expression of chimeric genes with green fluorescence protein（GFP） in rice protoplasts demonstrated that all proteins encoded by the three OsLpa1 transcripts are localized to the chloroplast.

Utilizing electronic assisted enhancement:An innovative approach for studying the thermal decomposition and combustion of ionic liquids

Flammable ionic liquids exhibit high conductivity and a broad electrochemical window,enabling the generation of combustible gases for combustion via electrochemical decomposition and thermal *** characteristic holds significant implications in the realm of novel satellite *** a fraction of the electrical energy into energetic ionic liquid fuels,the thermal decomposition process is facilitated by reducing the apparent activation energy required,and electrical energy can trigger the electrochemical decomposition of ionic liquids,presenting a promising approach to enhance combustion efficiency and energy *** study applied an external voltage during the thermal decomposition of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazole nitrate([EMIm]NO_(3)),revealing the effective alteration of the activation energy of[EMIm]NO_(3).The pyrolysis,electrochemical decomposition,and electron assisted enhancement products were identified through Thermogravimetry-Differential scanning calorimetry-Fourier transform infrared-Mass spectrometry(TG-DSC-FTIR-MS)and gas chromatography(GC)analyses,elucidating the degradation mechanism of[EMIm]NO_(3).Furthermore,an external voltage was introduced during the combustion of[EMIm]NO_(3),demonstrating the impact of voltage on the combustion process.

GPS: graph contrastive learning via multi-scale augmented views from adversarial pooling

Self-supervised graph representation learning has recently shown considerable promise in a range of fields, including bioinformatics and social networks. A large number of graph contrastive learning approaches have shown promising performance for representation learning on graphs, which train models by maximizing agreement between original graphs and their augmented views(i.e., positive views). Unfortunately, these methods usually involve pre-defined augmentation strategies based on the knowledge of human experts. Moreover, these strategies may fail to generate challenging positive views to provide sufficient supervision signals. In this paper, we present a novel approach named graph pooling contrast(GPS) to address these *** by the fact that graph pooling can adaptively coarsen the graph with the removal of redundancy, we rethink graph pooling and leverage it to automatically generate multi-scale positive views with varying emphasis on providing challenging positives and preserving semantics, i.e., strongly-augmented view and weakly-augmented view. Then, we incorporate both views into a joint contrastive learning framework with similarity learning and consistency learning, where our pooling module is adversarially trained with respect to the encoder for adversarial robustness. Experiments on twelve datasets on both graph classification and transfer learning tasks verify the superiority of the proposed method over its counterparts.

Saline-alkaline soils are a major environmental problem that limit plant growth and crop *** membrane H^(+)-ATPases and the salt overly sensitive(SOS)signaling pathway play important roles in plant responses to saline-alkali ***,little is known about the functional genes and mechanisms regulating the transcription of H^(+)-ATPases and SOS pathway genes under saline–alkali *** the present study,we identified that the plant AT-rich sequence and zinc-binding(TaPLATZ2)transcription factor are involved in wheat response to saline-alkali stress by directly suppressing the expression of TaHA2/*** knockdown of TaPLATZ2 enhances salt and alkali stress tolerance,while overexpression of TaPLATZ2 leads to salt and alkali stress sensitivity in *** addition,TaWRKY55 directly upregulated the expression of TaPLATZ2 during saline-alkali *** knockdown and overexpression of Ta WRKY55 in wheat,Ta WRKY55 was shown to negatively modulate salt and alkali stress *** analyses confirmed that Ta PLATZ2 functions downstream of Ta WRKY55 in response to salt and alkaline *** findings provide a TaWRKY55–TaPLATZ2–TaHA2/TaSOS3 regulatory module that regulates wheat responses to saline-alkali stress.
