Viral-mediated gene therapy in pediatric neurological disorders

Imprinting methylation and assisted reproductive technology

Assisted reproductive technology （ART） is an important treatment for infertile people of reproductive age and is also known as fertility treatment. The processes of ART involves the isolation, handling and culture of early embryos, which may result in alterations in genomic methylation at specific loci and influence the proper establishment and maintenance of genomic imprints. Recent studies have identified an increased incidence of imprinting disorders via ART. In this article, we reviewed that the ART may be prone to induction of imprinting methylation errors during embryonic development. Further studies are necessary to elucidate the safety of ART in this field.

Porous organic cages(POCs)with permanent porosity and excellent host–guest property hold great potentials in regulating ion transport behavior,yet their feasibility as solid-state electrolytes has never been testified in a practical ***,we design and fabricate a quasi-solid-state electrolyte(QSSE)based on a POC to enable the stable operation of Li-metal batteries(LMBs).Benefiting from the ordered channels and cavity-induced anion-trapping effect of POC,the resulting POC-based QSSE exhibits a high Li+transference number of 0.67 and a high ionic conductivity of 1.25×10^(−4) S cm^(−1) with a low activation energy of 0.17 *** allow for homogeneous Li deposition and highly reversible Li plating/stripping for over 2000 *** a proof of concept,the LMB assembled with POC-based QSSE demonstrates extremely stable cycling performance with 85%capacity retention after 1000 ***,our work demonstrates the practical applicability of POC as SSEs for LMBs and could be extended to other energy-storage systems,such as Na and K batteries.

Integrated Equipment with Functions of Current Flow Control and Fault Isolation for Multiterminal DC Grids

The multi-terminal direct current(DC)grid has extinctive superiorities over the traditional alternating current system in integrating large-scale renewable *** the DC circuit breaker(DCCB)and the current flow controller(CFC)are demanded to ensure the multiterminal DC grid to operates reliably and ***,since the CFC and the DCCB are all based on fully controlled semiconductor switches(e.g.,insulated gate bipolar transistor,integrated gate commutated thyristor,etc.),their separation configuration in the multiterminal DC grid will lead to unaffordable implementation costs and conduction power *** solve these problems,integrated equipment with both current flow control and fault isolation abilities is proposed,which shares the expensive and duplicated components of CFCs and DCCBs among adjacent *** addition,the complicated coordination control of CFCs and DCCBs can be avoided by adopting the integrated equipment in themultiterminal DC *** order to examine the current flow control and fault isolation abilities of the integrated equipment,the simulation model of a specific meshed four-terminal DC grid is constructed in the PSCAD/EMTDC ***,the comparison between the integrated equipment and the separate solution is presented a specific result or conclusion needs to be added to the abstract.

Visible-light-responsive homologous heterostructure of oxynitrides constructed to boost charge separation and water splitting

Constructing type II heterostructures represents a widely recognized strategy for enhancing charge separation and photocatalytic efficiency,but it remains challenging to fabricate homologous heterostructures based on visible-light-responsive semiconductors,especially for popularly investigated （oxy）nitrides with low thermal ***,we synthesized a homologous heterostructure （denoted as YTON＿H） based on the oxynitrides of YTaO4-xNyand YTa *** heterostructure exhibits type II band structure alignment and intimate interface achieved through a magnesium （Mg） powder-assisted nitridation *** with widely reported heterologous heterostructures,the as-obtained YTON＿H homologous heterostructure could similarly exhibit enhanced charge separation as well as photocatalytic water splitting performance with respect to its counterparts(YTaO4-xNyand YTaON2).Meanwhile,detailed structural characterizations and spectroscopy analysis have been made to confirm the formation of heterostructure and promotion of spatial charge separation.

齿状突游离小骨合并寰枢椎脱位的外科治疗临床经验

目的总结齿状突游离小骨合并寰枢椎脱位患者外科治疗的经验。方法回顾性分析唐都医院神经外科2010年8月~2015年12月治疗的9例齿状突游离小骨合并寰枢椎脱位患者的临床资料。所有患者均采用颈后路寰枢椎椎弓根螺钉或者枕颈螺钉内固定植骨融合术进行治疗,统计并比较术前术后影像学测量指标（改良寰齿前间距MADI,脊髓可用间隙SAC）及JOA评分评价手术疗效。结果 9例患者均成功实施手术,无手术相关并发症发生;术后患者的症状均明显改善,MADI明显缩小,SAC明显增加,颈髓角〉135°;手术前和手术后3个月时的JOA评分比较,差异有统计学意义（P〈0.05）;术后3个月时复查寰枢椎均达到复位和骨性融合。结论对齿状突游离小骨合并寰枢椎脱位患者,采用术中寰枢椎复位,寰枢椎椎弓根螺钉或枕颈螺钉内固定术可以有效进行寰枢椎的融合,固定效果良好,缓解脊髓受压,改善了齿状突游离小骨及寰枢椎脱位导致的神经功能症状。

Establishing the vector-meson-exchange dominance for the short range interactions of light quarks

Understanding the interactions between constituent quarks is one of the fundamental and challenging problems in hadron physics. At present, the constituent quark models have achieved great success in describing the properties of hadrons, whereas some long-standing disputes remain, especially for the short range interactions between constituent quarks. In exploring the dynamic mechanism between u/d quarks, it is found that the one gluon exchange and/or vector meson exchange induced interactions may dominate the short range interactions [1].

Effect of lamellarization on the microstructure and mechanical properties of marine 10Ni5CrMoV steel

Multistage heat treatment involving quenching(Q),lamellarizing(L),and tempering(T)is applied to marine 10Ni5CrMoV *** microstructure and mechanical properties were studied by multiscale characterizations,and the kinetics of reverse austenite transformation,strain hardening behavior,and toughening mechanism were further *** lamellarized specimens possess low yield strength but high toughness,especially cryogenic *** leads to the development of film-like reversed austenite at the martensite block and lath boundaries,refining the martensite structure and lowering the equivalent grain *** analysis of austenite reversion based on the JMAK model shows that the isothermal transformation is dominated by the growth of reversed austenite,and the maximum transformation of reversed austenite is reached at the peak temperature(750℃).The strain hardening behavior based on the modified Crussard-Jaoul analysis indicates that the reversed austenite obtained from lamellarization reduces the proportion of martensite,significantly hindering crack propagation via martensitic transformation during the *** a consequence,the QLT specimens exhibit high machinability and low yield *** with the QT specimen,the ductile-brittle transition temperature of the QLT specimens decreases from-116 to-130℃due to the low equivalent grain size and reversed austenite,which increases the cleavage force required for crack propagation and absorbs the energy of external load,*** work provides an idea to improve the cryogenic toughness of marine 10Ni5CrMoV steel and lays a theoretical foundation for its industrial application and comprehensive performance improvement.

For any pair of integers g and n with g ≥ 3 and 1 ≤ n ≤ g, we build a 3-manifold with a distance-2,genus-g Heegaard splitting so that(1) it contains n pairwise disjoint and nonisotopic essential tori;(2) after it is cut open along these tori, one resulting piece is hyperbolic while the others are small Seifert fibered spaces;(3) it provides a substantial result to the rank versus genus problem. These generalize a result in Qiu and zou(2019).
